My family get takeout for me every time I come home because their shawarma and hummus are some of the best in the US, I'm not kidding, I have been doing extensive studies. Inside it's part grocery store and then part restaurant, and I always find the best spices for sale. Everyone who works here is always really nice, and everything is so clean. The pictures probably don't describe how large the portion is, but I think it's really good value. The dining room is nicely decorated, I appreciate the furniture and the artwork. We did bring home two boxes worth of food. The beef and lamb koubideh is wonderfully cooked and it was steaming hot when it arrived at our table. What a sight! Hi my name is Mary and I went to Mishkenut Mediterranean cuisine repeatedly after my first time and it was delicious. The first time I had ordered was beef kabob was tremendously tender and delicious with many good spices, with a side of rice. After I was done with my meal the chef came and introduced himself as Chef Abe he was very nice and really offered me other meals like his fillet mignon with his special cream sauce and dry mushrooms. So i waited about 3 days later and visited Mishkenut again and ordered the fillet mignon tornado with dry mushrooms and cream sauce and i only have 2 words to describe it "absolutely delicious". It was very different from other sauces at restaurants. it had a very nice touch with the ingredients. Never in my life have I ever tasted such an amazing cream sauce with the dried mushrooms that he used. And many restaurants that I have been to the fillet ran up to $50 dollars but at Mishkenut it was only $19.95 with his side of rice, steamed vegetables, or pasta. It is such a great deal I loved it! I knew that the food was great but I didnt really know it would be that great. I highly recommend the fillet mignon with any of Chef Abe's cream sauces. After I knew that these 2 times that I came I just had to tell my friend about this place so I invited her to go out to dinner with me once again at Mishkenut. We wanted to change it up a little so we decided to order 2 different kinds of veal. I ordered veal limon which was excellent. Its ingredients were spectacular it had such a delightful taste I couldn't stop eating it. My friend Jackie ordered veal with mushrooms and another one of Abe's special cream sauce and she loved it also. It only ran uo to $14.95 with a side of rice. We both loved it and tasted each others. I hope that everyone realizes that this food is not only amazing, but affordable.And on top of our meal he gave us homemade chocolate made with almonds and chocolate and by that time I bought a whole box for only $10 dollars. I wish the best luck for Chef Abe and his family. And I give my thanks to Chef Abe for opening this amazing business and food. Best luck to him. I know he will make it! read more

What can I say, I am out done! My daughter was going away to the Middle East, and because of this, I wanted her to have a gathering with her friends and family before she left. I wanted everyone to experience Middle Eastern cuisine. My friend, Mrs. KD found Mishkenut and told me about it. The food spoke for itself. From the scrumptious beef kabobs to the amazing chicken shawerma, coupled with green fatoosh salad along with the smooth delicious hummus, and amazing succulent stuffed grape leaves with lamb, not excluding the superb baba ghanouj, the spicy, excellent falafels, the beautifully crusted spinach pie, the filled delicious samboosa, and the deep fried kibbeh that is so big that if you split it in half with two people each would be able to taste the full effect of this well-seasoned appetizer, it has a flavor all by itself. Last, but not least, the sweet prune rolls wrapped with turkey bacon that will just make you appreciate every bite. The one thing that topped off this extremely wonderful, enjoyable meal was the owner's daughter. Who was not only professional, but concerned herself with me and what I wanted to accomplish for our daughter's fellowship. Since this restaurant is family owned the staff is especially attentive to your needs and very helpful. This cuisine is not very familiar to this user but the staff explained the menu and customs associated with the foods. FOOD I have eaten here now more than 20 times. I went here today w my daughters. Each time we were here before, we had a kind woman serve us. Today we instead had a violent tall man serve us. I felt unsafe having my young daughters there. I understand that a family business hires their relatives, but you can't have a rude and, honestly violent, person serve customers. On the way out, he said to me when my daughters, "get the fuck off". We wanted to call the police and may still call the police department. I fear for anyone who is served alone by him. Been going here since they first opened. It's right next door to Schoop's and I always am drawn to the prospect of their food. So after returning the inedible meat for some meat that wasn't from the outside of the Spick, we attempted to eat this food and it made us sick. I had the worst indigestion. I don't know what was in that mystery tzatziki sauce, but it gave me a very bad upset stomach. My husband Ended up throwing out his food as did I. Unfortunately, after eating their on and off for the past 16 years that we've been married and living here, we will not be eating there any longer. I know that being a business owner is tough. I know that they have to be creative and fine ways to cut cost. However, they have to ask them sales will it ultimately cause them to lose business Because not only am I no longer eating there, I used to DoorDash from there when I had company, we won't be doing that any longer or referring people. Our health is the most important thing that we can take care of next to our children and of course, even more so our relationship with Christ. I can't risk my health eating food that is improperly prepared so someone can make as much money as possible in their business selling that food. It is on fair. From now on I'll be cooking from home a lot more on the weekends to prep for the week so I don't need to do these last-minute stops in the middle of the day for my lunch and my husband's dinner, it's unfortunate but it is a lesson well learned and $31 That I unfortunately just flush down the drain because I also paid a tip.
