The food was absolutely amazing, I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and it was divine, I loved the homemade sauces (had one recommended by Jen and jazz, my servers, that was honey based. Perfect for fries) my servers were extremely sweet, not forced sweet, but they actually loved there job. Mission BBQ has without a doubt among the best food and service of any restaurant I've been to in the last 20 years. The BBQ is top notch whether you're talking about ribs, pulled pork or brisket. The 7 different BBQ sauces represent a variety of great flavors. And the sides are solid. I've been to the Parma location about a dozen times now and have never had bad service. The employees are friendly and helpful. They are well trained, very nice and seem to love their jobs. If any of them have ever had a bad they sure don't show it at work. The restaurant concept is fantastic. The respect and appreciation for first responders and military is outstanding. Five days earlier, manager Jamie struck up a conversation, thanked me for my service and provided a complimentary dessert. It was unexpected and not necessary. But, it was much appreciated. Today, on September 11, 2019 the restaurant offered a free sandwich to first responders. Once again I was thanked for my service, given a commemorative 9/11 pin and desert. It's nice to know you are appreciated, in a public service occupation, were the thanks often are few and far between. BEST.BBQ.EVER I'm telling you. This place.. is amazing. They have the best BBQ I have had in a while. Their pricing, morals, vibe - everything, is on point. Their staff members are extremely one of a kind.. the service is impeccable. Everyone is super friendly & will continue to check on you during your visit. I especially love a place that supports the USA, military, police, firefighters, emts, etc. The entire establishment is decorated with patches, photos & memorabilia to remember the fallen. They're great local supporters. They have six different BBQ sauces at the tables. Along with a vinegar sauce. There's a mustard & also a mayo available if you ask for it. I've tried them all.. if you're like me & cant pick a favorite.. you can buy the sauces to take home with you. When choosing some of their meats, you can pick moist or lean. Which, to me.. is the best. It's all about personal preference. My favorite main dish is the grilled shrimp. On top of that, my favorite side dish is their baked beans with brisket. Came in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Food came right up and there was no wait. Ordered the chopped brisket, a baby back rib bone, smoked corn on the cob, and baked beans. Overall, the meet was good. Tender as could be. The only issue I take with them is the slight smoke flavor. Not enough smoke. In talking with one of the cooks, I learned, for example, that the ribs were both for about 90 minutes, and then wrapped in foil to finish. That explains the white smoke flavor and the overall Inverness of the rib. I also made an ordering mistake by asking for the chopped brisket. I assumed since there was a brisket sandwich on the menu, that this would've been a plate of meat. It was more like a sloppy Joe, where the brisket was marinated and one of their sauces. It was still good, but not what I expected. The same guy that explained to me how the ribs were cooked, went back into the kitchen and brought me out two slices of brisket as I expected. That was very kind of him, and the meat was really tender. However, like the ribs, it did not have the strong smoke flavor that I like. Regarding the BBQ sauces, they have a really nice variety with 7 to choose from. One tastes like Open Pit (not a big fan) and one was laced with Old Bay (thought I was at a clam bake- good on seafood, horrible on meat.). The sides were OK, but nothing to get excited about. What a great concept restaurant and executed really well! Brought a large group of co-workers here on a recent weekday (first time for all of us), and we all walked away full and extremely impressed! Mission BBQ is one of the newer fast-casual style restaurants that cater to the growing love of 'Que. With smokers clearly evident right behind the service counters, these guys are trying to do it the right way and infuse all their meats with the goodness of fire and smoke. Before you order they will allow you a sample of any meat you choose...might be good for those thinking about lean or fatty brisket for example. I decided to go with a two-meat platter and added a single spare rib (on the side) to give them a try. Platter also came with two sides and cornbread, although I sampled other sides as well. The pulled pork and (moist) brisket were both tender and juicy with good, subtle smoke flavor. The spare rib was way too soft and fall-off-the-bone for my liking...the only real disappointment in the whole meal. There are six sauce choices...my favorites were the "KC Classic", "Memphis Belle" and "Smoky Mountain" versions. Sides sampled were fries (crispy and perfect), mac-n-cheese (gooey and slightly tangy, bitey cheese) and beans (sweet at first, then a peppery kick). Cornbread was on the dry side, but good flavor especially when butter was added. Plenty of regular and sweet tea to drink. The lines were nearly out the door and the seating area (with some long, communal tables, booths, etc.) was bustling and lively. We will most certainly be back! read more

