Greeted by the scent and sound of sizzling beef, this hole in the wall has the BEST hamburger. A juicy beef burger that will make you salivate ...The toppings however, leave something to be desired. I ordered the classic on a bed of greens. The greens were a bed of sprouts. Don't get me wrong, I like sprouts, but for someone who generally orders their burger lettuce wrapped, this wasn't an option. Imagine crispy fries with a soft inside, the fries here are amazing. Our kids shared a grilled cheese which wasn't listed on the menu but they happily made #momwin! The gal at the register was super kind and let the kids play with their order numbers which were repurposed kids toys.

First time there. Three at best. Burger was mehhhh. Ordered well done. Got rare in the middle. Must have been a special on ketchup and mustard and they over did it. The meat had no flavor. Can't see how this place will survive. Fries were good but cold. Staff friendly. Over all meh Why did we loose Harry's when a place like this survives?

Erm. How is a burger this fantastic at this random burger spot by the beach! Welllll. They did win the 2020 best of Rhode Island award and I see why! This burger is juicy ( no matter how you order it, mine was well done and couldn't BELIEVE how juicy it still was), the perfect portion size and the meat flavor is just phenomenal. I want to go on and on like I'm Anthony bourdain or Guy Fieri on triple D and talk about flavor profiles and such but talk is cheap. I went, I ate and am still talking about this burger. One of the best if not the best burgers I've had ( literally right up there with Guy Fieri's burger joint restaurant ) Cute little parking lot right out front. We snagged a spot no problem. The young kids taking our order were professional, friendly and checked on us as we sat and ate. We ate inside, and again no problems ( they also have outdoor seating)

The star here is the burger. A solid 4 burger joint with accommodating (not overly friendly) staff, and the ambiance is chill and casual. Limited seating indoors but some additional seating outside. My family and I had been looking for our burger spot and found it! This place consistently makes a good burger. The buns are toasted, they have their own sauces (BBQ is my jam), and the meat is cooked perfectly medium every time we have gone. My kids love the burgers and hotdogs. I usually get the cheese burger with sprouts, House burger sauce and BBQ sauce. The fries are crispy just the way we like! Highly recommend this restaurant.

    Sooooo good!!

My husband's favorite food is burgers and we've tried them all over the country and this burger ranks at the top for him! We all agreed that they were awesome and their fries thick and kind of torn for more crunch We got some burgers before hitting the beach and hit it up before we left!

Came here from the reviews I've seen on blogs and such! Let me tell you...I was not trapped, and there were no lies told. I did not expect to find an amazing burger here. I had the most tender and flavorful bacon burger! One of the best I've ever had. And I love a burger!!! Please try this place and give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Really delicious burgers that are packed with fresh ingredients, flavorful sauce, and juicy (not greasy)! The fries are also fresh, thick, and crispy. Facilities are clean, customer service efficient and cordial, atmosphere was inviting/casual. It is a pricier burger that does not come with fries. And the fries themselves are $4 dollars. However, it's totally worth it. Give this place a shot!

Amazing!! Came to visit my husband and he was raving about this burger place. I wasn't sure until I took that first bite of my hotdog. Yes hotdog!! I got The classic hot dog with bacon. Bacon was crispy hotdog had a nice bite. The taste was satisfying. THE BURGER!! ( mouth watering) I got a classic well done. Burger had the perfect char on it and very tasty. Not too much meat (just perfect) or those random chewy pieces. Yes they look small but it was just the right amount. If I didn't get a hotdog I would have got two burgers. Definitely a hidden Jem!!!

    Sad ...

Where to start ... dude running the register was as aloof and apathetic as you could possibly get. Not helpful at all ... and begrudged us for asking a few questions about the menu / how to order. Secondly - ordered 3 fries ... rang us up for 4... that's $24 for FREAKIN FRENCH FRIES. Virtual receipt means waiting for text. Text came in with overcharge. Went in ... and he said , "do you want 2 baskets or not?" Turns out the basket he showed me when ordering is actually 2x orders ... just a racket man .... So $6 order of fry's (per menu) is only half basket! $100 for burgers and fries for the family is BS. This place sucks ... avoid it. When the food came it was mediocre at best ... nothing special given the premium. Bunch of "too cool" tools running a burger joint. Save your money ... and let me say this : the Tijuana Burrito is 1000% friendlier and good food for a better price - it is right around the corner.

