IT WAS ALL JUST TOO GOOD, SO I'M GOING TO WRITE ABOUT THE SALAD The people at the Stevensville, MT drivers license office were nice people, unlike the experiences at another office, so I decided that the town deserved the investment of a little disposable cash. So far, our Stevensville favorite is Misssion Bistro; definitely worth the drive from Missoula. The food and the service were amazing. So, instead of going into long raptures about the whole dinner, I'd like to focus on my salad. I'm not into dried cranberries or caesar salad, so I chose the third salad, "Butter Lettuce with aparagus tips, crispy pancetta and a soft boiled egg, tossed with a gorgonzola dressing." Never in all my travels have I had a soft boiled egg on my salad. Actually, it seemed more like a poached egg. But it was amazing. The whole salad was amazing. The only thing I would do differently is to have a little less of the gorgonzola dressing. The dressing should play second chair to the egg, not compete with it! But, the dressing was amazing too. As a side note, never put text, such as a menu, in all caps on your website. It makes it difficult to copy and paste. They change their menu regularly, and always deliver great food. I would tell you all about the dish they are serving tonight, but it may be different when you get here. Whatever it is... Best date night food ever! Even during the COVID-19 outbreak, we just got it to go and ate it at home. Probably my favorite meal of all time was here... it was an Apple curry dish. The brother/sister team of owners are so creative with their menu and put a lot of thought into the presentation. You will see Angie bustling around the restaurant connecting with the customers making sure everyone is happy. Eric is in the back juggling a thousand different details. Mission Bistro seems to be the best eatery in the Stevensville/Bitterroot area, and their awesome brunch (only on Sundays) should not be missed! A local friend told me that the Monte Cristo was a must-try and he was definitely right. The biscuits and gravy dish was equally as good and the fact that they give you complimentary mini cinnamon rolls before the main meal comes out is always a plus. We came for brunch on a Sunday. It was amazing. We just relocated from Phoenix, and we know good food! My husband had the monte cristo sandwich. I had the mushroom and bacon scramble. I could only eat choke down one before giving up. Companion had fish cooked to death. Pointed it out nicely to waitress who is normally fantastic and she merely shrugged her shoulders and bussed our dishes away full of food. Had a great evening at the Bistro tonight! Andrea was our server- she was informative and solicitous :-) The food was delightful and presented beautifully. There were six of us for dinner and we each ordered something different - all played were enjoyed. The Amuse-bouche was delicious and to end the evening - the decadent desserts were sumptuous. The menu had so many fantastic choices that I had a really hard time deciding, but was not disappointed- nor was my husband with our meal. We've been here for breakfast a handful of times already and the food, service and atmosphere is all great! I'm a vegan and my first time in the owner was so friendly and helpful when helping me figure out what they had that I could eat. The crab cakes were done perfect with little if any bread filler. The meat and cheese tray was perfect with cheeses you would expect from a 5 star restaurant, I might suggest a few local pear or apple slices to pair with the goat cheese on the future but fantastic nonetheless.
