A place that I would normally drive past, was completely worth the stop. Everything was pretty good. The beef and falafel were slightly cooked more than I would like, but still very good. After wondering where to find good shawarma near us, I finally realized that the little place I always pass but never stop in would be worth a shot. This was my husband's first Mediterranean adventure. I always like when places have a combo plate showcasing their different selections, especially when it's a cuisine that not everyone is familiar with. That being said we went for the Combination Platter: chicken, beef and kufta kabob, chicken shawarma, falafel, a ton of hummus, & tons of rice. The rice was properly cooked, and the hummus was a great. The falafel was decent, I've had better but it wasn't bad. The chicken shawarma was very flavorful. Some pieces were a little charred but I totally enjoyed those bits the best. The kabobs were well seasoned however the beef was very tough considering it seemed to be cooked to a perfect medium, it was not worth the work to chew it. Neither my husband nor myself enjoyed the kufta kabob, it again seemed tough which is quite odd for ground meat. Overall if you need your shawarma fix, this place will do, but I can't say it's my first choice. read more

Food is delicious and authentic. We order to go most of the time, but service is nice when dining in. Restaurant itself is very unassuming and nothing to write home about. However it's clean and the food is the real star. It also fulfills our households diets as half of us are vegan and the other half is omni, so we can all get what we want. TL;DR - Stop reading and go now! Stopped in on our way to FFF and boy oh boy were we rewarded. This little hole in the wall had some of the best Mediterranean food I have ever had in my life. We got the Mishkenut special, it started with fresh hummous, falafels and pitas 10/10 Then the meat showed up, I am not a huge fan of lamb so the kufta was not my cup of tea but from what I understand it was excellent. All of the meat was WAY better than we were expecting. The rice was perfectly done. 10/10 Our server, owner, cook was wonderful to deal with. The little chocolates on top of the check were the icing on the perfect meal. The meal for 2 of us was $31 and we had enough left overs for a full meal the next day for 2. It was definitely the best hummus I've ever had and we have family from Lebanon! The chicken kebab was very tender, I could cut it with a fork, the beef had such great flavor. No doubt they know their food. I would have given it 5 stars, but when ordering the gentleman was very rude on the phone. Being as we have never been there before, I had some questions regarding the menu. His answers were short and snippy. I Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. The interior of the place is relatively nondescript, with a few decorative touches on the walls to signify the type of cuisine. I will say that the pedestrian tables and chairs are far outclassed by the food, which is quite good. My dining companion and I ordered raspberry iced tea. If you like sweet beverages, this is the one for you. If you like a strong tea-flavor, I would look elsewhere. For our entree, we opted for the Mish Special (a combo platter for two), to get a feel for the range of the restaurant. Upon placing our order, the server suggested that we move from our two-top to a four top, as the food quantity and dishes would prove unwieldy without some room to breathe. I thought that was a nice touch. The food came out after a reasonable amount of time (first the falafel - 4 pcs., and hummus with pita) then the platter of proteins. The falafel was good, hot, not too dry, and a good accompaniment to the creamy hummus, which had a little drizzle of olive oil on top, along with what I believe was a bit of sumac. The pita was nice, but nothing exceptional. Of the meats, I think the beef kabob was the best - juicy and flavorful. The kufta kabob was also delicious. Of the chicken, the kabob turned out nice, though a little less juicy than I would have preferred. Unfortunately, the chicken shawerma was lukewarm by the time it hit the table (perhaps because of the geometry of the pieces), but it was tasty. All in all, I thought the Mish Special was an excellent choice. I would unhesitatingly recommend Mishkenut to anyone looking for solid Mediterranean food. Our server was excellent. He checked on us multiple times throughout the meal, which had great flavor. I would love it if the interior furnishing could be bumped up a notch to match the food, but I would come back as-is in a heartbeat. read more

I ordered a mish special and got basically all hummus, barely any meat and a box of rice. $6 for tabbouleh and the tray was empty. I've heard great things about this place but I was disappointed. Great options for vegans! I really enjoyed the food and The staff.The mint tea is great and I love the cups they serve the tea in. I recently switched to a vegan lifestyle so I've been goimg to places that offer vegan dishes. I wasn't disappointed. I had the apple, walnut,and feta salad (minus feta). The house vinaigrette is amazing and the service came with a smile. My cousin and I went; she's pescatarian and she really enjoy the salmon and how fresh it taste. We truly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back soon. We learned that majority of the visitors there are vegetarians vegans and pescetarians. The staff has great conversation really educated us on our options and what they could do to enhance our experience. I ordered take out from Mishkenut about a month ago and forgot to review! The woman I spoke to on the phone was so nice and seemed very knowledgeable. We got the apple cranberry salad which was awesome and basically the salad I always order whenever I'm out. It was huge too (that's a trend! Everything was!)my mother and law and I got the pollo limon and it was amazing. It came with 4!! Chicken breasts! So we could have shared for sure. My husband and father in law got the chicken and steak kebobs. Also really good and a ton of food. The hummus was to die for. I could eat a gallon of it!
