Worst car wash every and VERY overpriced. They up charge you $5 for everything! I would never recommend this place to anyone. I paid $80 for a car wash with tip and it was by far the worst car wash I've ever had. I also wanted them to wipe down the inside and the guy told me they couldn't do that that was only considered a detail. I've visited this car wash a few times over the years. I live the fact it's 100 % hand wash and I would come more often if they had extended hours. They close at 3 PM daily and closed on Sundays, which isn't convenient for most people who finish work after 5 PM. It's rare to find time for a 30-minute wash before their early closing time. They offer some perks. If you wash your car a certain number of times, you'll earn a free wash of the same type. Paying in cash you get a free bottle of water. They've an open seating area where you can rest, wait, and watch your car being cleaned at the final station. The shop onsite offers snacks, beverages, car accessories, and more. They also provide change if needed for tipping. Tips are placed in a communal jar and I assume it gets divided among the staff at the end of each day. read more

This is my usual go to car wash if my Dad can't clean my car himself. Customer service is good, always friendly. They really focus on the outside of the car which is nice but often forget about the inside. I even moved the cup holders and they didn't bother to wipe them nor the screen/buttons of the car. minuscule but i guess just usually something that's included in the inside/outside wash/vacuum. other than that it's still one of the better ones in san diego General Price is about $35 but usually bring cash for tip as well. read more

I called ahead to ask about their wash method since I have ceramic coating and can't use machine washes. Instead of simply answering that it's a hand wash, the owner went on a long mansplaining rant about being the only hand wash in San Diego County. Fine. I still showed up and ordered the deluxe wash. Immediately he tried to upsell me to a mini detail, insisting the deluxe doesn't include much and repeatedly bringing up my floor mats. I declined, since I live on a dirt road. I did pay an extra five dollars for dashboard dressing. When I got my car back, the inside smelled like hot alcohol breath, which makes me think someone was drinking on the job. There were foggy streaks all over my windshield and dust still on my dashboard. Overall, beware. He talks a lot but doesn't deliver on the service. read more

I got a mini detail and I feel like I paid half the price that I would've paid anywhere else. They did an amazing job on the inside of the car. They washed all my floor mats, including a huge mat that is in my trunk of my SUV. I was so happy with the way the car came out. It looked like brand new. Definitely a return customer for life! Saw this car wash recommended on a Reddit post and decided to give it a try since my poor car got covered in tree sap and it needed a hand wash, but ya girl is on a budget. I got the Regular Wash for $27.95, which included the hand wash, interior wipe down, and vacuum. I paid an extra $20 for sap removal. My car was clean afterwards and the sap was gone! The owner is incredibly nice and they have a loyalty program that I signed up for. I like that you were able to add a tip amount onto the credit card and they give you cash to drop for the workers when you get your car. I never carry cash so this was a wonderful surprise. They have a seating area outside under a pop up tent to wait. I went around 1pm on a Friday and was on my way within 15 to 20 minutes. I was impressed with the speed and quality of the wash - had my car not been covered in sap, it would have been similar in price to other non-hand wash locations and I think it was a better result. The one thing to note is it's in an annoying area of Point Loma right before you get onto the 8 East. Apple Maps sent me on a weird adventure through alleys to get to it because I was coming into Point Loma. Next time I will definitely stop by on my way out of Point Loma after a Mysterious Galaxy or Goodwill trip. read more

Horrific pricing. EVERYTHING is an "add-on" and $5 increments. At $35 you have to "upgrade" (+$5) for the "scrub sponge" to get the "extra dirt marks on the car off".... That should be standard at $35. The manager will also pitch you on the difference between VIP and the next level ($40) by stating "we polish the dash and spend more time on the rims than usual"..... they simple wipe down the dash and they still don't full clean your rims. Also the only car wash I've been to that doesn't answer a phone and doesn't honor a rain check within 24hrs of the rain/wash timeframe. Cheap and horrible management/ownership. read more

Brian provides excellent customer service and you can get in and out of there very quickly. I highly recommend as everything is going to self-service car wash. For $38 I paid for the deluxe wash and was left with road tar, mud and dirt all on the back panels and doors. Just seemed like they wanted to get the car in and out. When I brought it to the attention of the owner they said they should have used a solvent... then I wiped it off with my index finger....if you're going to charge premium pricing you need to deliver a premium result. Up the street there's a machine wash and go. $15 and it gives a great wash. Treat water so no spots. Check it out. Otherwise you're dropping $40 on some dudes to just dry your wet car. read more

The service was good, but after the car wash I noticed there was small dents/chips in the paint on both sides of my vehicle, that was not there before. Previously, I've only been a LUV girly. But the long lines, tight parking, and 5-minite time limit on the "free vacuum" have been stressing me out. When my partner requested I get our car professionally cleaned and detailed for her bday, I checked out a bunch of places and eventually decided on Rosecrans. I called ahead to make sure they had availability for an interior detail, which includes a deluxe wash. The cashier/manager was responsive and friendly. He walked me through the ordering process and answered my questions. I like how there were many options to choose from, so you could really customize your wash, and it's all by hand. They have a loyalty program so I think I'll be treating my vehicle a little nicer from now on. It's not cheap, so I'll be washing my car less frequently, but definitely worth the splurge. read more

