Adore this place! Great, friendly staff. Excellent, tasty, high quality food! We travel from North Haven just to enjoy the food. Well worth the drive!

I've been wanting to try this place since I saw someone do a food review on Nutella wings. While I'm not feeling that adventurous, I did want to try the PB&J wings. They have a very easy online, ordering process (and they offer coupons) that allows you to customize your food as you desire. So a sandwich was ordered as well as an order of wings. I usually like to do takeout and on Fridays, so this seemed like the perfect option. The sandwich was ready upon my arrival, but the wings took a little bit longer. But a very short wait. They have a few tables and chairs and a vast menu. A very casual spot located within a convenience store that has a gas station as well. A one stop shop! As I waited for my wings to finish, I saw that they also had a nice assortment of desserts. It's the weekend, why not? I saw an Oreo cake slice, a pistachio cake slice that caught my interest, tiramisu and cheesecake. I wound up getting the cheesecake with cherries. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice. He asked me if I preferred blue cheese or another type of dipping sauce for my wings. I accepted the blue cheese, although I had no intention on dipping peanut butter and jelly wings, in blue cheese lol. It also came with a few pieces of celery. The sandwich was standard, I believe the original size is a 12 inch sub, but I ordered the 8 inch sub which reduced the price. They also had an assortment of other types of bread. Salads as well. I'm so glad that I selected the smaller option because after eating five wings, I was getting full (they're a good size). I'm glad that I was feeling adventurous and tried them, but personally, I would not order them again. They weren't bad, they were seasoned very lightly outside of the PB&J. To the point that I had to find something in my fridge to bring a little more flavor. The jelly on them was very light and the peanut butter didn't taste like it was sweetened. That may be a plus for some. I would absolutely order their wings again though- in a different flavor. I can't speak to the cheesecake, it looks pretty good. The few bites that I had of the sandwich were tasty. Very satisfied. It's on the Post Road, inside of a gas station, ample parking. Very accessible. I would love to try one of their salads or possibly even breakfast one day.

Came here on a whim so excited for a new breakfast spot by my job! The bacon egg n cheese was great and a fair price. The everything bagel was fresh. Will definitely be stopping in to check out more. Service was quick too I waited less than 5 minutes.

This place dispells all myths that you can't eat well at a gas station! I'm glad I took the chance to eat from here... I really wanted a sandwhich that day. Not a grinder or sub, nothing on a hard roll, but an actual sandwich on real bread. Sunrise gave me exactly what I wanted. I was leary on going into a gas station for food, but this is Sunrise is situated inside of the same building, but on the side and having nothing to do with the gas station part. Customer service was great! Guy behind the counter was very friendly. I ordered the Turkey (triple decker) Club. So I left, came back, paid, and thought why is this higher than the menu price. I was upset and then when I got home, realized that the guy gave me a sandwhich with fries( even tho I didn't order fries) and that's why it was $3.00 more. But I'm not mad at them, the wedges (fries) were amazing and went well with the sandwich. The sandwich was amazing too. Just what I wanted and everything fresh... I also typically stay away from larger menus, but seeing how things were done I'm confident in their food. I loved that someone was freshly preparing what I ordered. It took 10 minutes but understandably fresh food takes time to cook and prep. It's just information to have patience since so many people are used to "fast food" "You ate at the gas station???" Is literally everybody's response lol. I mean I'm not about to go on a gas station tour or anything like that with my food snobbish self, but Sunrise Deli is definitely on point and the exception. I'll def be going back

Food is great. Service even better! I Always come here when I don't know what I want to eat because they have many options that are all really good.

Came here on a whim, because the Brueggers Bagels was out of bagels, eggs and didn't have the ability to cook hot food. This place is a Deli / diner express connected to a gas station. But like another reviewer had mentioned the Deli has nothing to do with the gas station. When you come in it's off to the left the service was excellent. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast burrito with home fries inside, and a hash brown on the side. It was delicious cooked very well and the taste was excellent. All the ingredients were the right amount and it was all correct. Inside it doesn't look like much but they are churning good quality food. There was an issue with being charged for someone else's large order and the bacon was a little salty and a little chewy, but other than that. They corrected the billing issues quickly. It was $10.70 with tax. Worth it. A1 service and food. Would highly recommend this place and I would come back.

