I was on a mission to find movers to move my extra large sectional into the second floor of my home. The two pieces do not fit going up my narrow stairs.. so I needed a team to move it up through my balcony. I was really stressed. I called a few moving companies. A lot of them couldn't do the job.. Then I contacted Mission Movers. I spoke with Jeremiah on the phone. He said there is a 2 hour minimum along with a few other fees. I said okay, that will be fine. The hourly rate is very competitive too! Very good and reasonable rates depending if you want 2, 3, or 4 movers for the job. He offers different payment options too and is very upfront and direct about it prior to scheduling appts. Jeremiah is very responsive! I appreciate that. We were able to text after our phone call. He sent two guys for the job. AC & Dom!! They are very experienced and you can tell they have done the job of moving couches from balconies before. I think he removed some bolts from my sliding door to create more space to bring in my sectional pieces. Didn't damage a thing in my home!! I own a brand new build home, so I was worried about damages to my new flooring and newly painted walls. My walls and floors are still perfect! They wrapped my sectional pieces with blankets and that plastic wrap thing and were very careful with my floors. Pretty much did the job and left within like, 30 mins too! Freaking awesome team. Very professional as well. I had to go to work later that night, so I'm glad they did the moving job quickly. I feel really stress-free now that this job is done. THANK YOU so much to this business. I connected with four other moving companies and finally came across mission movers while searching. From the moment I reached out the service was awesome. Jeremiah was highly communicative and very transparent about the process and pricing. He also gave plenty of advice on how to make the move as smooth as possible. The movers arrived on time and let us know when they were about 30 minutes away as well. They were very professional and, most importantly, very careful with our things. We moved an 850 square foot apartment plus a large storage unit from Irvine to the Bay Area and not a scratch on anything! They also helped us drop off some of our things at a storage unit nearby our new place for no additional charge. From start to finish, AMAZING service. I started off by requesting a quote on Yelp. Jeremiah reached out to me shortly via txt. After a brief txt we then hoped on a phone call to go over the job specifics like what exactly needs to be moved. The communication from Jeremiah throughout the whole process was prompt and professional. We actually needed to reschedule our initial move in date and Jeremiah was more than accommodating. The ease of simply txting Jeremiah about this change was great and he moved us to a day that worked well. I confirmed with Jeremiah a day before and the movers showed up exactly on time. On the day of the move, I received a call from Kyle and he notified us he was 15 minutes out which I really appreciated. Kyle soon arrived with Carey. They were not only refreshingly friendly, but quick and most importantly careful with our belongings. I took note of how they packed their truck and it was very organized as to not damage anything during transport. Moving in was as seamless as can be. My fiancé and I were very impressed on how cautious and attentive Kyle and Carey were with with our new home. The hallways and staircases for our 3 story town home were tight to move some of the bigger items which was very concerning for us, but it was no problem for them. One of the biggest help was Kyle and Carey reattached our washer and dryer and reassembled our 2 beds. I've seen a couple poor reviews on the ending price being over than the quote. Understand, they work hourly, so this added service of reattaching the washer and dryer and bed assembly adds more time. We were so glad they did that for us. Well worth the added cost. We got a 10% discount for paying in cash at the end. The whole experience was outstanding. Wow...What can I say? These guys are really really good and provided the best service possible. They were fast, hardworking, careful with packing up a king size mattress, and TV. They were so fast because they were smart about moving, which comes from experience that you can only get from moving so much. We had a 3 big metal racks, and they expertly fit them in an office, and our storage unit. I was super impressed. They were very transparent with their pricing and were worth every penny. We had A LOT of boxes and I was shocked that they moved all those boxes onto their truck while we were still packing. We decided to choose Mission Movers after reading all the reviews and calculating the overall cost of our move. We had to move from Orange County to Los Angeles so I knew the drive alone in traffic would be at least an hour. For me, this drive would make the overall cost of other moving companies (at lower rates) be around the same total. Remember most companies charge double time the commute from place 1 to place 2.. we paid for gas. Consider the quote and package carefully. Totally worth it. The team was amazing. The boys were able to pack the truck with our 3br 2 story house and fit it into our new one story place in such good time. My biggest worry were our big appliances and my eliptical machine and exercise equipment on the 2nd floor but they were able to move everything with strategy and no damage to either home. Each person on our 4 man team was kind and polite. No complaints. My hubby and didn't have to do anything during the move except give instruction on where to place things. They were so organized and precise. Communicated with each other the whole time to make sure it went smoothly. Luckily we didn't have a lot of LA traffic but they got to the second home quickly and was able to unload quickly too. Just remember to know where to place everything when you get there! Choosing a long distance mover is definitely a big decision and you have to put a lot of trust in the company you choose. We moved recently from our house in Irvine, CA to Las Cruces, NM. We looked into moving with the big guys like Allied, Bekins, etc but it was unsettling not knowing how much it would end up costing because they estimate the charge based on weight, and who knows what that will end up being. Plus, it can take a lot longer to get to the destination because they add other people's stuff to the same truck. Jeremiah at Mission Movers responded to my request for information right away and he called me to chat too for more information. Like others said in reviews, he is very thorough with instructions for a smooth moving experience and they are used to moving people to other states from CA. The guys came on a Wednesday to load up our house and it only took them a few hours. They drove the next day and met us at our new house on Friday morning. Again, it only took them a few hours to unload and they were super careful and neatly stacked all of the boxes in the rooms they went to. These guys are the REAL DEAL and will always be my "go to" movers! The company was referred to me by a 5-star moving company in our hometown who was not available the weekend we were set to move. They provided proof of insurance and clear, fair pricing. There