Ambience 4/5 Starting with hot, there are sensitive places to try to find parking in this town however, most of it is two hour parking. I am reviewing in the standpoint of studying so this is not exactly ideal. However, as I need a location this would be great. The interior of the coffee shop is very unique and very individualized. The tables and decor were carried over from the old location and I have been told that Mishka is a staple in the Davis community. Plenty of seating. But it has to be made known that the seating near the door is strictly enforced to be sit and chat/enjoy food and drinks, no studying. The seating further in is open for studying and using your laptop. Several locations for outlets along the wall which makes it very nice. Drink 4/5 $5 got a lavender latte 16oz. Im not even sure if there was really espresso in it, but it tasted almost like lavender tea in soy milk. Pretty tasty but light on the caffeine I believe. The drinks come in either 8/10oz?, 16oz, or 20oz. The mid is a great between :). Overall 3.5-4/5 Tasty drinks (heads the teas are better) but not a great place to study for too long. Especially since for WiFi you have to purchase something, get a special code that gives you WiFi for two hours only. Might be back to try something in the future! read more

Such a fun cafe! I love the inside because it's so cute with all of their fun signs :). I would've loved indoor dining but either way their service, coffee, and outdoor aesthetic is a 10/10! I got the Mishka's latte and my sister enjoyed a lavender latte and they were both amazing. If you're looking for a good classic vanilla latte then try out the mishka one! I finally had the chance to go to Mishka's just recently and I'm glad I got to explore this amazing spot. Going in, they have lots of space to sit & study and their drink options are endless with various teas and coffee drinks. They also have great baked goods, especially vegan ones too, so that was nice to see. I had gotten just an iced coffee with a piece of baklava and my friend got an iced chai latte with a gingersnap cookie. The iced coffee was smooth and pairing it with the baklava was a good choice since the baklava was sweet & somewhat sticky too. The hotel's coffee was not very good. After checking Yelp to see which place had the best coffee Davis, it was a no brainer to come here. The only problem was that my GPS tried to get me lost by telling me that I had arrived when I was still a block away. Since it got me close, I was able to find Mishka's. There were a couple of people ahead of me when I arrived. The line moved pretty quickly. The server told me to get an espresso drink after I asked what they did best. I ended up getting a Latte. They were pretty quick in making it. After getting my drink, I was able to use their free wifi to check in. The Latte was good. I didn't have to add sugar in it. It was perfect the way they gave it to me. They gave it to me in a cup, as if I was going to drink it there. It made for a good picture. When I told them that I needed it in a to go cup, they gladly switched cups for me. They had lots of tables. However, a lot of them were taken at 7:45 AM. But, I did manage to find an empty table. Overall, it was a nice experience here. I'm sure I will be back when I am in the area again. read more

The owner is rude and it felt to me like he was being racist to me. He disrespected me and my wife as we sat outside at one of their tables mistakenly. He walked by and with no explanation, spoke at us rudely about using their table, which was an honest mistake, and continued to walk into the store without an explanation or any decency as human being or approach and talk to us politely or with respect. I was only brown person there and he did not treat the other non-brown people there the same way. I feel that if I were old and/or white, he would have approached me differently. While others may have great experience at Mishka's or with the owner, I wanted to share my specific experience. I've patronized Mishka's in the past with no other issues and enjoy their coffee, but today's interaction with the owner was uncalled for and unnecessary. He could have simply approached me and my wife politely except he chose the lesser path to treat a person of color as if I were a person that didn't deserve respect to be spoken to politely. I expect an established business like Mishka's to do a better job with treating people with respect in such a diverse town. This is my experience that I wanted to share. Mishka's itself is a great coffee shop, it's just too bad the owner choose a poor way to communicate with me today. I'm sure others have had great stories to share of the owner, but today is that today. He's lost my business indefinitely. read more

This is the best cafe in Davis. The inside is cozy, the drinks are delicious, and the baked goods are delectable. The art on the walls rotates monthly, always offering reasons to return to sit for a spell. I also like the ambient music. The personnel are friendly and quick. I've been meaning to try Mishka's but haven't gone to davis often enough to stop by. I was finally able to stop by and the line was very long but they moved fairly quick. I got one of the seasonal drinks (I forgot the name) but it had raw honey in it. Super good. My bf got the cold brew as he does everywhere he goes and he really enjoyed it. This is the one coffee shop that opens till the latest (11pm) in Davis. Thank you! (I needed those late night hours at a coffee shop studying!) I love studying at coffee shops and this place not only provides a good amount of seating, it also provides plenty of electric outlets! There are so many students, as expected - especially during midterms or finals week. Sometimes I had to wait about ten minutes to get a seat. It isn't spacious enough for people to walk through the aisles/rows to get a seat. I feel like I would have to bother the person or people already seated when trying to get to a seat because the tables and seats are so narrowly placed next to each other. I love their cappuccinos! I loved this little cafe or a quick coffee and oatmeal. The ambiance is really nice - warm and cozy. TONS of students studying and working on homework. Nice and friendly workers. First visit. Really happy my UC Davis daughter recommended Mishka's! First the coffee is organic and fair trade sourced. I tried the Dark Balkan Night and it was great. This is a cute coffee shop in Davis that my mom and I chanced upon after having lunch in the area. The decor is rustic and homey feeling. I like that they have areas of the cafe that are marked as 'work free, laptop free' zones, allowing for patrons who are simply visiting for a cup of coffee and conversation to be able to find a seat. However, I'm not sure how strongly they enforce this rule because there were still a few individuals in the designated area obviously doing work. Went here for a quick pick-me-up a couple days ago. I have studied here before and had some good tea while I was writing a paper. It is very small and cramped in the cafe. I enjoyed the variety of tea that they have but it was too crowded for my taste.