Updating our review. We have been using Rosecrans Car Wash for 7+ months now. We take our company Sprinter vans here. The first hand wash we received was GREAT. However, every wash thereafter needed a comment or two to fix a missed spot or vacuum the interior. It became repetitive, but I was fine with it because I prefer to work with partners and dedicate our business to one provider. After showing up a few times and being told that they didn't have the time to wash our van, I got over it. I would watch our van sit to the side while several other vehicles were taken care of. I think Rosecrans has the potential to be a GREAT business, but there is a lack of care that hinders that success. Take care of your regulars and make sure the fundamentals of a car wash are taken care of. read more

BEWARE!!!!!!! This hand car wash has got to be the worst in San Diego county! I brought my F-150 in for a deluxe wash ($40 bucks) and have to say, it came out just as dirty as it was before going in. Vaccuming, less then poor, bugs still on windshield and hood, running boards still muddy, no armoral used as promised, inside or out, no inside car scent as offered. A basic wash would have had a better outcome. I should have known better, considering there was no active business when I arrived. If your smart, you WILL NOT go here, they talk a good talk, but deliver an absolute epic fail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't deserve one star! Good ridance! read more

The owner here really cares about customers. He could tell by looking that my car wouldn't fit through the machine (it's really low) and made sure his guys hand washed it. He takes care to make sure his prices are fair too. I had water spots on a 3rd of my car and I tried everything to take care of them myself (diluted wheel acid, rubbing compound, etc). Instead of charging me their full advanced detail price, he cut it to a third to match, and I'm not convinced every place would do that. read more

This car wash was on my way to girlfriend's house for the afternoon so I picked a car wash that was in route in her Direction. Do to covid-19 the hours of operation change so I actually was the last car to be washed at 4 p.m. You do need to go down a alley in order to get to the entrance of the car wash when I got there no one said one moment will be right with you I didn't have him call anybody to come to my car door so I wasn't even sure they were open once I got there. The young woman in charge was pleasant uplifting very positive and it made me excited to give the car wash a try she offered me a card membership for multiple washes and explain the full process of how it works there all of that was thumbs up. I'm sure they were rushing just a little bit to go home over the car is washed but there were plenty of spots missed on the indoor of my car that were just basic wipe Downs as I did not request the extra shiny options on the first round. I would have had them actually finish the job of washing the wiping down the insides of the doors for the $25 +5tip I paid. I would expect them to not necessarily make the inside of the car extra shiny without paying for the feature but I would expect them to wipe down obvious dirt spots on the sides of the door panels. read more

They said that if I wanted these parts of my car cleaned, I had to pay for a mini detail. Seems pretty standard to have your cup holders and general interior surfaces cleaned, but apparently not here. This was a total rip off/waste of money. These are some of the nicest and hardest working folks in town! I don't know if it's family owned but it feels like it with the super friendly service starting with the guy who greets you and sorts out what you need! I've never had a detail but their mini detail is pretty fast and makes my car feel new- it's 16 years old so that is quite a feat! They also have a coin op dog wash that is the perfect place for a post beach bath. My dog is 90+ lbs so the time you get is plenty for most dogs. read more

We've come to the Rosecrans Car Wash twice in the past month. It's only because it's convenient that we gave them a second try. This is a compilation review of both times. We pulled up to the vacuum area where we were met by someone who described the different services since we didn't have time to read the sign before he got there. We just the mid-level wash and paid extra for a large vehicle and for the undercarriage wash. That person was quick to greet us, personable and knew the washes. He also helped us inside to pay. Drinks are $1 so a good deal while you wait. We went in to pay & look around a minute then came back out and the truck was still there. They had finished vacuuming but it hadn't been driven around yet. It gave me time to watch & take photos. It seems like they only put one car through the wash area and one in wait by the entrance door. It came our turn and they took the truck very carefully to be next. They have big windows to watch your vehicle go through the line. The first time, we noticed a person on the passenger side washing & wiping but no one on the driver's side. It goes to this sprayer that spews a pink foam. I wish that I got a picture of my husband's face when the tough white truck was covered with pink foam. Maybe it's a spray wax? Not sure why the pink. It comes to the blow dryers and then someone drives it to be hand wiped. It took just over 30 minutes the first time-this time only around 15 minutes for the whole process. Both times the driver's mirror back still had lots of bug remnants and the passenger's had a few so I asked our guy who had gone on to another vehicle and he was nice & redid them. This time the guy pulled open the mirror hard which can strip the gears since it is power folding. They should know this and they didn't need to open it to wash the back side. This time the entire bed cover was still dirty like they didn't do it at all. If you don't have brushes that reach or don't do it for the bigger vehicles, don't charge more! It's even more annoying to get it back dirty when you get charged extra. The first time, it was a decent enough job but not good enough for the price. This time it was definitely not worth the price. It's a management problem since the workers don't feel the need to do a good job. We will not be back. read more

Challenge: clean a car that has not been cleaned since lockdown 2020 (probably nov 2019 actually), and drives a beach family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids w a dog). I was a bit embarrassed to even bring it in because of the amount of dog hair and dirt alone. Customer service was top-notch and I ordered the deluxe wash thinking they'll get some of it. Boy was I wrong; my car looks completely different and has a shine I haven't seen even before Covid. Highly recommend this place.
