If you are craving succulent smoke meats, this is NOT the place for you. This place isn't BBQ, it's over cooked fast food. I gave this place two tries, I'm done. Brisket - brisket is supposed to be slices. What I got was a pile of overcooked dry brisket with little to no bark. What bark was present was salty jello. Ribs - ribs don't fall off the bone unless they are overcooked. I ordered STL style and got dry, chewy, and fall off the bone greasy grossness. Sausage - it's like rubber on the outside, but okay on the inside. Waaaay overcooked. Slaw - what a gooey mess. The slaw was rubber, the sauce was watery and way too sweet with not enough sour. This was either leftovers or prepped incorrectly. Beans - it's like oatmeal. Disgusting. Beans are mush and prepared Boston style, not Texas style. Fries - soggy, no flavor except oil Salmon - this was actually pretty good. Get this if you must eat here during the zombie apocalypse. Cornbread - use sour cream, not shortening. They got the flavor right for Texas style, but the consistency was like pancake batter. That's all I tried. Don't plan on trying anything else because it's probably like all of their other meats - overcooked. Definitely not Texas BBQ. I was expecting Coopers BBQ (Fort Worth) with the simple Texas spices that Texas BBQ is known for. How this place is a chain is beyond me. There is no way that anyone who knows BBQ will find this place appetizing. Either the employees have no idea what they are doing, or the recipes are just that bad. They need to adjust temperatures and/or times. For example, I saw a cook scraping the top of the bark off of the brisket. That should never be done if cooked right. Even if you are breaking down the brisket for sandwiches (horrible idea btw), leave the bark on. So disappointed. I was really looking forward to having a BBQ joint near my house. Nice selection of BBQ sauces too. Service is friendly and place has a nice vibe. As a former Texan, I'm always on the lookout for good BBQ. Not nearly enough choices available around here, but this place just opened and we've already visited twice. We were not disappointed in the least. We've gotten the platter the first time and the sandwiches the second time. The platters included brisket on one and ribs on the other. In both cases the meat was perfectly smoked and as tender as can be. We got 2 sides with each, and they were all absolutely delicious. There are nice chunks of meat in both the green beans and baked beans and lots of flavor too. The cole slaw is exactly the way we like it, shredded, not chopped. But the star of the show is the cheesy baked potato casserole. It's chock full of all the best that a baked potato has to offer. We bought an extra pint of that the second time around. Our sandwiches were some of the best we've ever had. There was so much meat in my chopped brisket that it literally kept falling out of the bun as I ate. The flavor of the meat was rich and satisfying. We tried the mac and cheese this time around and it was one of the creamiest cheesiest versions I've ever had. Another important note is about the bun. Somehow, despite it being a to-go order, the bun never got soggy at all, and it was extremely fresh. They have a wide variety of sauces, each with very distinctive flavors. we just left the Lancaster PA location and were very dissapointed by the serving sizes. I got the two meat option and my boyfriend got the three meat option. When we got our food, I had less than a fifth of a tray of each meat stuffed into each corner. My boyfriend also got less than a fourth of a tray of food. We were under the assumption from reviews that portions were generous, but instead we both left hungry. For $11 and $18, we expect to be able to leave full!! We wanted to love mission, but we just cannot if we're going to leave hungry every time. read more

The food was OK but not what I am used to. The ribs were too soft no body to them. Had fries & coleslaw nothing special.

Very nice lady in the restaurant cleaning tables and was very informative sorry I can't remember her name .the food came up fast after ordering and was very comfortable with some national guard and police officers were eating there with us. Surprised us when at moon the national anthem came up what patriots. Made you proud to be an American when we sang and faced the flag. Way to go guys! read more

I had mission bbq cater my wedding and it was THE worst experience. the food that we did get was good but they forgot all of the cold food(cole slaw, potato salad, cornbread and rolls). all we had was 3 meats and mac n cheese. when we called them to get a refund they said we'll get one for everything that was missed. a few days go by and we don't hear anything. we end up having to call them like 5 different times to figure this out. we paid 1400 dollars in total and they only refunded us $322. this is unacceptable considering they forgot HALF of our food and are refunding less than a fourth of our total price. read more

Avoid at all costs. Went there for lunch with a bud 2 weeks ago. Was really looking forward to it, as I'm an avid griller/smoker and self admitted foodie. Wanted to try the brisket, the Holy Grail of BBQ. Got the "juicy" brisket ("it has the fat"), and I figured, hey, I'm all about fat. Nope, it was a dry, gray and nasty. And just as I put the first forkful of extremely salty meat in my mouth, I was directed to stand at attention to pledge allegiance to a video monitor of our flag. WTH?? Then I noticed the decor. Heavy on military, law enforcement and first responders. Over the top. I noticed department patches of departments that I worked with. Sorry, but I was LEO for 32 years, and I just felt that these folks were just making a buck on my service. Oh, and our flag flies in our front yard 24/7. The one star is for the staff. read more

I had mission bbq cater my wedding for August 19th. Everything was good the whole planning process with them. The day of the wedding when it was picked up and delivered to the reception we realized they didn't give any of our cold sides. We got the 3 meats and the mac and cheese but we didn't get the potato salad, cole slaw , dinner rolls or cornbread and we had 100 people to feed & it's definitely not all that we paid for. My father-in-law called when we realized and complained about not getting the food , they said I would receive a refund for everything we didn't get + extra. They also said I should receive a call within the next couple of days. Almost 2 weeks go past and I didn't hear anything. So I decided it was time for me to call them myself to see what was going on with the issue. The managers were great & very understanding and apologetic. I had to call almost 3 times and each time I called I talked to a different manager, which was very confusing,. I was going to give them 1 star but at least the food we did get was good. read more
