I always bring my car here. They have consistently been the most thorough with cleaning it. They don't use wax though.

My car was extremely dirty before and after the deluxe hand wash (about $40) it came out very clean. I'm seeing a bunch of other reviews of people's cars that we're still dirty after the wash, but from what I imagine is that they're car was so ditty that the employees did the best they could. (If your car looks like you had three toddlers and two dogs living inside of it for two years, you can't expect a miracle for $40) Cons: The main reason I went here was to get a was since I haven't had one in years, but they don't do waxs on Sundays. Place has a car wash but it is a hand wash that has limited hours. I have never used it but I went but, got gas and while my gas was pumping realized they didn't have a drive through car wash. I was talking to the clerk about it and he was really confused, I asked if he knew of a near by drive through car wash and he was really confused. I just moved here so I was happy to find a car wash place down the street from where I live. Came here a couple times no problem. Then one time I come with some bird poop on the trunk. I get the standard wash. They say done and I walked over to see said bird poops still on the trunk. I ask the lady can you wipe those off, then the manager or supervisor comes over and says I need to get the hand wash to get the bird poop off. Wth?! The lady felt bad and started to wipe it off, literally... it wasn't much poop... but the guy starts yelling at her to stop and says I need to pay more. I was speechless. What kind of car wash tries to hustle you for more money by doing a bad job?! I get gas and a car wash once a week so they lost out on $100 a week for 3-4 years that I plan on living in the area which would be $15-$20k total that I would have spent here. DO not get your oil change here. They are an absolute ripe off. I was getting my oil change regularly since its very convenient by my house. I paid extra for synthetic oil but did not get that. They did not change my filter at all. Dont waste your money and go elsewhere for an oil change because they rip people off. read more

