He recovered a small leather ottoman-like stool, and he rebuilt the cushions on a vintage mohair sofa. The sofa was miserably uncomfortable as the down cushions had lost all support, but the "bones" of the piece were good. He figured out how to rebuild the cushions w/ a solid foam core surrounded by down, particularly tricky as the cushions are not rectangular but quite curved. It totally renovated this piece of furniture, so now it's a very comfy couch and even serves as an occasional guest bed. And his price was about 1/2 of what I was quoted at the local foam shop. His work reflects true "old world craftsmanship," and he is so easy to work with!

I just finished my bathroom remodel and felt Pristine Coating really deserved and review as there has been absolutely no issues with the refinishing job at all. Now that I've got a new white bathtub installed, you literally cannot tell the difference other than that the new tub has some traction whereas the refinished tub was a little more slippery. The floor tiles have kept in reasonably good shape as well. There are some normal wear and tear from dropping things and foot traffic (adults only, no kids or pets). Originally I was not going to remodel until at least the warranty was up, and I'm sure the job would have held up just fine for another 1.5 years, but due to other circumstances I've pushed up the remodel timeline. One…read morespot was water damaged, and three other floor companies told me that if we did a spot fix for the water damaged area without refinishing the entire room, then it would be really obvious where the spot fix was. Ty was the only person who told me that he felt confident they can get a 90% match to the flooring, which was good enough for us because refinishing would have delayed when we can move into the house by. Ty was also kind enough to work over the weekend to help us meet our move-in target date. They came early and finished recarpeting about 2,100 sq ft within 6 hours. Now our floors look like they're new! I also accidentally sent them a double payment without realizing, and Ty called me the next day to let me know and quickly sent me back my money.
