The flaps that wash and dry your car are pretty aggressive, so if you want touchless, this isn't the place. Also, if you're expecting that nice fruity smell from the soap coming through your vents, which acts as a mini air freshener, you won't get that here. Ide come back if I was in a pinch. read more

I won't pull any punches. This was absolutely the worst money I have ever spent on an automotive wash. I purchased the ES Platinum Package and added the clean mats option which came with the promise of a clean, shiny car. $40.29 total. The mats were reinstalled backwards. The truck looked worse than when I pulled in. The employees wiping down my vehicle just smeared the dirt around. It had white streaks all over the entire car. I walked around pointing out all the places that had been missed and the crew just wiped a little more and did nothing to make it better. I drove home, got out my detail spray and did the job myself. I will never go back. Not even for a free car wash. What would be the point if I have to rewash and polish it again myself? read more

Got my car serviced inside and out today at the Draper location. Super cute girl at the kiosk talked me into the platinum inside and out ($40) i asked her if they would vacuum my toddlers car seat and dust really well She assured me they would. I was asked to tip on the spot (prior to the service) i was hopeful that the top dollar service and a $5 tip that they would do a great job. Also worth mentioning, i drive a new Kia telluride that gets cleaned inside and out at least weekly. I got in my car and for $45 bucks i had higher expectations. They spent a total of 4 maybe 5 min on my cars interior. They were not busy. Lots of misses here. I asked the guy for his rag twice to dust missed spots. Even grabbed the vaccine and got a couple Spots myself. I was in a hurry to pick up my son and when i was putting him in his car seat i realized it had not gotten vacuumed at all. I have a monthly membership and frequent the Sandy location close to my house. I happened to be near their Draper location Saturday 6/29/24 and went in for a wash. half way through the tunnel I noticed the vertical brushes spinning way faster than normal, a swinging violently side to side, pretty sure the center column of the brush hit the side of my truck. After the wash finished I immediately informed management that their equipment is faulty, too late for me as my truck was scratched and paint chipped al along my driver side. Several chips and dings consistent with the motion of a spinning brush. Along the drivers side and tailgate. I wash my truck daily at Mr. Carwash and know for a fact that their wash caused damage to my truck at the Draper location. I will cancel my membership. I am extremely disappointed. Ok, I have a black truck. Like many it is my baby. I only use it once in a while other than those time it stays in the driveway. I take it for a weekly wash almost every week. So when I seen the scratches down the sides I knew right away where they came from. I went back the next day to Mister car wash and filled out the report. No one other than the attendant looked at my truck in person. They reviewed cameras and came to the conclusion it wasn't from their car wash. Normally I would believe in some doubt but because I know that the only place the truck went in three weeks. I know it was from their car wash. They refuse and liability. My car was scratch by this car wash. My car is an important investment. I know every inch of it and care for it daily. They told me the scratch was already there. That absolutely is not true. You know the day before Thanksgiving must be a Huge day for getting cars washed. Like everyone else, here I am at the car wash. The sun is shining, temps are warm, and I'm in line going in. They beefed up their service staff, and they now have lots of help with the prep and on the finishing side. Their equipment is well maintained, and seems to do a great job of getting my car clean. Love the scrubbing bubbles and the clean smell. On this trip I had a lot of bugs on my bumper, but the guys did a great job hand washing with their brushes. "Your truck is too muddy to be cleaned here"- Employee I went to Moab over Memorial Day weekend and took my Tundra to be washed this afternoon. I was greeted at the vacuum check-in area by an employee who was told through her earpiece that my truck was too muddy to be cleaned and would damage their scrubbing "tentacles." She recommended I take it to a gas station and pre-wash it myself and then come back. I find this ridiculous. I guess they don't offer a pre-soak, and to be honest my truck could be much dirtier (see pic). To not even offer an upcharge, which I would have paid, is crazy. This is an expensive carwash and their name is "car wash", why would they not be prepared to wash a car? I used this location for years when it was Platinum car wash but I will not be returning. I am really impressed about the level of customer service that he provided to me and again how understanding he was. I tried this location because the vacuums at my normal location have not been working. I paid extra for the staff to do an interior cleaning and exterior wipe down and was disappointed. There were still bird droppings on the back of my trunk that I had to point out and ask if it could be cleaned (this was even AFTER the wash itself) my interior had some sticky drops on the inside door and floor mat from when a soda was spilled and they had said it euphoric be taken care of. But it was not. My front seat middle arm rest/storage had been ripped (it was not before). When I have receipts or wrappers I put them in the side door. Usually when it's self serve I just empty it. I was surprised when driving away that it was still full of trash. I beginning to wonder what I paid extra for. If anything my interior is WORSE than before. Nothing seemed to be cleaned as advertised and there was damage done. Will not be going back. Very upset and disappointed. Ended up having to do it myself after I had paid someone else to do it. read more

