I've heard so many great things about this restaurant. My sister eats here regularly. Lots of booth seating on either side of space. Large banquet style tables in the center. A little strange, but huge place. Friendly server seated us & took our order. Expansive menu. I ordered the falafel sandwich with the bread wrap. My sister got the chicken shawarma wrap. I have eaten at this place multiple times. I think the service is very good. I usually buy the lentil soup, which is also outstanding. I have eaten the Brenzwni fish. beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, and gyro. The desert menu is limited (baklava), but that is okay for me because baklava is probably the only thing I crossed my mind when I am thinking about a dessert at a Mediterranean restaurant anyway. I'm not sure what to make of the ambience. I would say the restaurant is clean and well suited for lunch or an after work meal. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at this clean and friendly restaurant. We started with flavorful falafel and fresh Arabic salad, both of which we liked very much. For main courses, we chose the mixed grill -- the chicken was marinated beautifully and grilled perfectly, while the beef was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. It was served with two sides of rice and vegetables, which complemented the meal well. My husband tried the gyros and loved them. I couldn't resist taking home some Baklava -- it was so delicious that only two pieces made it into the house! We were looking for Mediterranean food this weekend and we decided on Olive Leaves. The room is bright and airy, with framed art on the walls. My experience with Mediterranean food is somewhat limited, so we both chose a shawarma platter with chicken and beef, grilled vegetables and red and yellow rice. The meal started with a colorful little salad of crunchy vegetables and vinagrette dressing. The platter was a LOT of food for the money and was accompanied by garlic sauce and another container of tahini sauce. Our waiter checked on us a couple of times and answered our questions. I've been dying to come here and finally got the chance to today. I was NOT disappointed! Came with my mom for a late lunch. Recently, she came here for the first time for her friend's birthday. Anyway, the place is very clean, brightly colored, and modern. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We ordered some iced teas and an order dolmas for appetizers. Dolma is my ultimate favorite food ever! These were STELLAR! So good! My mom's shrimp was huge and she loved it. There was plenty left over for her to take home, too. For starters, I ordered lentil soup and hummus and pitas. I have to be honest and say that the lentil soup made with red lentils was the best mental soup I've ever had and I've had a lot that pills in comparison to the hummus. It was so silky, smooth, and utterly delicious. My wife and I agreed that it was the best hummus we've ever had and we've been eating hummus for decades. For a main course, we had the mixed grill we upgraded to shrimp instead of a coughed up and had steak and chicken . Everything came out piping hot and it was the juiciest chicken and steak and shrimp. It was simply amazing for the food on the plate. Also came with the yellow rice and a red rice. Both were good although I did like the yellow butter. It also included pickled vegetables which tasted out of this world. The meal also came with a salad, consisting of cucumbers and tomatoes and lettuce and herbs. It was quite good. I appreciated it and it's coming home with me. It's a very cute little place on the inside quiet with nice decor and the food is simply amazing. You'll definitely be back. I cannot recommend this higher overall I give it in 9.4. Steve had the chicken and beef Schwarma platter and it came with a salad and two kinds of rice. Mom had the chicken sandwich that came in a crispy roll. We saw the reopening happened recently and really wanted to check it out! We love Mediterranean food and were super excited to have this in Griffith! The service and staff were amazing and made our visit such a great time. My boyfriend loves beef shawarma sandwiches and I got the mix grill platter so we could try the meats for future reference. It turns out I liked the sandwich way more than my grill platter and ate a lot of his sandwich haha. It was so juicy, the pickles were delish, and the wrap was nice and toasty. And the fries had some really good seasoning and I loved the pickled vegetables it came with. I also tried the Turkish coffee and it was a steal for $2! Tasted so good with the baklava as the sweetness got cancelled out by the bitter coffee. Also we didn't expect to have an assortment of baklava and we both loved the rolled up ones the most. The coffee is a must for the baklava! There were actually a good amount of people for the odd time we arrived (around 3 on a Saturday) and it was a pleasant surprise. I always get carry out. I also always include "special instructions" such as "do not include onions, or "please add two extra tahini sauces". And always they ignore the instructions box included in the online order menu. It's not worth the effort to drive or pay the money when the meal is not served as I requested.
