Absolutely some of the best BBQ in the area. Friendly service Restaurant kept clean Food served quickly Good quality Food for the price. Here's my take on the food, keeping in mind everyone's, preferences and taste are different. I've have had BBQ throughout the USA having lived and traveled all over this country. My take on Missions BBQ, the food that I love and crave. Here are my thoughts on some of the items I have tried. First off I'd like to say, what I like best, is that meat is seasoned and cooked/smoked with out any sauces on the meat, making the meat the star of the dish. Starting off with the sliced brisket, you can get either fatty or lean, it is well seasoned with a smoky crust, followed by a beautiful pink smoke ring which encapsulate the soft juicy, pull apart tender beef, a true winner and example how BBQ brisket should be. 5 out 5 for me. The pulled pork is moist and juicy with bits of the smoky seasoned crust mixed in giving it a 5 out 5 for me too. Both smoked link sausages, the Jalapeño cheddar and The Classic #41 are truly delicious with a nice snap from the outer casing when you bite into these well made sausages. Again 5 out 5 for me. The Half chicken like the other meats, is seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection, being hot, moist and juicy inside with just a hint of smoke to it. For me I would have like a bit more of that natural smoke kiss to the meat. Still a good choice though, a 4 out of 5 from me. I have also tried both the baby back and spare rib, both to me being very similar slightly smoky, fall off the bone ribs. For me I like to have a little more of a crusty bark on the outside of my ribs along with a little bit of a chew or pull from the bone vs these that just fall away from the bone with out any resistance. There again that's just my preferences. 3-1/2 out of 5 for me and probably 5 out 5 for someone else. I have also had the pulled chicken, again like the other meats, it was juicy, not dry at all, with just a hint of smoke, very good but, not my first choice against these other great meat choices. There are six main BBQ sauces to pick from with a few other options if you don't care for these main six. My two favorites being the Bay-B-Que (with Old Bay seasoning) and Texas Twang (with Worcestershire sauce) great on beef for me. All the sides that I have had, have been extremely, well made and tasty. So far my favorites are cheesy potatoes and the baked beans a BBQ staple. The baked beans have the positive flavor and aroma of sitting right next to a smoky camp fire. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Mission BBQ! My fiancé and I are getting married in January and we decided to try out Mission BBQ for our reception lunch. The first time we stopped in without an appointment they kindly greeted us with complimentary drinks and an employee took time to sit down with us and discuss our catering options. We then set up a second appointment for a tasting! We just got done with that second visit and we are impressed!! I'm very happy with the incredible customer service that we received. Bethany took care of us and served the food for our tasting and made the process very easy. She was so great! Now the food... The food was amazing!!!! There's something for everyone in the menu, from pulled meats to sliced options, ranger from lean tougher meats (definitely not dry though) to soft moist meats and everything extremely flavorful. The sides were all appropriate temperatures (hot being hot and cold being refreshingly cold) and there was a nice variety too! Something for everyone. I can tell you! This is my go-to barbecue spot! It's a nice drive from where we live but when we want barbecue this is where we go! Everything they offer here and I mean everything is full of flavor! The ribs are tender and flavorful. I've tried the baby back and the spare ribs and they are both amazing.. The beef brisket is the absolute best I've had, flavorful and juicy and you can request it either dry or wet. The turkey breast is good, and the sausage links are the best! The macaroni and cheese is the best I've had and I've been to many barbecue restaurants, soul food restaurants and backyard BBQs and this Mac and cheese will have you coming back for seconds! The baked beans and green beans are on point as well. She took a ton of time with my family and to explain the menu. She didn't get mad I asked tons of questions and she asked if I wanted to taste things to make sure they were to my liking. Hell, my youngest dropped the lid to her cup on the floor....and she insisted on giving her a new one. Now THAT is customer service. I LOVE the fact this company supports our veterans and first responders. Thank you all for your unwavering service to this great nation! I was even told by the manager they would be honored to display any memorabilia​ anyone in my family who served may have. That makes me so proud to support this business! The establishment was super clean. From the open kitchen to the counters to the drink area and the tables. The floors were spotless, the tables weren't greasy or sticky (the BBQ bottles either) and everything was fully stocked. The bathrooms were also clean as well. Onto the AMAZING FOOD! Sweet baby Jesus....of all things righteous and holy on this earth....the brisket was OUT OF THIS WORLD! If you can make my picky 10-year-old​ moan with happiness, you know you have done something right. It was tender, moist, juicy, flavorful and just plain amazing. That brisket didn't need ANYTHING. The pulled pork and pulled chicken were equally as fantastic. The smokey flavor was there, but not overpowering, the meat wasn't charred at all and it wasn't a pile of fatty meat. The green beans were spicy and delish! I love the onions and bacon inside. The collard green were slap yo momma tasty. A good kick to them and I loved the chunks of tomatoes! I must admit, I tend to judge BBQ joints based off of three main factors: 1. The meat. Tender? Juicy? Not too fatty? 2. The sauce selection. I want multiple flavors and also at least a few spicy choices. 