We could not have asked for a better moving experience. AC, Prev, MC, and Dom were a perfect team moving us out of our 2 bedroom + loft in an apartment building with an elevator and into a 3 bedroom townhouse in under 4 hours. All the guys were extremely personal and positive. I felt stressed that morning but was immediately put at ease once they arrived. They had a perfect system moving our belongings out of the unit, into the elevator, and onto the truck. I have no idea how they did this so smoothly, it was certainly second nature for them. One of them even took the time to tighten the legs of my nightstand, which was damaged in a previous move by a different, very subpar moving company. I thought that was extremely kind and really indicated his good character. I also had a great experience with Jeremiah, who scheduled the move. He answered every single one of my many questions and provided the perfect suggestions for making our move as seamless as possible. This isn't a review to leave any negative feedback on all of my experiences with the company, just 1/3 times. My first 2 times were amazing!!! The team works efficiently and super productive and professional. My third time isn't so great! They forgot my 10 feet plant and I called to see if we can work anything out since I don't have the means to load it in my car from South OC to North OC. NO call back. Then I turn on my TV after a few months and it's ruined. I didn't want to you even bother since it would be a he says she says conversation. 864 (now 865) 5 star yelp reviews really shocked me! How could that be possible?! Moving companies tend to have the same stigma as used car salesmen. So when I saw this I had to give them a call, it was almost too good to be true! First of all Mission Movers absolutely deserves 5 stars, if I could give you 6 stars I would. I try and write a lot of honest reviews and if I could highlight one place this year I would recommend more than anywhere else it would be this company. My move was a bit more complicated than most people to begin with, and on top of that it was last min. I thought I was going to have to pay a fortune and go with whatever company was available so last min. I called Jeremiah and asked him if it were possible to move in less than a week and I was so lucky he had a spot. I was moving from Orange County to Downtown San Diego December 3rd. Where my move gets complicated is, Not only was I moving my apartment but my bfs apartment across the street and stopping by my storage in oceanside to completely clear that out ( with the Harley too). It was going to be a very very long day! Movers got there on time, My house was almost all packed up, but they helped box up the remaining items, took apart the bed and.....somehow where able to get my monstrous 9 foot couch ( that couldn't be taken apart) out the door and down the 3 flight of stairs. They packed up my bfs place in no time and we were off to my storage. The storage literally only took them about 15mins to pack up....crazy fast! Everything, even the Harley ended up fitting in perfectly. Now this is where the story gets wild.... We make it down to SD sometime that evening after hitting rush hour traffic. I grab the keys we go up through the moving elevator to my new apartment. So packed in this elevator are 5 movers, me and a leasing agent......ELEVATOR GETS STUCK FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS! no AC just us chilling in this elevator super tired and wanting to be done with this move.....The guys were absolutely amazing, didn't complain at all we all kinda laughed at it, even though it absolutely sucked. We get the majority of things moved in and this is again when the story gets crazy... That damn 9 foot couch wouldn't go up the elevator, wouldn't go up the emergency exit on the left or right, wouldn't get up any of the other elevators. These guys tried so hard!!!! I mean literally we were all there until midnight or later trying to figure out how to get this couch in my house. Alas we gave up...We shoved it into a random computer room in my apartments lobby. Since then Ive called a few places and thought about having it craned up, but I think my mom would kill me if I spent thousands to crane a couch up. Today I dropped the couch off at a consignment shop instead. It was a good couch but now I understand why it was on sale. I just wanted to say thank you to all the guys that helped with this move. I will for sure use you all again when I move into my mansion or castle in the future haha but seriously. Don't go anywhere else. These guys are affordable, honest, fast, there really are no hidden fees. They give a crap about your stuff and they're just good people all around. They've ruined me when it comes to other moving companies. Ive used maybe 4 or 5 companies over the years, but I don't even really remember my experience. I will remember this one. Do not use this company! Price ended up being way higher than they initially quoted, the crew was fighting amongst themselves, personal property went missing, and they damaged a lot of our stuff e.g. bbq, dresser, kids toys, assorted furniture, personal art, metal work table etc. In fact, months after the move, I'm still finding damage on different items. I called multiple times to file a complaint and each time I called I had to start from the beginning and there was no record in the system of my prior calls. This is our second time moving with Mission Movers. My husband and I did some research and shopped around before this move but still found Mission the one that we'd prefer for a couple of reasons (in the Irvine-Costa Mesa-Mission Viejo area). To start off, Jeremiah, the owner, is the best and the most professional in terms of communications and transparency of the moving process. The price is not necessarily the lowest (at face value), but considering there is no deposit required, such flexibility is highly appreciated for new homeowners whose closing date is a sheer contingency of so many other parties. Jerimiah had also provided practical suggestions for how to pack and prepare for your move so as to make the appointment most effective and efficient. What I loved the most is his trust for his own staff--"my guys can do it"--and they did. Tommy, Mike, and Zack are efficient, friendly, polite, and careful. They are also extremely intelligent (and this matters when it comes to logic and finding out the best method to move things from point A to B). We moved from a 3rd story unit to another 3-story unit; we presumed the move would be complicated, but this amazing team came (on time, of course), evaluated our stuff, started right away, and packed/secured everything when need be. The move was completed in the timeframe that we