Yum! Friendly service. Lots of options from donuts, cinnamon rolls, cronuts and event mochi donuts. Plenty of parking. All of the donuts were yummy! They were a hit with the family

My daughter asked for fruity pebbles donuts for her birthday party school. Visited the den day before her birthday and placed a special order. Wow those donuts were huge, crispy pebbles and tasty! They also have great cronuts.

Review #236] Donut Den has been bookmarked for awhile now... I think it's because of their themed donuts for the holidays such as Valentine's, Halloween, Christmas, etc. My son got the dreaded HFM disease from daycare so he's a bit fussy & has trouble eating due to the mouth sores. Donut Den to the rescue (at least I was hoping)! The shop is located in the same plaza as Ross Dress for Less, so there's plenty of open parking spaces. :-) When you check-in on Yelp, you can redeem a free donut without making a purchase; however, it's only available Mondays-Wednesdays. Though it says 1 free sample of my choice, the guy gave me a Glazed Donut (I wanted a different one for my freebie) & was trying to hurry me along (his body language was agitated) as there are customers piling in. Luckily. I previewed DD's pics earlier so I quickly ordered my 1/2 dozen: Cronut, Cinnamon Roll, Sprinkles Cake, Orange Cake, Apple-Filled Crumb, & French Cruller. No creatively decorated donuts on this Wednesday morning. M didn't have much of a breakfast so I thought the donuts could whet his appetite for lunch (& they did). The cinnamon roll was fluffy & pillow-light, & filled will cinnamon goodness; there were heavy streaks of cinnamon spice throughout the roll, & it was still mildly warm. The surprise was the Crumb Donut! :-O =) At least that was what it looked like until you take a bite, then you get a taste of this oozing apple pie-like filling. WOW! M kept begging for more so I portioned out the Apple-Filled Crumb Donut with a fruit & veggie smoothie for his lunch; it helped him drink/finish his lunch. ;-) I took a small bite of DD's version of a cronut (still haven't tried the real thing yet, but it'll be easier now that Chef Ansel has a L.A. location)... it was simply made, cinnamon sugar, without any filling. While it was somewhat flaky & crispy, but it was very greasy; I can't imagine if the taste & texture will hold up a few hours later. I'm a bit disappointed since the other 2 were executed well. No matter, I found my favs & will definitely be back for more since I regularly shop across the street at Sprouts. Is that a good thing or bad? Hehehe... ;-)

Ok it was my first time here and the lady who I'm guessing owns the shop was so friendly and sweet. I told her it my first time and she gave me an extra free doughnut. They are fresh and delicious. This breakfast sandwhich was also made quickly and super tasty for price.

Why only one side though? Boba was bad, they ran water over it really fast. Drink was okay
    Adrienne D.

Subpar. The customer service is terrible! The guy who's always there isn't friendly and always seems to be annoyed. He will sometimes ignore your questions which I find odd. The Thai tea is watery and the boba comes out of a container from the fridge. They run water over it really quickly and put it in your drink. Yes it's as bad as it sounds. I wasn't expecting boba shop quality but I wasn't expecting that either. The taro smoothie was okay but I've had better. The donuts are pretty average. I've had the ham and cheese croissant and it was alright. The croissant could be better. I've had a few other donuts but they're nothing to remember. This place would get 3 stars for average donuts but the customer service brings it down a star. I don't shop where I feel like my business isn't valued. Next!

If you're tired of the same ol' glutenous donuts that make you feel very fat, full and/or unhealthy, you need to come down to Donut Den! Today, I finally tried it for the first time and damn...it's GREAT! The difference between this donut place and every other local and Winchell's donut places around here is the fact that these donuts are so un-greasy, it's like you're biting into a toasted hawaiian bread dough style donut or something. That's how toasty and smooth these donuts are! They are as fluffy as the inside of a croissant! Seriously, if you've been to Korea or Europe and have tasted the DUNKIN DONUTS in any of those places, that is what I compare Den's Donuts to when it comes to the quality and taste! TIP: Don't be surprised if this place is "closed" all of a sudden, it has weird schedules, but at least it's near Redondo Beach and a Ross!? Trust me, if you want a really great alternative donut to Krispy Kreme, Winchell's and your regular local donut shops, Donut Den is the perfect place to hit up!