was no signed contract or deposit, so I was a little concerned (what if they don't show up?), but my concerns were unwarranted. We could not have asked for a better moving experience. AC, Prev, MC, and Dom were a perfect team moving us out of our 2 bedroom + loft in an apartment building with an elevator and into a 3 bedroom townhouse in under 4 hours. All the guys were extremely personal and positive. I felt stressed that morning but was immediately put at ease once they arrived. They had a perfect system moving our belongings out of the unit, into the elevator, and onto the truck. I have no idea how they did this so smoothly, it was certainly second nature for them. One of them even took the time to tighten the legs of my nightstand, which was damaged in a previous move by a different, very subpar moving company. I thought that was extremely kind and really indicated his good character. I also had a great experience with Jeremiah, who scheduled the move. He answered every single one of my many questions and provided the perfect suggestions for making our move as seamless as possible. This company came out and did an evaluation so they would know how big of a truck to bring. They evaluated our belongings, then gave us a quote, $1,700. The day of the move, they sent an extra person, and they said this was, "just in case", to get the move to go faster. She was already there, and we felt obligated to have her stay, so we said OK. This cost us extra. We would have felt bad if she had to leave, but we didn't think it was right that they sent her without asking us first. The movers filled the truck to capacity, and then they said they would have to make a second trip in order to get everything. As mentioned above, the came out and did an evaluation so that they would be sure to bring the right sized truck to get it all. Yeah, that was a bust. My wife and I ended having to rent a Uhaul to get the rest of our stuff, as they wanted to charge us another $1,000 for a second trip. We ended up spending our own time, and extra money to finish our move. This was supposed to make things easier, and it didn't. Lastly, they damaged some of our things, and the property we were living in. They disassembled the banister at the stairs to get our refrigerator down easier, and they were not able to put it back properly. They left some bolts sticking out at an angle, but we didn't notice this until later, after they were gone. They removed the handles to our refrigerator, and broke one of them when they put them back on. They broke two of our cabinets at the bottom, and ripped one of our ottomans. They didn't tell us about any of this damage. In fact, they stuck the broken handle back on our refrigerator so that we wouldn't notice - deceiving. The final straw to this story is that we called Jeremiah, the person supposedly in charge, and the person with whom we communicated with to get everything arranged for our move. We told him about the broken items, and he never even apologized for what happened. He just kept trying to protect his people by making excuses for them. He told me that he would call us back the following day, but we never heard back from him. Our experience with this company is very unfortunate. They have good reviews, but when they mess up, they don't take responsibility for it, and they don't even have the courtesy to call you back when they said they will. read more

This isn't a review to leave any negative feedback on all of my experiences with the company, just 1/3 times. My first 2 times were amazing!!! The team works efficiently and super productive and professional. My third time isn't so great! They forgot my 10 feet plant and I called to see if we can work anything out since I don't have the means to load it in my car from South OC to North OC. NO call back. Then I turn on my TV after a few months and it's ruined. I didn't want to you even bother since it would be a he says she says conversation. 864 (now 865) 5 star yelp reviews really shocked me! How could that be possible?! Moving companies tend to have the same stigma as used car salesmen. So when I saw this I had to give them a call, it was almost too good to be true! First of all Mission Movers absolutely deserves 5 stars, if I could give you 6 stars I would. I try and write a lot of honest reviews and if I could highlight one place this year I would recommend more than anywhere else it would be this company. My move was a bit more complicated than most people to begin with, and on top of that it was last min. I thought I was going to have to pay a fortune and go with whatever company was available so last min. I called Jeremiah and asked him if it were possible to move in less than a week and I was so lucky he had a spot. I was moving from Orange County to Downtown San Diego December 3rd. Where my move gets complicated is, Not only was I moving my apartment but my bfs apartment across the street and stopping by my storage in oceanside to completely clear that out ( with the Harley too). It was going to be a very very long day! Movers got there on time, My house was almost all packed up, but they helped box up the remaining items, took apart the bed and.....somehow where able to get my monstrous 9 foot couch ( that couldn't be taken apart) out the door and down the 3 flight of stairs. They packed up my bfs place in no time and we were off to my storage. The storage literally only took them about 15mins to pack up....crazy fast! Everything, even the Harley ended up fitting in perfectly. Now this is where the story gets wild.... We make it down to SD sometime that evening after hitting rush hour traffic. I grab the keys we go up through the moving elevator to my new apartment. So packed in this elevator are 5 movers, me and a leasing agent......ELEVATOR GETS STUCK FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS! no AC just us chilling in this elevator super tired and wanting to be done with this move.....The guys were absolutely amazing, didn't complain at all we all kinda laughed at it, even though it absolutely sucked. We get the majority of things moved in and this is again when the story gets crazy... That damn 9 foot couch wouldn't go up the elevator, wouldn't go up the emergency exit on the left or right, wouldn't get up any of the other elevators. These guys tried so hard!!!! I mean literally we were all there until midnight or later trying to figure out how to get this couch in my house. Alas we gave up...We shoved it into a random computer room in my apartments lobby. Since then Ive called a few places and thought about having it craned up, but I think my mom would kill me if I spent thousands to crane a couch up. Today I dropped the couch off at a consignment shop instead. It was a good couch but now I understand why it was on sale. I just wanted to say thank you to all the guys that helped with this move. I will for sure use you all again when I move into my mansion or castle in the future haha but seriously. Don't go anywhere else. These guys are affordable, honest, fast, there really are no hidden fees. They give a crap about your stuff and they're just good people all around. They've ruined me when it comes to other moving companies. Ive used maybe 4 or 5 companies over the years, but I don't even really remember my experience. I will remember this one.
