This was my second visit to this location, and once again, the pizza did not disappoint. I'm a fan of super thin crust, and they nail it here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I appreciated that they placed a pitcher of water on the table so we could help ourselves, and although our waitress only came to take our order, other servers made sure our water was always topped off. We ordered The Claudio which is a simple yet flavorful cheese pizza topped with burrata stracciatella and a drizzle of truffle oil. It's served cold, but it's incredibly delicious. Towards the end of my long road trip day down the A1A, I wanted to get takeout pizza to bring to my Airbnb. After a quick browse at Eater, I spot this place. Since my hometown of Orlando was starting to get some of these chain locations, I figured I'd give it a try. So we called ahead, drove here, and picked up the pies. No opinion on the ambiance, since I didn't go inside, but the location of the shop was nice. Downtown college town vibes with some ritzy stores for shopping and a nice Publix with a fancy dancy parking garage. Service was reportedly weird. A little stiff, definitely not customer service oriented, classic Miami. But the most important part, the pizza, saved the day. We ordered two pies: the Star Beckham (Star Shaped Pizza, Filled With Ricotta Cheese, Mozzarella, Bacon, Onions, Tomatoes, Ranch Dressing And Basil) and the Coffee Paolo (Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Spicy Salami Calabrese, Gorgonzola Bleu Cheese, Natural Honey, Coffee). The Beckham was wild, man. I've never seen anything like that before. The toppings were all really well diced and piled on. Delicious. Be careful, though, the crust is pretty flimsy, it won't hold up. And I tried both methods. I saved the ricotta bomb for the end of the slice, and I tried to squeeze it out all over the slice. Both methods were solid. Just play around. The best bite for me, though, was the Paolo. Wow. Usually, I can at least try and describe why certain flavor combinations go together, but not with this guy. Not sure why it worked, but it did. spicy salami, tangy funky bleu, sweet honey, bitter coffee. All made for a wonderful bite. If you can only order one pie, order this one. Overall, this was a good little pizza joint. Even though it's a chain, it certainly showed me some things I've never seen before, and that's a rarity nowadays. I liked it. This is a super tricky review because one pizza was delicious and the other was just ok. We got pizza Maria & pizza Claudio! We absolutely loved pizza Maria! We asked for a side of balsamic vinegar and it was just the kick it needed with the prosciutto. We ate the ENTIRE PIZZA! It was fresh and crispy and thin and perfect with the toppings. Now pizza Claudio was really what we came for but it was definitely a miss. We finally got to eat here last Sunday, and it did not disappoint. We got the star beckham and the coffee paolo, i definitely recommend both! i like my pizzas with little sauce, and i LOVE cheese so this pizza checks off all the boxes. I will say it gets pretty busy on the weekends so you might be waiting for a table for quite a while. Make sure to plan ahead. This was my first time at a Mister 01 and I did like it. I'm not huge on pizza because it's not really healthy. This place makes a very think slice pizza which I did like and I haven't seen in too many places. The taste was above average but not revolutionary. They have a pizza that has coffee in it which is certainly different, that's a first for me. I also like the fact that they have 8 inch pizzas in case you really aren't that hungry. Make sure that pizza is what you want however because that's mainly whats on the menu here. Had a disappointing experience at Mister 01 in Doral. The issue started when the host, Andrea (who is also the manager), gave our table to another group without any explanation. Instead of addressing the situation properly, she never clarified what needed to be done and made no effort to apologize. When I asked to speak to the manager, she dismissively said, 'I am the manager,' with the worst attitude. Rather than taking responsibility or offering a solution, she simply called it a 'misunderstanding' without any real attempt to make it right. You want the best Mister 01 Pizza? Go to the Wynwood location, Wynwood is the real deal . You can definitely taste the difference. It's not the same, the flavor, the dough, the ingredientes, and they are super cheap on the amount of ingredients they put on pizza. Keep in mind the pizza starts at $20+ and they are not super big, people usually order 1 pizza per each. And the manager Paulina, the rudest person ever,After speaking to me rudely she left me talking alone and said she wasn't going to fight with me over a table (mind you she told me to sit there) I was in shock when the waiter told me she was the manager and the hostess Clau is as bad as her manager, literally arguing with me over a table because she wanted to sit a group of 9 that requested where I was assigned, to the point she told me Paulina did not manage the sitting chart and does not know Clau proceed to complain to Paulina , and Paulina told her just to let me sit at that table ( of course she told me to sit there). Clau was just rolling her eyes at me. That's how upset she was. They are a mess with their set up outside , it's like musical chairs. Even the waiter was embarrassed by how I was treated , for the waiter forgot her name. Absolutely terrible service at the Doral location by the female manager working the Sunday day shift who absolutely gave my wife a very bad attitude because the customer bathroom was not working. The manager raised her voice at my wife, in a condescending and antagonizing way, while she waited over 10 minutes to use the only 1 restroom available that wasn't working. Another customer complained to staff that their restroom was out of service and she tried to fix it but was unable to do so. Upon my wife asking to speak with a manager, the female worker exhibited poor tone with a raised antagonistic voice at my wife saying "I'm the manager". Regrettably a nice Sunday brunch turned sour quick. We immediately left before we even ordered. If the restaurant plans on sustaining their business, the manager needs to undergo a customer service training, otherwise, residents as ourselves in Doral, will quickly see this place is not going to succeed. We were excited about attending this place for the first time and will not be coming back and cannot recommend until customer service from management improves. read more