Wish I'd read reviews first. This place was really terrible. Staffed by teenagers, no one could give me accurate information about detailing or how to make an appointment. One teenager girl told me flat out that they didn't do detailing there, and that carpet shampooing wasn't anything they offered. Fine, I went for the platinum or diamond or whatever package they had that was supposed to include a complete vacuuming, an armor-all wipe down of the dashboard, steering wheel, console, etc, and she really talked up the tire and rim shine. Price was only something like $40, so I left my vehicle and went in to wait. The exterior car wash was terrible. Five eager looking teens awaited me with cloths in hand asking if there was anything they could touch up. I could barely form words, I mean, the car wash looked like I just ran it through a freebie gas station touchless wash, you know? My car wasn't muddy, just grungy from winter, and it looked like about half the grunge was still on. Dirty drips were streaming from every crevice. The vacuum job was half-assed. There were still crumbs and dried bits of grass and tiny stones everywhere. It didn't even look like they'd moved some of the mats. I could see the areas on the dash and steering wheel where someone had swiped a wipe down cloth, leaving huge dust tracks behind. I'm sorry to say I gave the kids a tip because ughhh, that's what you do, I guess. But I shouldn't have. It was an awful job, and even pointing out what they needed to fix just earned me a couple of half-hearted swipes with their cloths. It didn't fix anything. One kid also told me that they *do* do detailing and shampooing and everything, but you need to make an appointment. So, who even knows what they offer. In short, save your money. You'll get a better car wash going through a $5 self serve location. My ten year old could have vacuumed the car better... next time I'll have him do it and pay him in ice cream and all he wants from the change tray. read more

I use both this location and the Cottonwood Heights location, and I've been very pleased with both. As I mentioned in my review for the other location, Platinum Car Wash offers a few extra perks than the other run-of-the-mill car washes, and because of that I feel it's a fairly good value. I have the monthly, unlimited package. Utah has a pretty rough climate, and because of that cars get pretty nasty. I wash my car 1-2 times per week, so for $24/month I average around $4/wash. Not bad, especially considering they hand-dry the car. Every single employee with whom I've interacted has been very kind. They're all appear to be young, hard-working, good kids. (Most look high-school age.) It's a great place. Check it out, and if you like it once, consider getting the monthly pass. read more

Purchased the Platinum interior and exterior. The job was sub standard. The interior barely cleaned (had to wipe down the entire interior when I got the vehicle home). The tires were left with visible dirt and had to ask to have redone. One mirror had folded in and was left that way - not an issue except they never wiped the glass behind the folded mirror. Lack of detail orientation...not the young employees issue...it's a training and expectation setting exercise by management. I worked for Mister Car wash for 2.5 years and have been a customer since 2012 it saddens me to see a corporate company come to Utah and Buy out great carwash chains like Fire House and Platinum Carwash and now all I get is a sub par carwash experience. It's all about speed with these guys and they could care less how a car looks as long as they get it done quickly. Not to mention their equipment doesn't work as well because they have stopped prepping cars before the wash which allows for extra dirt to cling to their brushes and damage the clear coats of the cars being washed. I got the $34 premium wash... piss poor vacuuming (seat lining as not vacuumed, floor board still had crap on them, etc), wiping off rubber mats IS NOT included in that price (seriously?!). The wipe down was very poor quality so much so that none of the inside doors were wiped, there was crumb and sticky spots still on the console. Anybody can spray soap and water on a car; it's all about the finish. And when you were acquired by Mister Car Wash, you changed the drying process. Now, instead of getting a complete and thorough dry, I get a rush job as I'm coming out of the automated wash. Your employees are undoubtedly feeling the effects of lower tips, as well. Now, you've made it impossible to even try to tip them without stopping to get out of the car. I used to tip $10, every single time I was there. Paid $30 for the exterior and interior to be cleaned. Exterior was just ran through a car wash I could have done for $5 on my own. When they told me my car was ready, they said to let them know if they needed to go over anything again. As soon as I opened the door, I could see spills down the inside of the door that hadn't been touched and a spill on the wipeable car mat.