3. The potato salad. Because, well, my blood type may be mayonnaise. Mission is a very patriotic place that loves to serve veterans of our armed forces and every other hungry citizen. They have all sorts of AMAZING smoked meats (like 12+ hours smoked) such as pulled chicken, turkey, pulled pork, brisket, occasionally steak, and even seafood choices like salmon. They are all to die for. These brilliant people know the art of smoking foods and I for one, salute them in their efforts. On this particular carry out visit, my boy opted for the chicken and pulled pork with a side of fries. She preferred the regular barbecue sauce. The banana pudding tasted great, but had too much whipped cream. It should be called banana flavored whipped cream. Great food & great service always. First of all, the staff is just wonderful, always greet you when you walk in & stop by to check in during the meal. Everyday at noon they ask everyone to stand to say the national anthem, pretty cool. I have had the turkey, pulled chicken, pulled pork & brisket (my favorite) & all are very tasty! As for sides, the mac& cheese is hands down the best side selection. I've heard great things about the brownies & monthly dessert specials but have never tried. If I could give Mission BBQ more than 5 stars, I would. This is my first time at a real BBQ place and I was not disappointed. From the cashiers to the cooks, it was an A + experience. Also, any place that makes an effort to hire veterans gets extra credit in my book. The cashier was so nice. She asked if either me or my beau had been there before and when I said that I had not, she immediately asked if I had anything in mind I wanted to try and explained how everything is made fresh and not frozen. I tried a little bit of the turkey and let me tell you, it was delicious just on its own. I decided on the meat sampler with the brisket, the pulled pork, and the turkey. I also got Mac and Cheese and baked beans for a side. It was ready to go almost as soon as we found a table and even the gentleman calling out orders was hospitable and kind. Down to the nitty gritty, this food was AMAZING! The smoky flavor of all the meats compliments the sauces they have ready at the table for you to try. By far the Texas Twang sauce was my favorite. I will for sure be going back to get myself a bottle. You can tell they make the sauces right in the restaurant. It had to be the best bbq sauce I had ever tried. The sides were delicious as well. The Mac and cheese was nice and creamy and the baked beans are nice and smoky. Food is great, service is usually good. However, wife fell in the store, tripped on there carpet. She hurt her left arm and knee, went face first into the wall. Only one employee offered her assistance, helped her up and went about his business. All the others kept on working even though they saw her fall. I had to get a manager to take a report! This was on Feb 25th, it is now Mar1 and we have not heard back, no apology, no followup. The manager who took the report, after I went to get him asked if we were going to the emergency. That was the last of it. Sad....least they could have done was call next day to see how she was! She was swollen on her arm and knee....She loved this place. There is literally nothing I can say that can really add to 122 reviews averaging 4.5 stars, at least not about the food. The meats are very good. The sides are outstanding. The bread/bun the sandwich was on seemed awfully basic, just a hamburger bun but I don't go to a barbecue place looking for a bakery. One really fun thing is picking your sauce. There are six options plus an infused vinegar on the table and also a mustard sauce by the condiments. Choose wisely. If you've never been there, be prepared for an extremely enthusiastic pro-military and first responders atmosphere. The photos, decorations and staff are very upfront in their support and appreciation. Each time I've been there, there have been uniformed police eating and staff always personally thanks them for doing what they do. And if you are in at noon, everything stops for the National Anthem. It's pretty great if you like that sort of thing. With drinks and a purchase of two drink cups for a law enforcement charity, lunch for two was $26. ($4 for charity). So here's the deal....I'm hard on BBQ joints because there are becoming so many in our area and I love BBQ!! I love this location for its simple, modern, and its American and veteran pride injected in just the right places and amounts. It is so apparent how supportive this business is and I cant get enough of that. I loved how unique the condiment table was and how clean and stocked the drink bar was including teas and lemonade. The staff was so friendly and offered suggestions as well. I went in on a weekday after lunch time and it was still pretty busy at the tables. I got food to go and it was so fast! As far as the food goes I was a HUGE fan of the pork, it was a good amount and was not full of fat like other very well loved establishments, thank you mission for that!!! The slaw was also very good and fresh...loved it on my slaw. The sauces were good but a little tart for me. I tried both. Unfortunately I did not dig the cornbread, I took a bite and did not eat the rest, idk maybe it was too dry? Not flavorful? Just wasn't worth the extra carbs for me. The mac and cheese was very good with the exception of large chew cheese sheets in there that weren't fun to bite into, once I removed that it was scrumptious. Good food and good atmosphere sums up the Mission BBQ! I had the two meat combo, I chose pulled pork and brisket. Sides were cole slaw, mac and cheese and baked beans. Meat had the perfect amount if smoke flavor ( I don't like it to smokey). All the sides were good, but the mac and cheese was the best of the three. Also came with a hunk of corn bread. All in all plenty of yummy food. The decor in the place was pro military and safety forces. They even have a designated parking spot for veterans. This is the one place everyone in my family can agree on for a good meal. The pulled pork is really good, but seriously, the pulled chicken is the best I've every had, hands down. Full of flavor and perfectly juicy. And you can make a meal on the sides.