No pictures because I ate it all lol. Once again this place did not disappoint, I got my chicken walnut cranberry salad and chicken empanadas, on my visit to CT, It was delicious hearty and packed with flavor. This is my go to salad place. The gentleman who took my order was polite and attentive. It seems this the place to be, as it seems the guys behind the counter new some folks who entered as regulars. Once again don't let the gas station front fool you. I'll be back when I am in town again.. See preview review for pics

After dropping off my laptop, I got in my car and drove towards the Raising Cane's in Milford. Upon arriving towards the business the street to even enter into Raising Cane's is a hassle. It's a very busy intersection if you end up missing the turn on the main road. Upon entering this business, I was greeted by a young lady at the register and she was already very friendly, I gave my order and I went to go fill up my cup that I got with my "The Box" Combo. After that I sat down and waited for my food, It was a couple minutes but one of the workers was sweeping around the store so I sparked a conversation with them saying that I used to work fast food so I completely understand that they are just trying to keep the place nice and clean as the worker told me prior that she whipped everything down which I enjoyed. After that I was called up but my food wasn't there, so I just waited at the counter and the young lady that was on the register apologized to me about the inconvenience and I basically nodded and understood and let her know it's alright. As im waiting for my food to be given to me, I notice how the kitchen moves, the communication is a little lack luster which is unfortunate because I remember going to a Raising Cane's in Pennsylvania and the communication was on fire in that place. I feel like im giving them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened up recently in Milford. I was given my food and I went to sit down. Fries were cooked very well and crunchy for crinkle cut, which I enjoyed, a little salty but it was good when I dipped it in the signature Cane's sauce (Listen, hands down, best sauce out there). The texas toast was delicious as always and the chicken was decently cooked, one of which was a little hard to chew, but I had 3 good pieces which I couldn't complain about. Overall, I give this place a go around again and I will be returning when I come back to receive my laptop. Whoever actually had time to read this whole review, please please give this place a try, I know they just opened but just remember Connecticut never had a Raising Cane's so enjoy it while its there, the good reviews will potentially make Raising Cane's build more places around Connecticut, so try them out! -AJ

Growing up in a home with three sisters, Voll had several years experience of working in the kitchen as well as her parents' food establishments. After graduating with a degree in finance, Voll came up with an idea to open her own eatery. After some experimentation with her sisters in their parents' kitchen, it was decided that Voll's comfort food eatery would be exclusively dedicated to macaroni & cheese: a dish that most people have grown up with. The first Mac N' Out opened up at the Interstate 95 Northbound service center in Darien, with a standalone location opening in Milford the following month. The menu features at least 20 varieties of macaroni & cheese (from traditional to Mediterranean to Mexican) as well as "mac munchies", "mac wraps" and "Mac salads". Following the success of the first two locations, a take-out only location opened in Bridgeport in 2015. As of 2026, only the Milford location is still operating. I recently visited Mac N' Out with my younger son while we were in the area. It just so happens that my younger son's favorite food is Mac & cheese, so he was delighted to have lunch at an eatery that exclusively serves the classic comfort dish. We were so overwhelmed by all of the different toppings and flavor varieties. My son ordered the kid's portion of "Grandma's Mac" (white cheddar & American cheese), which came with apple slices and juice. I ended up ordering the "Fourth of July Mac" (Hummel Beef Franks, applewood bacon & cheddar cheese). This combo was very nostalgic for me, as my mother frequently made Mac & cheese with cut up Hummel hot dogs for me when I was a little boy. Both dishes were served to us still simmering in miniature cast iron skillets. The mac & cheese is very hot when it comes to you, but it's so delicious! I paired up my dish with a bottle of Foxon Park White Birch Beer. My son and I had a great experience at Mac N' Out and we would love to return to the future. There are so many more combos that we need to try!

Trying to stay safe and basic, ordered the plain macaroni and cheese, so I can get a baseline. I also ordered a fountain drink. With the tip it was $15 and change. I took a seat after filling up my fountain drink, and waited about 10 minutes for the mac & cheese As I'm waiting for my order, a Scooby Doo cartoon is playing on the not needed television in my left ear. From my right ear, I'm listening to the staff worker in the kitchen singing to what sounds like Italian music. Could've been Spanish music. A little bit disturbing, as the music and the worker were both quite loud Within 10 minutes, my order arrives. The cast-iron pan with the macaroni and cheese in it, a couple of napkins, and a fork. Now I may be old school, or maybe I'm missing something. Why can't this restaurant serve the food with a plate and a spoon for serving out of the cast-iron pan? I'm getting older. I'm not in college or high school anymore eating food out of a cast-iron pan. I actually like to sit down and enjoy a plated meal, whether at home or out paying good money. The only exception I could see would be grinders. But I want a plate here! And if you're gonna serve it in a cast-iron pan, I want a spoon. I was expecting a flashback to the awful mac & cheese I had last time I was here. Instead, I got a very creamy cheesy sauce and an almost al dente elbow macaroni. The serving was generous in the small cast-iron pan. I did find myself using salt and pepper, as I didn't taste any seasoning at all other than the breadcrumbs on top that I mixed in, with this order So I'm gonna stand with four stars, even though I almost want to give it another three. Thank you to the gracious server, without you, it would've been back to three stars. In closing, I drove an hour and almost 20 minutes down to retry this place. I went out of my way..... For future reference, for in door dining guests, it really would be nice to serve plates with the mac & cheese, and the cast-iron pan and maybe over a pot holder. A serving spoon is a must if you're gonna share this dish with somebody. Anybody older than college age will appreciate the plate or bowl to enjoy this meal from... trust me