During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95

I originally planned on getting just two or three donuts, but I ended up leaving with a whole bag because everything looked so good! These aren't your average donuts..they're creative, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Even hours later, or even the next day, they still taste amazing. A few seconds in the microwave or air fryer makes them taste almost fresh again. There were so many donuts that my partner ended up sharing them with his coworkers, and they were a huge hit. It was nice knowing more people got to try them, especially since they all live nearby while we don't. Anyone I know who lives in that area will definitely be getting my recommendation. We stopped by today around 3:30PM and received quick service :) they were just bringing out some fresh doughnuts so we were able to get them super fresh! We got to try some new seasonal flavors as well as some classics. Chocolate Celebration Ring - this is a new daily flavor I believe, and I quite enjoy it! The doughnut itself is very pillowy and not dense at all like their other ones. Very different, but a good different. It reminds me of the type of doughnut you'd get at a mom n pop, which is a huge plus for me. The chocolate frosting surprisingly wasn't super sweet. Def would get again. Potato Chip Streusel - this was...interesting haha. The potato chips add a nice salty flavor to the chocolate donut itself. I wouldn't get it again, but worth a try if you're an adventurous person. Celebration Cake - one of my absolute favs. I love that they use almond flour so it has a nice nutty taste. It is very much cake like and dense, but it hits the spot every time. Highly recommend! Old-fashioned - also a great classic! It has a great mix of cinnamon and nutmeg and isn't too overly sweet. Banana Bread Latte - we got to try this and I LOVED it. It was very banana-y and I loved the touch of walnuts added in. Out of all the banana flavored coffee I've had, this was the best. Just a note, cold foam is extra, but so worth it imo! And for this reason, restaurants should be extra careful). I was given a plain ham and cheese croissant, not Jalepeño, which I personally don't care for. Extremely disappointing considering how much I love this item. To add insult to injury, the pastry I received implies, in my opinion, that the employee who made it does not care about their job--The croissant had two tiny, bunched up and hard pieces of ham, just on one side of the croissant, and no cheese inside. It was extremely bland, not what I ordered, and absolutely not worth any amount of money. I threw it away after one bite. I will be purchasing from Randy's munch less often because after this experience, I no longer trust their standards and I won't always have the opportunity to quality check my order. I've noticed some people complaining about the credit card processing fee, but personally, I think supporting small businesses means understanding the realities of running one. Places like this aren't giant chains with massive corporate margins, they're LOCAL spots that have been serving the community for years and doing it well. If a small processing fee helps them continue making great food, and staying afloat in an increasingly expensive market, that feels like a fair trade-off to me. I'd much rather support a family-run shop like this than see places with real character disappear. If you don't like the fee, you can simply pay with cash next time.

The ordering process caught me off guard because I usually like taking my time looking through all the pastries at bakeries. Since everything was behind the counter, I felt a little rushed with people waiting behind me. They have so many options that it can be a bit overwhelming. I also had to stop myself from ordering too much since I'm trying to cut back on carbs. Here's what I ordered: Hot Dog Bun - 4/5: Tasty with a soft, fluffy bun. I just wish it had a little more of that cheesy crust on top. Ham and Cheese Croissant - 3/5: My boyfriend ordered this and thought it was just okay. It was a little small for the price. Strawberry Cream Croissant - 5/5: They're known for this, and now I understand why. The pastry was light and flaky, the strawberries were sweet, and the custard was rich without being overly sweet. Spam Roll Onigiri - 4/5: I loved the egg, and it was really flavorful. It was served a bit cold, though. I think it would taste even better if it were kept under a heat lamp. Raisin Bun - 5/5: So soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of raisins. It was also a great value--six buns for only $4.20. Hot Vanilla Latte - 4/5: Strong with just a light sweetness. It was really good, but I think it could have been a little creamier. The prices were reasonable. I spent about $26 for everything, which I thought was a great deal. Customer service was excellent. Even though there was a line behind me, the staff never made me feel rushed while I decided what I wanted. The barista was especially friendly and even checked in afterward to ask if I liked my latte. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely come again.
