I love how the company regularly gives back to the community and celebrates those who serve our country. I ordered a smoked turkey sandwich with coleslaw and fries. The smoked turkey was fresh and moist. It is the best that I have had in a very long time. It came with a white sauce that taste great and complimented the turkey. I also tried the grilled shrimp, ribs,brisket, Mac & cheese and baked beans. It was all delicious!! The mission bbq on Semoron is top notch. The food quality, flavor, and portions are large and affordable. The brisket was mouth watering and cooked to perfection. Running errands and being down the street a little ways, I decided to try Mission BBQ for the first time. Whenever I have driven by here, the parking lot is always full. Especially on the weekend. Keep in mind, parking is shared with another eatery. Seems like there are a lot of hungry people driving around on Semoran Boulevard. Seeing some empty parking spaces, I decided to pull in, park it, and give it a try. Glad I did! I have not had a great pulled pork sandwich in awhile. I looked at the menu posted above the counter area to see what Mission BBQ has to offer. By the way, any turkey platters are not available due to supply/shortage. But pulled pork is available, and a pulled pork sandwich it was. Sandwich platters are 1XL or 2XL. One side or two sides. I picked French fries and cold slaw. I was given my beverage cup, and my wait was not long. Pepsi products are the beverages here, and any lids, straws, and other condiments are located across the beverage station in a tool box. Open the drawer if you need a lid or a sugar packet. Tim Taylor would love it. My pulled pork sandwich was piled high, and they did not skimp on the French fries, being a generous portion. My sandwich was delicious. If you want ketchup for your fries, it is at the tool box. A six pack of hot sauce is available at every table. Along with a roll of paper towels. I picked the Gator Bites BBQ sauce. A rather sweet, tangy BBQ sauce. An employee told me that there is a hot BBQ sauce at the counter available on request, the Baja Bold. I am trying that on my next visit. Which will be soon. My lunch was fantastic. And the service was fast and friendly. All of the employees were helpful. The service counter area and dining area was kept clean, and the walls are decorated with memorabilia honoring military veterans and first responders. If I have some time on my next visit, I would like to take the time and look around. Patio seating out front is also available. I will most likely return another time for lunch. I was blown away with this amazing BBQ place right next to the Airport. Mission BBQ recognizes all active duty military and veterans. There is a Veteran VIP club you can sign up for where veterans can get 6 sandwiches including dessert for free a year. This week was Armed Forces Week and today they recognized all Air Force Personnel. I decided to get the Memphis Style Chopped Brisket Sandwich with potato salad and the best Peach Cobbler I ever had. What made it very special was there were Air Force personnel in their uniform handing out promotional items. I would like to recognize especially a very hard working individual, Jasmine. The best Brisket and potatoes I've ever had. The owners treated us like family. I felt a little spoiled. They were very friendly. The atmosphere is respecting the veterans, police, and firefighters. The owners explained they are proud to serve the community by feeding veterans and service workers. We had the opportunity to try all of the sides. We loved the potatoes, Mac and cheese, and blueberry cobbler. We were the first customers of the day, so the food was the perfect time of freshness. You think to yourself, wow they really support the military, until you ask for a military discount and the answer is no. The prices are much higher then 4 Rivers BBQ. The quality of food and service at 4 Rivers is better. If you are wondering, yes, 4 River BBQ always support active military, and Veterans with a 10% discount. read more

This place is the real deal. I have dined here on 5 separate occasions so I feel I have a great grasp on the overall sentiment. Food: The food is the best BBQ in town. Everything comes out perfect everytime. The most brisket melts in your mouth weather it is on a sandwich or by itself. The sides I have tried are the cheesy potatoes (photo) the mac and cheese and the fries. My biggest pet peeve is when an eatery dedicates resources to make the entrees delicious but slacks big time on the sides. Mission bbq is not one of those places rest assured! The entrees and the sides are both top shelf! Friendliness- The staff is super caring and extremely polite. I sometimes feel I'm at a chick fil a the way I'm treated in here and it's a good thing. Sucks to go to a place to eat where you tell everyone there hates their job. What prompted this review is that Today I was eating alone outside enjoying the weather when I realized I forgot napkins. A minute later an employee by the name of matt came outside and introduced himself and asked if I needed napkins or sauce. He helped me out with a smile and was just an all around genuine person. The coleslaw was crispy and the baked beans savory. The service was impeccable and prompt. Friendly and courteous. Gosh...I really want to love this place. They honor our precious first responders. They are very generous on birthdays and holidays. But I have to be honest. The brisket isn't up to par. From the greeting when we walked in, to the explanation of the menu and ordering. The folks walking the dining area were great at answering questions and were passionate about their job. I was a little disappointed by some of the reviews on here, but to each their own. If you're easily offended by patriotism, have a strong sense of social entitlement, are emotionally fragile, and are not able to think for yourself beyond your phone screen, then yeah you're probably not going to like this place. If you are an appreciative, freedom-loving patriot, regardless of race, creed, or political affiliation, who's not easily offended by opposing opinions and who especially loves good BBQ, then you've come to the right place. The atmosphere is great. The servers are hospitable and take great care of their customers. I was sitting near three police officers on their lunch break (who were each of different ethnicities btw) and the server (who was of an ethnic minority) thanked them for their service to their community as she passed by. I observed people from all different walks of life inside enjoying their meals during my visit. I have the opportunity to try food from all over North America, and the food here was really good. It's certainly not the best BBQ I've had but it was pretty close. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would. I have never eaten here before, so I ordered the three meat sampler just to try a little bit of everything. I had their lean brisket, turkey, and jalapeño-cheese sausage with green beans, baked beans, and corn bread on the side. It was more than enough food. The lean brisket was very good and only the slightest bit dry, but that's to be expected since it was lean and not the normal cut. No complaints there. The turkey was juicy, full of flavor, and not dry at all. I'm a big fan of BBQ turkey, so bonus points on this one for nailing it! The sausage was okay. It didn't quite have the jalapeño flavor and kick that I had hoped for (after all, I am from Texas and love jalapeños) but it was good and I would order it again. The sides were pretty standard for the most part, but tasty nonetheless. The cornbread wasn't the absolute best I've ever had (that title belongs to a fish place called "Cock of the Walk" in Jackson, MS) but it was moist, flavorful, and incredibly good. During a time in our society when most restaurant workers would rather stay home and collect a taxpayer-funded check rather than get a job and further themselves, please don't hesitate to support a hard-working, freedom-loving business that serves and appreciates those that serve in our communities and military. Overall, the food was really good, the service was excellent, and I look forward to dining here again the next time my job brings me to Orlando. read more

We came here for the first time and wow, we were so impressed with the service. Upon seeing us looking at the menu looking confused, a staff member Rob came over and gave us an introduction of the menu. It was such a kind gesture. The food came shortly after and everything tasted so good. Loved the different types of bbq sauces too. We ordered a full rack of ribs, lean brisket, a side of baked beans and a Mac and cheese for my daughter.
