Cesar was amazing and even put my food in the to go container for me ! We had a great experience and tasty, hot noodles on a cold day. The general consensus from our table was "Delicious, if you love garlic!". All of the dishes, but especially the broth in our ramen/udon tasted like someone had a field day with a bag of garlic cloves. We're team "no such thing as too much garlic", but we also know people who would think our meal today was unedible, so, tread with caution if you visit here. As a side note, the spicy edamame description on the menu lists "sesame seeds" only, but to us the garlic sauce tasted, looked, and smelled like peanut sauce, similar to a satay. The host was very friendly, and even though there were a few parties ahead of me, I was seated in under five minutes, super efficient! I tried to go on my first day but the line was wrapped outside the door--which told me right away this was the spot for ramen. A lot of ramen spots lean heavily on pork, which I wasn't in the mood for, so being able to customize my bowl was a big plus. The flavor was absolutely amazing--rich, balanced, and comforting. Easily a 10/10 on the ramen. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were very attentive and provided great service. The star of this show is not the service, it's not the variety of items, it's THE RAMEN. I could probably drop this to 3-4 stars because of how I felt with the service or the edamame, but the ramen blew me so far out of the water that it's easily a 5-star worthy restaurant. Let's start with the ramen. I ordered the Tonkatsu with a level 1 spice (You can choose up to 3) for a little kick on top of a classic pork broth. Every ingredient in this biowl of ramen complemented one another. Mise en place was practiced when they cooked up this bowl of ramen, as the presentation was BEAUTIFUL. The broth was creamy and full of punchy flavors bursting out of it, the soft-boiled eggs perfectly cooked to a creamy near-gelatin inside, and the pork belly was by far the best pork belly I've had in a bowl of ramen. It melts into your mouth as if it was made in a high-level barbecue restaurant and transported immediately into this bowl. 10/10. No issues with the ramen, this was the most stellar bowl of ramen I have ever had, and I've been to LOTS of ramen restaurants around the Southeast! When it comes to the downsides, they were so minimal I decided to negate them, but I'll bring them up anyways. I came in at an early time, and I understand from restaurant experience that it's hard to go the extra mile for every guest that comes in. I got my order taken pretty quickly, the waitress was friendly, and I got the check in a timely manner. The times that weren't my favorite were when my drink was empty for several minutes without offer of a refresh, and it wasn't a busy time when it came to how many guests were dining in. Nothing wrong with the base-level service, but nothing over the top to where it really stood out to me as great service. The second was the edamame, while the top and outer edges were piping hot, the edamame in the middle was quite cold, telling me the way it was reheated wasn't exactly ideal. Since they're just soybeans, it wont affect my 5-stars. I know this has been a long review, but bottom line, GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! If you love ramen, this ramen will love you back. The jammy eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. Both of us had pork in our dishes, which was amazing and not too fatty. Now, the curry broth was absolutely phenomenal. The warm spices and creamy texture was to die for. I got it at a spice level 2 out of 3 and felt like I definitely could have gone up to a 3. For reference, I usually prefer a medium to hot level of spice. My husband got his spice level 3 out of 3 and also wanted more. Just something to keep in mind when ordering! The tonkatsu was incredibly flavorful and savory. Overall, the ramen was the best I've had in Raleigh so far. My only qualm is the lack of spice, but I will just know to order it hotter next time! My daughter chose Miso Ramen for dinner this evening. We arrived around 6:30 and it was pretty crowded. I realized they aren't open on Monday's, so possibly that's why it was so busy on a Tuesday. They mentioned they had a huge lunch crowd as well. We sat at the bar, and Joe took great care of us. We ordered yummy cocktails and appetizers first, of course asking Joe for his suggestions. We ordered the pork belly fries and the wings, but they were out of wings due to the high volume lunch crowd. The pork belly fries were absolutely amazing. I couldn't stop eating them. For entrees she ordered Ramen and I ordered a noodle entree. We both enjoyed our entrees, but were so full from the pork belly fries, we only ate a little and took the rest home. The ambiance was cool, it's dimly lit, lots of tables, mostly all close together, and a few booths. There's about 10 seats or so at the bar. Miso Ramen Bar was amazing I have been to 10+ different Ramen shops From Indiana ,Chicago,Minnesota,Pennsylvania,Georgia And now North Carolina to the list. When traveling for work I always have to try a Ramen shop in the local town. I normally rate the food by how much of the broth I am able to finish. Out of all the Ramen shops I've been there was only one time where I was able to finish the broth and that was Chicago at Arlington Heights in Mitsuwa Market at Hokkaido Ramen. Miso Ramen Bar was amazing I finished every last drop of the Broth in my bowl. Service was excellent. Everyone was nice and friendly. The Ambiance Was cool from anime to watch while you eat to catchy songs to hear in the background. I would totally go back again if I travel to Raleigh,NC in the future. The spicy tan tan ramen was incredible and filled with umami flavor. I spent six years living in Hawaii and I have experienced some of the best ramen you can find outside of Japan, this ramen bar meets the mark in every category. The music, staff, and energy in the restaurant makes you feel comfortable and assured that every need you have will be filled. When we ordered they offered to give us small portions of broth to try before we ordered. The drinks were very good and would love to try more of them. After enjoying our meal the general manager came out with two complimentary wings to try and they were crispy and filled with flavor. I live in Jacksonville and I will be returning very soon just to eat here again. This is the gold standard of what you should expect in a restaurant when it comes to food, service, and company. The remaining items we got were good as well, but not at the same level as the wings to me I really didn't love the chili garlic noodle entree, as it really just tasted of pure chili oil and the noodles were all stuck together. We were seated right away and several other patrons dined in at the restaurant soon after we came. There were several tables inside with nice colorful decor. There is also a bar inside. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. It was served in a large bowl with pork bone broth, eggs, corn, chasu, enoki, scallions, bok choy, and nori. We were given hot sauce to add some heat to the ramen. I only needed a little to really elevate the dish. It was really good and filling. The restaurant also offers kid size ramen servings. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ran to my favorite Ramen spot, Miso Ramen Bar, with the hope that my request could be filled. My expectations were met, exceeded, and a new gold-standard of dining is in place--thank you, everyone! Specifically everyone; Regardless of the task, the team as of Friday, Oct. 25th at Miso Ramen Bar had it handled through collaboration and shared distribution of responsibility. Here, it is clear that Cia--the amazing waitress who carried me through the entire process (Cia, if you ever read this: I feel an almost ancient awareness of your presence the moment I saw your face... you are nothing short of beautiful, and your smile warmed me.