Incredible burgers! I went here about 3 years ago and it was delicious back then as well (this is one of the reasons why I travel to Newport!) . They have changed their location and it is much larger and more comfortable. Room for social distancing and it's very accessible. Great job!!

The interior is decorated with a pretty white-and-blue motif that is definitely fitting. It's small, and not usually crowded so we typically can choose where to sit. It's become our favorite spot to go on the weekends, over places like Atlantic grill or aquidneck pizza. It's just so much cozier, and it's women-owned, which I will always support! The food is delicious. The spanakopita is my favorite, its fluffy and perfectly cheesy while not being dense or greasy. The greek yogurt is so creamy and delicious, the bacon is both crunchy and juicy at the same time. My bf loves to get the different wraps because he tends to like a large breakfast. They have lots of options for breakfast and lunch. I also love the vanilla iced latte, I think they put some ice cream in it. It tastes amazing. If you're wondering about YiaYia's cafe, definitely come try it. I feel like lots of people think it's only for those staying at the Sea Breeze Inn, or haven't been for whatever reason. I hope everyone has the chance to come here, local or tourist!

Don't be afraid- it's just a short drive (10 minutes or so), and the Grille does have onsite parking. Even if there's a wait, don't let it deter you. The home cooked breakfast grub is truly worth it, and they turn tables pretty quickly, so you shouldn't be waiting for too long before you can sit in a comfy booth and dig into fluffy pancakes, perfect omelettes, and the best hash brown potatoes ever! The inside of the restaurant is casual, with surf inspired decor, chalkboards listing daily specials, and a full service bar with TVs broadcasting the latest game. Atlantic Grille is family friendly, so if you are looking for a chic girls brunch spot or something quiet and reserved, this may not be the place for you. However, if you are looking for classic breakfast fare at a good price in a fun and convivial environment, this is the place to go. I love the Western Omelette with gooey cheese, crisp ham and fresh veggies, or the Eggs Benedict, which features perfectly poached eggs (kudos to the kitchen for nailing this every time). I also enjoy the fresh fruit bowl (nothing canned or sketchy), and we always have to get a Buttermilk Pancake as an appetizer (this is the "bread course!") This is a great family owned spot you'll want to add to your Aquidneck Island adventures- especially if you want to feel like a local!

Johnny's is located within the Wyndham Hotel in Middletown RI…read more My wife and I often stay here as the hotel is excellent, however this review relates to Johnny's. As noted above we have eaten here in the past. We have dined with large as well as small groups and have always been pleased. The place is beautiful, especially in the summer. The outdoor patio bar boasts a great view of Green End Pond. A great place to grab a drink and an appetizer. We started out on the patio and returned later for dinner. Based on our sub par experience the night before (see prior review) I was committed to having a great meal. We were not disappointed. I started with the clam chowder. Delicious. Flavorful and loaded with clams. My wife opted for the lobster bisque In an effort to negate the lousy lobster bisque she had on the previous night. Mission accomplished. She described it as buttery and creamy. Essentially the perfect bisque flavor. Contained within the bisque was a tremendous chunk of delicious lobster meat . For dinner, I chose the baked stuffed shrimp. It was delicious. Cooked to perfection with delicious stuffing, rice, pilaf, and broccoli. My only complaint is that I believe there should be more than 4 shrimp at this price. My wife selected the Pasta Bolognese. A dish that she has had and several other restaurants in several states and she ranked this right at the top of the list. Plenty of beef and pork combined with a tasty Italian sauce. When in the Newport area I suggest you skip the over hyped restaurants and head to Johnny's for a delicious meal with great atmosphere.

We just had another fabulous dinner at Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant--our second time dining here…read moresince last fall, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.