I have been a fan of these guys each time I bring my car in for an oil change - and this time I did the deluxe wash and everything looks great! You can't beat this quality and service for the price they charge... I paid $66 total for oil change and an awesome deluxe inside and out wash/vacuum/etc. Everyone I have come into contact with here is super nice too! The only complaint I can think of is seeing mild water spots from not completely drying the windows after the hand wash. Also, (this might be out of their control), but they didn't get the hard water spots off of the drivers side window and side view mirror that have formed from the sprinkler system hitting my car by my assigned parking spot at home. Don't go here. The sales person who greets you leaned into my car window so close i could smell the chips he was just snacking on and then took his sweet time to move further away once i told him hes too close. I left my car there for an hour and it was still covered with bird poop and waterspots when it was finished. They did not wipe the inside center console, windows were dirty and they did not vacuum out the entire car. I had to stand there for another half an hour pointing out the bird poop, water marks, and then vacuum and wipe down the mats myself. I feel dirtier leaving this place than when i came, poor service. Better off going to Go Green Car Wash at the Fashion Valley mall. The people there are friendly, professional, detail oriented, efficient, and hard working. I had my car washed and detailed there a few weeks ago. My car was ready in about an hour and it was sparkling from top to bottom. My things were even neatly folded and organized in the back. The most horrible car wash I've ever been to in my entire life. Paid for the second most expensive car wash which should include all detail inside and out as stated however -in between seats was not vacuumed, -floorboard was not vacuumed, -cupholders we're not vacuumed, -tire dressing was left wet on the vehicle and on my rims, ...and all the little details that should come along with "detailing" a car we're not done. Not to mention I waited more than 45 minutes for the service. I asked for a rag to finish detailing the car myself and got an attitude as I was taking the space up for other cars. Over-Priced, Below Average Car Wash. Just got my car washed and I got some concerns. First they try to up sell you to a hand wash in order to get off the bird shit or tree sap that should normally be included when washing a car???. Let alone the automatically hand wash your car anyways, because the mechanical car wash bay hasn't worked in years. Next they charge an extra $3 for SUV's, I can kinda understand this but since your already more expensive than all the other car washes in the area this is a bit overkill. Now to the actual wash, they do an average at best job. Still a bunch of spots left even after paying for the "handwash". No quality control whatsoever. There were greasy hand prints left on my drivers side door and window. I mean that's the 1st thing I see when I walk up to my car. Is it that hard to do a final walk around to see if you missed anything. If I could give this place a negative 10 I would! I decided to treat myself to the Gold wash, $29. Instead of getting on a ladder & cleaning the top of the car the woman was so short that she kept slapping the top of the car with a filthy black rag. She she took the same filthy rag & started wiping down the inside of my brand new car. After speaking with the cashier he went & said something to both of the workers. Turns out they do have clean rags & a ladder, they were just too damn lazy to get them. I have been here before & always tell myself not to go back to this place. Living in this area you don't have many choices so I gave it another shot. As soon as I saw the woman going towards my car I knew it was going to be bad because I had her before. I paid for a deluxe hand wash which includes cleaning my very dirty leather seats because of my dog. I get in the car and see all of the same stains just carried over. I usually have my car washed at a touchless wash on Miramar or I do the damned thing myself. But sometimes, you just don't want to spend an hour washing your car. Especially when your car's a hoopty. I finally gave in and decided to give these guys a shot. Well worth my 14.99 plus tip! The exterior was spotless, the interior was dust-free, the floors were vacuumed, the windows were crystal clear and my tires and stock covers were the cleanest they've been since they left the factory! I have only been trying it because I live up the street. I always get one of the higher services and it's like they do a quick swipe with a rag on the interior and move on. I'm really upset that I had a bad experience here. I was excited to find a place who washes my car with an oil change. Well this oil change comes with a "22 point inspection" or so it says. Earlier in the week my low coolant light had come on so I figured I would bring it in and get my oil changed and fluids topped off. My light is clearly spelled out obnoxiously on the dash "Low coolant seek maintenance" with an equally obnoxious red exclamation point on the second dash. I asked the guy if fluids get checked with the oil change, he said they do and so I trusted most places I go to automatically top off the fluids. well I get in my car and the light is still on, and the next day- still on. I look under my hood and I, being a female totally clueless about cars, can visibly see that the coolant is LOW. I have a nice car, I like to maintain it and take care of it, keep it clean. So i was really excited about this place who cleans your car with every oil change! I was recommended to them and really bummed it wasn't a good experience. So I call in and ask, if the 22 point inspection includes checking fluids and topping off. The service guys tells me they add water to the fluids, they don't actually put the fluids in. So I thought this was odd and wanted to speak to the manager. He told me some what the same thing.... well if you only add water each time.... eventually its going to be 100% water no? maybe my math is off, but that doesn't seem right. I would have been completely fine if they charged me for filling them up! Just get it done. They offered me to come in to top it off, but really.... I can add my own WATER thank you. I work until 6:30, I am not going to take time off to fix something so simple that was over looked, the whole reason I came in the first place. this is SO inconvenient. Reading some other reviews, I'm going to follow up with a potential theft from my vehicle. I saw some other people mention that in prior reviews. Got a wash here, just wanted basic quick wash. Basic runs you about $19. Noticed days later my headphone jack to plug my phone in was missing. Only other people that have been in my truck were the cleaners from this wash. I went back to ask for a refund because either it was sucked up in the vacuum or stolen. Vacuum scenario is generous at best. Probably was stolen. I went back to talk to the manager and he refused to refund my wash. He said it had been too many days since my wash and if I'd noticed the day of my wash he would have done something. Probably bullshit and if I did notice he would have said sorry pal nothing I can do. Don't support this place. Don't get your car serviced here. Don't get gas here. Thought I'd stop by to get a car wash after work on a Saturday and it's always a very busy place. The guy that greeted me asked if I wanted a hand wash. I said I'd rather get the Silver package. Of course he up-sold me saying a hand wash is better and only $3 more...it was actually $6 more -__- Waited for my car to get finished. I give this place 4-stars for the awesome car wash spot. I've never seen my car so doggie furless. Seriously. They did an awesome job on getting all of that husky dog fur out. None of the half dozen or so other car washes that I've tried even came close. Then, there's the 2-stars for the no show attendants showing up to work fail. I come to work early, so I usually like getting gas before going into the office, instead of after. Twice I've shown up and get through the motion of preparing to get gas, only to find out that the nozzels are still locked. Uh, what? Only to take a look around to see that the gas station is still closed. Oh great, the guy on duty is a no show. Lame. Overall average rating is 3-stars. I'd take this place over the gas station across the street. At least, Shell doesn't charge you a fee for using an ATM card. read more

Just picked up my car from getting detailed....it looks BRAND NEW (and is a 2006 Jeep Liberty). They paid such amazing attention to detail and didn't miss an inch! I felt like I had just bought my car all over again when I left their parking lot. I have also gotten regular hand car washes here.... and they always do an amazing job on those as well. They made sure I was completely satisfied before driving away and had me check the car to make sure everything was perfect. I will DEFINITELY be going back here for another detail in the future!!! read more

