Says Eila, Miss Donuts is always the go to for great donuts!
Edward O.

We always enjoy our time at Miss Donuts-- great selection of donuts , plus all kinds of drinks to wash them down. Eila's is the hot chocolate.

The donuts here are good and tasty. They offer different varieties of food like bagels, croissants, cronuts. Highly recommend it when you're in the area.

The cronuts are gas, straight flames, bussin....why do reviews need to be 85 characters

THE DONUTS ARE VERY VERY HARD AND TASTE STALE! Spent $9.75 for 3 hard rocks disguised as donuts a small milk and a small Gatorade. Service was ok this place doesn't qualify for an "ambiance" rating

Dozen mini donuts

I was doing laundry and decided to getting some donuts to pass the time. The guy was kind nice, but also kinda seemed like I was bothering him. The nicer I was, the more he warmed up to me but the experience was just blah and the donuts were nothing special. Probably won't be back:

So sad!! This was our go to donut shop! Definitely won't be back! so disgusting!! Who wants a moldy centered donut

The best!

I've always wanted to try their Orange County location but just never got around to it, so I was excited to finally give them a try. I walked in expecting it to be self-serve like 85 Degrees Bakery, but it's actually set up more like a donut shop or Porto's, where most of the pastries are displayed in a case and you tell the staff what you'd like. They do have a refrigerated self-serve section with sandwiches and onigiri, as well as a table with loaves of bread and buns. The ordering process caught me off guard because I usually like taking my time looking through all the pastries at bakeries. Since everything was behind the counter, I felt a little rushed with people waiting behind me. They have so many options that it can be a bit overwhelming. I also had to stop myself from ordering too much since I'm trying to cut back on carbs. Here's what I ordered: Hot Dog Bun - 4/5: Tasty with a soft, fluffy bun. I just wish it had a little more of that cheesy crust on top. Ham and Cheese Croissant - 3/5: My boyfriend ordered this and thought it was just okay. It was a little small for the price. Strawberry Cream Croissant - 5/5: They're known for this, and now I understand why. The pastry was light and flaky, the strawberries were sweet, and the custard was rich without being overly sweet. Spam Roll Onigiri - 4/5: I loved the egg, and it was really flavorful. It was served a bit cold, though. I think it would taste even better if it were kept under a heat lamp. Raisin Bun - 5/5: So soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of raisins. It was also a great value--six buns for only $4.20. Hot Vanilla Latte - 4/5: Strong with just a light sweetness. It was really good, but I think it could have been a little creamier. The prices were reasonable. I spent about $26 for everything, which I thought was a great deal. Customer service was excellent. Even though there was a line behind me, the staff never made me feel rushed while I decided what I wanted. The barista was especially friendly and even checked in afterward to ask if I liked my latte. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely come again.

It had just a subtle hint of sweetness, and the slightly chilled cream was incredibly refreshing. The staff were so pleasant and patient with me, too. We stopped by today around 3:30PM and received quick service :) they were just bringing out some fresh doughnuts so we were able to get them super fresh! We got to try some new seasonal flavors as well as some classics. Chocolate Celebration Ring - this is a new daily flavor I believe, and I quite enjoy it! The doughnut itself is very pillowy and not dense at all like their other ones. Very different, but a good different. It reminds me of the type of doughnut you'd get at a mom n pop, which is a huge plus for me. The chocolate frosting surprisingly wasn't super sweet. Def would get again. Potato Chip Streusel - this was...interesting haha. The potato chips add a nice salty flavor to the chocolate donut itself. I wouldn't get it again, but worth a try if you're an adventurous person. Celebration Cake - one of my absolute favs. I love that they use almond flour so it has a nice nutty taste. It is very much cake like and dense, but it hits the spot every time. Highly recommend! Old-fashioned - also a great classic! It has a great mix of cinnamon and nutmeg and isn't too overly sweet. Banana Bread Latte - we got to try this and I LOVED it. It was very banana-y and I loved the touch of walnuts added in. Out of all the banana flavored coffee I've had, this was the best. Just a note, cold foam is extra, but so worth it imo! My wife and I had an enjoyable breakfast experience, tasting some unique dishes that are worth coming in for. We had a real early errand in the Lomita area, so wanted to take advantage by trying a different breakfast place. They have a really informative website, explaining the owning family's participation and how some of their food is sourced. It's a brunch place (open from 8 am to 2/3 pm, Tu-Su), so needed to wait a bit outside (street parking only, found one hour free parking right in front since coming so early). Menus are available at the front counter, and you place and pay (clover) for your order first. The food came out soon after, delivered to your table. There is a self-serve water jug in the same area as take-as-you-need take-out containers (also saw a self-serve costco-size plastic wrap box for wrapping...such a Korean thing to do). Utensils and napkins are available at the table to take for need. I really like places like this that have optimized the service experience, getting what you need without having to track someone down. Forking Around's Filipino Burrito ($18.95) - a collab with the food influencer 'Forking Around' to put into a breakfast burrito, many common ingredients from a Filipino breakfast. This includes egg, garlic fried rice as base and a vegetable lumpia with longanisa pieces, wrapped in a good flour tortilla. Sides were both a cilantro lime crema and a well made sawsawan. The sausage was not too sweet nor too red (though perhaps a bit too meatloaf-like), and the lumpia in the burrito worked for me. Korean Breakfast with bulgogi and steamed rice ($19.95) - it was served in a cast-iron skillet and the pan had been heated up greatly...super hot when served and still warm by the time we left. The flavor of the bulgogi was solid, and I loved the presentation. Taco Truck Burrito ($17.95) - korean-style al pastor pork, with pineapple and kimchi fried rice and egg. It was good....forgot to ask if the meat was really cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Came with a good chipotle salsa and lime crema. We were done in 30 minutes, from entry to exit. It wasn't too busy, so asked the front-of-house lead where the longanisa sausage and lumpia were made...she stated that it was all in-house. That's really impressive, making an ingredient from scratch that is only used in one dish. This and the elegant presentation and longevity really shows that the entire team behind bites & bashes cafe (catering) knows what they are doing.

Ie. banana turon or ube pancakes, Filipino inspired burrito with longanisa. I chose the bulgogi plate and asked for no white rice and was offered fruit or salad in lieu of. Tasty bulgogi w/a small egg on top yet the portions are very modest. In the middle of my meal, I ordered one more item- the krak fries which were very garlicky. They go for the presentation with the floral and greens to jazz up the look. Hubby's dish was straight ahead- Bulgogi cheesesteak and fries. Also modest in portions. Iced decaf Americano in a plastic cup and OJ in a plastic cup. Kinda odd considering their price points. Some beverages are in mugs. This was more like a 2.75 stars rounded up to 3.
