I tried a Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Philly called Miss Saigon. They have a decked out interior and open late at night too. They also have a karaoke room in the back. I got their lunch special which includes 2 mini banh mi, a small pho, and a drink. I got lemongrass pork for the banh mi, beef pho, and fresh ginger beer. The pork was cooked pretty well but I wasn't a fan of the bread. It's not toasty and flaky like a normal Vietnamese baguette. They also use a butter aioli instead of the traditional sauces, which isn't bad, but kinda reminds me of a spicy mayo. The pho was decent, they gave me more meat than I thought they would. Broth was just ok. I wasn't really a fan of the ginger beer either. My dad got the bò né and my brother got a short rib pho. I also tried the Thai tea and spicy limeade. The Thai tea was more in the milky side, I did like the limeade though. My ginger beer was actually more "spicy" than the limeade.

Delicious food and cute spot to hang out! Our waiter was kind and attentive. We're from out of town and would highly recommend this to anyone passing through!

Miss Saigon has a lot of really good gems on the menu and an extensive drink menu. Although the restaurant is definitely pricey for what you get, I didn't leave feeling like I could have gotten similar dishes for half the price on Washington Ave. Out of everything I tried, the oxtail pho and spring rolls were the only dishes that seemed like more straight forward Vietnamese dishes, but even with the pho, the oxtail really made my night because of how tender and delicious it was. The crab fried rice was also fantastic as well as the braised pork belly bao. The quality of service was a little quirky, as if the waiter had hired his friends as waitstaff, but it added to the experience. Our waiter was very fun and friendly. This is a great option, especially for a late night dinner, as it stays open much later on weekdays than most restaurants in Center City. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu!

This place is so fantastic I'm so glad we came here on a whim. The drinks were delicious and the bao was amazing. If we can do it, we are going to come again tomorrow (it is that good). The staff were so nice and everything came out perfectly in a timely manner. Please come eat here you will love it. It's beautiful!

Great food options the spicy cucumbers were delicious so glad we ordered some. The veggie pho came with fried tofu perfect texture I did have to request more broth and it was loaded with crisp fresh veggies and noodles. Cute decor and very nice upbeat music which made for a nostalgic mood with the song selections. The staff was attentive and they honored the military discount even thanked me for my service. Would definitely recommend!

We came here for their happy hour and dined at the bar. It was pretty busy for a Thursday night, it looked like they had some type of networking event at the bar in the back. Decorations were nice and they played good music, overall a good vibe. We ordered their banh khot, mini banh mi with lemon grass chicken, thit nuong, pork belly baos, and cha gio. Pricing was super reasonable at $7 a dish. The food came out very fast and everything was fresh. I'm Vietnamese and thought everything tasted very authentic, my favorite was the banh khot. We also ordered the Viet 75, Hello Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, and the ube espresso martini. We loved the Viet 75 and the coconut flan was a great way to end the evening. Our server at the bar was attentive and made great drinks. Looking forward to trying their oysters and pho next time!

I am from Southern California where we have the best Vietnamese food anywhere so my standards are super high. Food: 5/5 We got their skewers, banh kok, and fries. The skewers were pretty good! The chicken one was super delicious and came with really good dipping sauce. The banh kok was really good and great with wrapped with her pickled veggies and lettuce. The fries were crispy and came with a turmeric dipping sauce. Drinks: 5/5 We ordered a few Vietnamese inspired drinks. They tasted good, especially the Hello Ha Noi. It tasted like a tikki drink and was pretty strong. Service: 5/5 The servers were really nice and we got seated pretty quickly. The food came out relatively quick and so did the drinks. Price: 3/5 Our bill came out to about $200 and we only got appetizers and drinks. The drinks and food were good but the portions were pretty small. There is also a 20% automatic gratuity charge, an 8% tax, and a 3% credit card service fee. If we ordered $100 bill, it would automatically charge $31 for just fees, which is a little ridiculous. For these prices, I definitely do not think it is worth it. Ambiance: 4/5 This place has a modern artsy take to traditional Vietnamese cuisine. We got seated upstairs in one of the tables right next to another party. I don't know if this is normal for Philadelphia because of space constraints, but our table was arms distance from the table right next to us. I could overhear their entire conversation.

Beautiful decor and great service! All the food was good, but I agree with other reviews that it is a bit overpriced for what you get. I definitely want to return to try out the happy hour and smaller bites!

Do you find yourself looking for happy hour on Sunday like we were yesterday? Then come here! They have two! Regular happy hour and late night happy hour! Our group ordered up more than a few dishes but my daughter and I split the oysters. Delicious, huge and fresh. The cocktails were delicious and Eric the bartender is a star here. I'm not kidding. If you land at this bar and he happens to be taking care of you, you will leave very happy! Bonus that this place is on the quiet side with the most lovely decor. Our group all agreed that we will be returning. So many times!

Upscale Vietnamese food that still tastes traditional. From the outside the vibe looks romantic. But they walked us to possibly the worst table in the back upstairs by the bar haha. You can't win all the time i guess. The menu is not really clear or descriptive but the server was very helpful. The pho can be ordered in two sizes despite showing only the cheaper price. I got fries that said fish sauce but I didn't really taste any fish sauce. The pho was veryyyy tasty but the beef was tough (toooo chewy!). the bo ne I got was very flavorful too! It's not on the menu online but they said it was a brunch favorite that made it to the dinner menu recently. I drank an imported can of Vietnamese pale ale, solid flavor and not too hoppy. The table next to us got sparklers for their birthday event. They have automatic gratuity plus a 3% charge for credit card. The math looked like the charge was on top of tip. So Its a little pricey but feels like the norm for the area.

Absolutely beautiful location! The food was very tasty, we chose to have our dishes family style- we ordered the skewers, bani mi sandwiches, pickled cucumbers, and pork belly bao. Our waitress was very kind and also added additional portions so each person in our party could try each dish. The mocktails and cocktails were very delicious, although mildly pricey. Overall I highly recommend this location and definitely think it's worth it for happy hour. Also if available bring cash to pay as there is a 3% credit card fee.

Ended up having Miss Saigon twice while in town for a conference. Once was take out to eat super gross in my hotel room. The next was dine in with friends. The staff are really excellent, they were very kind and welcoming. Service was very good. The ambiance is also super cute, very Instagramable if you're into that kind of thing. I had the mini bahn mi sandwiches with tofu and they were really tasty. I also had the summer rolls which do need some work. They were a large portion but had almost no flavor.

I made a reservation online on OpenTable. We arrived earlier than our reservation slot so we were able to walk around and take pics. Unfortunately on the night we went it was super cloudy and had been raining so the views weren't nearly as good as they could have been. There's a grand staircase that walks down into an even bigger and more open area. Up first, was a $9 hot chocolate and a $23 Bluecoat (Dirty Martini with blue cheese olives). The martini was perfect, exactly how I like it with tiny slivers of ice shards. Second, I had a $30 Gold Espresso Martini with vodka. It was also perfect. Probably the prettiest espresso martini I've ever been served. The leaf design in your drink is pretty sweet. Tons of dates here, anniversaries, vacationers, and people super dressed up. Most certainly look your best if you decide to come. Next time I'm in Philly, I'll certainly be back!