I placed my order; 3 ribs and lean brisket, collard greens and fries. My order was served up within a few minutes, actually faster than I had expected. The brisket was a little dry but I did order the lean, that's on me. But the three ribs were tiny! More like rib tips and they were kinda fatty. I could have finished all of them in 3 bites. The collards were good and the fries appeared to be fresh cut and prepared to order. No complaints. One of the servers brought around a sample of the smoked chicken and it was delicious. Good portions, fair price, BBQ sauces and paper towels at every booth and table. Military, Police, and Firemen decor populate the walls. There's a huge black Mission BBQ food truck parked in the lot that looks pretty cool. Sucks about it being in downtown Parma, but what can you do? Delicious! There is not a side dish that I tried that was not delicious! And the different kind of sauces they have for the meats. On more than one occasion I have asked for a sample of all the sauces and they have provided. Great customer service! The workers are kind, patient and friendly. They explain the options well and give free examples! The meatloaf oh my it was the most delicious I have ever had! They change up the sides frequently to give you chances to try different ones. On one particular occasion we ate there and they came around to give us sample dishes of their food! Definitely felt like trying more! So good!! So very good! This was my first time here and it will not be my last. I informed the cashier that I was a first timer, and she enthusiastically offered to help me decide. The manager on duty came over and explained the food prep process and let me know that the mac was prepared in house several times a day. He mentioned the freshness concept as well. He asked my preference for sauce and gave me 3 samples to take home. All were superb. I ordered a smoked turkey sandwich and mac and cheese as my side. My only regret is not ordering more. My workplace ordered Mission BBQ for a luncheon and it was delicious! I don't live near this restaurant so the odds of me trying were pretty slim but I'm so glad we had them cater our lunch! I enjoyed trying the different BBQ sauces and was glad we had pork, chicken and brisket to sample too. The baked beans were yummy. The other sides looked good, but I have a dairy allergy so I couldn't try the mac & cheese or green beans with bacon (wasn't sure if it was cooked with butter). Had my second helping of Mission BBQ for dinner this evening. There was a fundraiser supporting Parma Police in which 100% of proceeds went to the police. That is a very generous offering! When I got home, the food smelled awesome and tasted even better. My favorite item was the brisket, which I ordered fatty and didn't regret one bit. I think fatty brisket is better than lean, as a general rule. The brisket was amazing. It had a great taste, texture, and smokiness. Coupled with Mission's homemade smoky mountain BBQ sauce, the brisket was killer! The ribs were a little on the dry and salty side, but were good with sauce on them. Mission offers six BBQ sauces with various influences from around the country, but the smoky mountain was hands down my favorite. So good! I can't wait to try all the menu items! We loved dining here yesterday. The food was sooo good and the service was impeccable. The manager (I presume) was so nice. He brought us free samples, asked us if we wanted our drinks refilled, and told us that everything is made from scratch in house. That's so important to me because that means I'm getting food with no preservatives and not loaded with salt. I'll be back. Absolutely delicious!! The food is just okay for the price. The serving sizes are pretty small compared to other local bbq places but they have a variety of sides and different sauce options at the table. The pulled pork and brisket were pretty good in flavor but the brisket was 80% fat. The Mac and cheese was really good and the green beans tasted canned but not bad. They have really good customer service and were really quick with the food which is always nice. The restaurant theme is really cool and there was plenty to look at. It's really family friendly but be prepared to spend a decent amount. We got a 2 meat combo with a side and drink plus a brisket sandwich with a side and drink and it totaled to almost $55 after tip. There wasn't enough food for leftovers which you'd hope for after spending that much. read more