desired, and throughout the entire process, Tommy, Mike, and Zack had only been working at an unrealistically "fast" pace (they must be some sort of superhumans since I could barely lift my own books...) and all these stairs, along with the scorching heat, did not a second slow them down. They also attended to details well and would check in with us on a regular basis to see where things would fit, so once they left, our boxes were all in the designated location. My husband and I would love to give them a big shoutout for the fantastic job they have done, and of course, to Jaramiah who had answered all our questions so patiently and cordially. I used Mission Movers last year, and I HIGHLY recommend them. I worked with Jeremiah to get scheduled and help determine my needs. I was on a tight timeline. I had to be out of my apt by 4/8 and off to vacation early morning of 4/9!!! So my desire was to be moved in by 12-1pm, they showed up at 9 and they achieved my cut-off time! (It was moving out of an 800'ish sq foot 2bed apt with an almost minimalist footprint fyi). Jeremiah was not wrong to recommend 3 over 2 movers as it saved considerable time. I was packed very organized (rooms and boxes had color coordinated stickies), so it was easily understood by his team of movers and helped with time. The guys new how to move around obstacles and had creative, quick solutions for narrow doorways and staircase issues at both locations. Mission Movers is a whole new kind of grass-roots, anti-corporate moving company that should soon be taking over Southern California! Found them here on Yelp after calling for several other quotes. I was moving my three bedroom house with garage, shed and yard furniture for a move from LA to San Diego. Some movers didn't even want to quote on this job. I called Mission and spoke to Jeremiah. He advised that I hire 4 movers rather than 2, which made sense. Even though his quote was much less, I felt like I was in good hands. It seemed more like I was working directly with a moving consultant rather than a salesperson. I was nervous the day before the move, but Jeremiah texted back a confirmation to me. On Sunday(!) October 20, 2018 the day of the move, Taylor, Artie, Brad and Thor showed up on time and set about to work immediately. They were very polite, efficient, careful, tidy and flexible. They deftly disassembled all of my furniture and didn't lose a single screw. They carefully stretch-wrapped and used literally dozens of blankets to cover and protect my furniture and stuff. Much more protection than I would have used myself. The only mishap we experienced was that a single foot broke off a desk, but I think it's an easy fix for me. My house was going to close two days later, so we had to be 100% out. When the 26' truck was absolutely full, they were happy to temporarily move the remaining stuff into my awesome neighbor's garage. Since they charge by they hour, it wasn't really an issue. Hoping that I can talk them into doing a local San Diego move for me later this year. Hopefully, they'll have a larger truck by then, too. As they neared the end of the day, I looked in the container and was a bit concerned. And for the most part, everything came out fine although the container looked like a hot mess. Some things were damaged. The timing of my move coincided with Jeremiah being gone for several weeks, so I had a hard time getting a receipt for the move and I had a hard time getting anyone to respond to discuss how the move itself went, but today I finally talked with Jeremiah. He gave me a chance to vent, and he accepted responsibility for how the move went along with delays in communication. Ultimately, Jeremiah refunded the entire cost of my move PLUS enough for a really nice dinner out. From the minute for four guys showed up at 9 am until they finish unloading us around midnight in another state, they were still smiling with a great attitude! They had to turn around and drive four hours back. This was a VERY LONG move as well as difficult. We moved out of a trilevel which makes everything much more difficult. Plus we have two unusually heavy couches. These boys were master A+ Packers and critical thinkers. They communicated with us well, and my gosh they worked as an incredible four man team. When we offered them a case of water, they were super appreciative like it was a gift. When they got to our new destination at 9 pm we had burritos waiting for them. I knew they'd be starving. They smiled and thanked us and continued to get the load unpacked. We've moved a lot and never had a decent experience. This was the BEST we've ever had! They were beyond AMAZING!!!!! These guys were fantastic from start to finish. Prices were similar but slightly better than all the other places. They only charge 2 hour minimum. All other places were 4 hour minimum. They showed up on time. I pre-arranged for 6 movers. The more the better. They finish faster and in the end you save money as it is charged by the hour. They showed up with 7 as there was an extra person who had nothing to do. They still only charged for 6. Finished hours before I had expected. They do bring shrink wrap and moving blankets. If you want them to pack for you that is extra. All the workers worked hard. They took things apart and put things back together the right way. They did ding up my wall in two places but very minor. The paint guy is going to touch it up. Still giving them 5 stars. They were that good. I would highly recommend these guys. read more

Mission movers showed up on time within the allotted time frame ready to haul. I had a 26 foot U-Haul truck with boxes and semi-heavy furniture that needed to go both upstairs and downstairs. The three men that helped were polite, hard-working, and always asked where to put things if they were unsure. I had labeled all the boxes and color-coordinated them to match certain rooms, so they really only needed direction for the unmarked furniture. The move went smooth. Even though the guys had to work in the rain, they got a 3-bed 2-bath haul done in less than 3 hours, and even offered to help assemble some of the beds and other things. Just over three years ago, when my life was like a train wreck In slow mo, I meet Jerimaya & his crew. All I can say is that these guys are saints. The day that I had scheduled their professional services, I was in full fledged denial of reality of the move that was about to take place & was not packed. Nevertheless, they still manage to execute the move will skillful efficiency, carful wrapping, and lots of muscle. All in a matter of hours, my apartment was emptied and put into storage. Not only that - but several weeks later, they helped me change storage providers & moved it all again for me.