Never again. I have a small SUV so I paid $13.00 for a basic car wash, that took 45 minutes by the way. There are still water spots and smudges ALL OVER my car. My black car. Where you can see every little smudge. If I'm going to sit my butt in the hot sun for 45 minutes, it better be the best damn wash I've ever had, not the case here. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further down Friars Rd past la mirage apartments and go to Stadium Wash on mission gorge. This place is horrible. I paid $50 for a deluxe HAND car wash and my floor mats wasn't clean they didn't even vacuum UNDER the Mat. I had a car seat in the car that I unbuckled so they can vacuum behind and around it AND they didn't even do that. On top of that, they made a terrible RIP/HOLE in my mat. It looks like it was burnt and they tired to cover it up as if someone was smoking a cigarette or something while cleaning my car . I took before and after pictures of my car and with the pictures they still won't admit that they made a whole in my mat as if a ghost did it and it magically appeared. The Manger only solution is for them to re do it. Why don't you put your All into upholding what customers pay for so you won't have to do it again! That's how you keep business going. The manger had excuse for every shitting job I pointed out. Didn't even get a air fresher. My outside window wasn't even clean properly a bunch of streaks! And he said he would only give me $15 no refund. I could've did this same job for $9 dollars at a drive through car wash. PLEASE DONT COME HERE. HORRIBLE SERVICE. The wait for the car wash was one of the longest I've experienced, but the car wash was one of the best that I've had in a long time. It would have been worth the wait if it hadn't of rained a couple of days later . . . All in all, I am pleased with the quality of the car wash and they staff seemed pretty meticulous. They were able to remove all of the bird "residue" and most of the dog hair from the back seat and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be back, but only when I have an 45 min-hour to kill. read more

As I was using one of their rags to finish the job myself one of the employees stated "if you want all that off you need to get the hand wash service." No thanks. I'm good. This car wash is the closest one to my house. I have gotten my cars washed here many times. I don't have an issue with the wash. The guys do a good job cleaning the car. My issue is with the amount of time they take to clean a car. At any given point there more than 5 guys cleaning/wiping cars. Once you hand over the keys, you won't see your car for the next 45 minutes. After 45 minutes they finally bring your wet car out to the front and take another 30 minutes wiping it down or completing any additional services you asked for. Who has 2 hours to get a car wash? I came and was told it would take 35-40 Minutes for my car wash but there was only a few people ahead of me. Since I figured driving somewhere else and waiting there would be about the same time I stayed. After 35 minutes I walked to the back and saw my mini was sitting there un touched and they were using a garden hose to wash other cars. I went inside and asked for my money back and took my unwashed car out of there. There are so many better, faster and more efficient car washes I'll go to. This place won't get a dime from me. $12.99 FOR HALF A CAR WASH This car wash service charged us $12.99 for a BASIC HAND WASH (and they used a brush with a garden hose), that is not a hand wash!! They only washed HALF the vehicle unless we paid another $12.99 to do the tires, and interior wipe. The windows were so streaked up (they did not even wipe the interior), and vacuuming was half done also.... HALF DONE CAR WASH SERVICE FOR $12.99!!! unless you pay another $12.99 for the rest of your car, So the Basic Wash for a car half done - $12.99 OR $25.99 for a full car wash, and we don't believe they would do that right either! I have never had a Half of a car washed before. When we brought it their attention they made excuses and would not compensate. The management was horrible. We agree with all the other the other poor reviews We attempted to wipe down ourselves; but so much dirt was coming it was going to take a complete car wash again. Awful. Waste of money. Just got the bronze wash for $18.99 and there are still multiple spots of bird poop on the hood of the car. I called and asked what their policy is and was told since I got the basic wash they don't really scrub the car. Even a basic car wash should wash off bird poop. They also took my receipt in order to give me my car back so I have no proof I paid and want the wash re done. Was told they are going to close soon today so I can come back another day and talk to the big boss but that I'll get the same answer. Never going here again. Mission Valley Shell - Car Wash Near Me - San Diego, California

I was looking for a gas station with a drive thru car wash. Just a quick one where you pay $5 or $6. I couldn't find one like that in Mission Valley so I went here and paid $16 for the cheapest wash. I'm really glad I did. These guys were relatively fast, especially considering that had 3 or 4 cars in front of me, and the car was spotless, vacuumed up nicely, and the windows had no smudges on it. It's one of those rare times at a car wash place where I didn't mind tipping the guy afterwards. Well done! read more

I have been looking for a good car wash place that cleans, vacuums, and dries my car well with a reasonable price. I tried couple of different stores including this one on Mission Center Rd and Friars. The location is very easy to find but may not be the easiest to enter into the plaza. It doesn't have entrance on Friars so you have to make turns on the Mission Center Rd. The basic car wash includes clean, vacuum, and hand dry after wash for $12, which is reasonable price to me. I stopped by on a Sunday and the line wasn't too bad at all. Once you drop off your car, you pay the ticket in the Shell store and wait for the car to be done. Overall, the wait was okay, the car was cleaned. There are some spots that could be cleaned better but I am happy leaving the place. It's a good price, good location so I probably will be back again. read more
