Our family had such a wonderful experience here from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and immediately felt taken care of. The restaurant was spotless, the atmosphere was inviting, and our food came out fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The true highlight of our visit, though, was our server, Nia. After spending the entire day at an amusement park, our two young boys were completely exhausted and starting to get a little restless. As any parent knows, that can make dining out stressful--but Nia turned what could have been a difficult dinner into such an enjoyable experience. She was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding with our children. She made sure their food came out quickly, interacted with them in such a sweet way when their moods started to shift, and never once made us feel like we were inconveniencing anyone. Instead, she made us feel welcomed and comfortable, and that meant more to us than she probably realizes. Exceptional service like hers is something you don't come across every day. Nia truly went above and beyond, and because of her, we'll absolutely be back. I know it's a chain restaurant and I've never been here before but the meal was not too bad. A colleague and I grabbed a quick bite to eat both of us in the mood for steak. They start you out with a bag of peanuts. I guess you can shell them and throw the shelves on the floor, but we didn't. They quickly come with rolls with honey cinnamon butter. The rolls were meh but the honey cinnamon butter was outstanding. They'll bring you more if you want, we chose not to. I got the New York strip, prepared, medium, and of all the side choices they had, I went with the corn and the rice peel off. The bill came out at a pretty quick clip. It was hot. The steak was tender a little juicy overall pretty good. The corn was hot and outstanding. The rice was decent or what you would expect from a restaurant like this. We got here on a Saturday evening, one hour before closing. There was still a lot of customers and we waited 5 min. Customer service was good. The service was okay. The waitress returned to check on us. All orders was correct. We ordered rib eye, ribs, NY strip and sirloin with medium cook. It came out medium rare but we didn't say anything because it is close to their closing. Meat was overall chewy, and ribs were dry. Mac and cheese has no taste. Fries are bland. The price was not worth it. My family expected better food from this restaurant since it is a steakhouse and the steak wasn't good. Two stars are for the ambient. We ordered the full-size back ribs, which were just okay for us -- way too much BBQ sauce, and the meat was a bit on the dry side. My husband also ordered a steak (something like a T-bone), and he didn't finish it either. It was pretty average. The portions for both mains and sides are huge. We had corn, sweet potato, green beans, and fresh veggies. * The green beans were surprisingly delicious -- cooked with bits of meat and super flavorful. * The fresh veggies (broccoli + carrots) were simple but very fresh; Ada actually finished the whole plate. * And the bread rolls were the star of the meal -- warm, soft, slightly sweet, and amazing with the honey butter. The drinks are also very large and very sweet. My sangria came in a huge glass and was on the sweet side -- definitely fits the classic heavy-sweet BBQ vibe. Best kept secret at Texas Roadhouse is their early dine menu! Only $11.99 for an entree and two sides plus FREE bread rolls served with the most magnificent whipped honey-cinnamon butter. Early dine is available Monday thru Thursday, from open to 430 or 5, depending on the market. Early dine menu includes about 10 options including 3 salads, chicken, beef and pork dishes. My favorite of the homemade sides include baked potato w/a crispy, salty crust, fresh steamed broccoli, homemade chili, Mac and cheese, applesauce, buttery corn or a salad... their ranch is homemade, too!!! And tasted amazing!!! The salads are super yummy with chopped tomatoes, onions, cucumber, croutons and hard boiled egg. My favorite early dine plate is the herb crusted chicken served with a roasted lemon wedge w/chili and house salad as my sides! Amazing and a decent choice if you're watching calories. OMG that bread. You won't be disappointed the moment you sit down! The chili was a solid 8.5/10 sadly didn't have crackers but it was bussin. Salad was just good. But the bread... yet again again must I add. I thought my grandma was cooking in back. The steak was sensational I pulled out my food critic scale to make sure it was 8 Oz. It was in fact verified 8 Oz. The grilled shrimp were average size I kinda like them jumbo. Tina our waitress went above and beyond. She was very attentive and never let me down . If you ever get blessed to have her serve you tell her Food C says Hi! She totally recognized me as the most certified food critic in the area and didn't disappoint. 5 Stars! Food was so tasty, service was on point! We came up for the outlets and stopped on the way to grub. We got on the wait list before we even got there and were about 3 behind on the wait list. The wait wasn't too bad and we were seated. As soon as we sat down the waitress brought us rolls and butter and took our drink order. She came back at a decent time, which to me is a surprise cause the place was so crowded and I was dreading the worse when it comes to the service. But to my surprise, she was amazing! Wish I could remember her name though. We had a party of 5 with 2 kids and they brought the kids food out first which I like, so they wouldn't squirm and get into anything waiting so long. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had at Texas Roadhouse. The server was extremely unprofessional, rushing us to pay before we were even done eating and speaking with a very sassy attitude. To make things worse, a busser stared at us the entire time, gave dirty looks, and falsely accused us of taking her picture. The server then threatened that we would be asked to leave, which was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. I took my girlfriend out to eat and it was pretty crowded. The wait wasn't too long. The waitress was nice. The food came out fresh especially the steak. The steak was so good for how inexpensive it was. If could order a 50 ounce steak I would. It was extravagant. There was nothing to complain about except for the nasty fake gooey onion. One part was well done, the center was almost medium and the other side was medium. My wife ordered the prime rib MEDIUM. She got a medium well done DRY piece. Not sure if the cook was sleepy, "out to lunch" or a green horn. They need to step up their game because there is 0 excuse for this poor performance!! This restaurant is one of our go to places with our kids and this specific location did not disappoint. We went here after being at Dutch Wonderland for the day and were glad we did. We went early around 5 which i'm glad we did because by the time we were leaving a little after 6 this place got quite busy even though it was a Tuesday. We had our first visit to a Texas Roadhouse (Ephrata, PA) this past Sunday (5/18) for two birthdays in our family. While the food was good (not great), the visit was subpar and questionable. Notable observations: 1) Very loud and noisy, especially for those who are hearing impaired and require hearing aids, 2) Too many pictures of Willie Nelson, especially the close up of his face on our table, 3) Asked for a medium rare steak and got medium/medium well: good taste but dry and chewy; eventually had to moisten it by drowning it in steak sauce (TR knock off of A1), 4) No real accommodation for the elderly and/or handicapped: my mother-in-law uses a walker, but there was no place nearby to stow it; so they had to take it away (to somewhere); thankfully they brought it back to us before we left, 5) Our table, though it sat six, was too small to accommodate all the dishes, glasses, plates, peanuts can, et al: we actually had push the stuff to the end or place things on the bench seats just eat comfortably, and finally, 6) They charged me $1.99 for "Ziosk Premium Content" which I believe was the tabletop thing I used to pay the bill. Which is only what I used it for! That was a fake/cheat charge, an unnecessary theft of a customer's money. Final grade: C- read more
