I do not recommend this company at this time. The tech went thru the ceiling and promised this would be repaired at their expense they STILL have not fixed the large hole. Also after checking other companies I found that they are VERY expensive. I was charged almost $1000 for having a switch reconfigured and two new outlets installed. Granted one was thru an outside wall but this still seems excessive for two outlets and a switch. Lastly I STILL have not received an itemized invoice. I have called and texted them to send the invoice and tell me when ceiling will be fixed but they have not done either. read more

My experience with Mister Sparky in servicing an electrical problem at our home was not a positive one. First and foremost, the Tech. they sent out was less than skilled and or experienced and clearly more focused on "Up Selling" the actual job, then completing what needed to be done to repair the problem. After spending hours in attempting to diagnose the problem, he eventually narrowed down the outlet creating the short and breaker issue, however then, refused to fix the problem without recalculating the price. To say the least, we passed on his Repair Quote of $1200, however still paid $360.00 for a job unfinished. Be Very Cautious when dealing with this company, the Techs clearly are paid by commission and are more concerned on Up Selling then the actual job at hand. Needed additional lighting installed in my kitchen. Adrian was our electrician. He was professional, efficient, and helpful. He answered all of our questions and completed the job in a timely manner. They also offer a Veteran's discount. A little on the high side for pricing. But electrical work is dangerous so it's worth it to know my home is safely wired. If I can give Mister sparky a zero that's what it would be! UNFORTUNATELY I had to hit 1 star. I wasn't told that there could be a estimate fee of over $300 for trying to figure out the electrical issue plus the $59 drive out fee then of course the cost of the fix or repair on top of that. The so-called "master electrician" (OK) told me all of that before he even stepped a foot into the home! How would he even know anything without coming in and taking a look at well...anything??!!! This was the worse experience I have ever had with any type of company! He basicly said you know what, I waive the $59 trip fee you have a nice day !! LOL!! He basicly stepped out of his sparky truck closed door and stood right near it with his little clip board in hand stating his fee before he'd come in before seeing any issues! I think he probably took a total of 5 steps of that...I looked like he could get over heated very easily. ‍ Not to mention I called to speak with Manager and he didnt believe me...said he'd have to speak to the technician first and a regional mgn would contact me concerningthis issue. we had 2 bad out lets it one bed room ,i had a strock ,and could not install them. try came out too check it ,said it would cost 300 dollars to check it out ,i was not home,my wife told the man and showed him where the out let were at ,he made her pay the fee,and said if they could not fix it there was n/c.he told her we needed a whole new panel in the wall ,she new better. they were going to rip us off. for over a 1,000.00 ,we found some else and they installed the two outlets for 75.00.watch out for the mr rip off spark.us combat vet. read more

I cannot give enough praise to this company & their employees. Had an issue when my electric dryer was delivered, it required a 4 prong outlet rather than my old 3 prong outlet. Jason, the electrician from Mr Sparky,said that he would need to rewire the outlet from my panel. He did have another solution however. He could replace the 4 prong cord with a 3 prong cord. He even had the item on the truck. Problem solved, and I now am able to use my new dryer. I had signed into home improvement and they originally set me up with a Monday appt. I decided to call directly and spoke to the receptionist, Cherise, who was very kind and helpful. ( sorry if I misspelled your name). She checked and got me an on call appt for today, a Friday afternoon. I will definitely call this company again if I have electrical issues. read more

My wife called Mister Sparky after seeing their billboard ad on US 19 N. in Clearwater. We asked them to come to our home in Palm Harbor to do two straightforward jobs. One, hang two new vanity fixtures over the sinks in the master bathroom. Two, diagnose and repair an outdoor fan on our lanai. As I was not present in the room, the technician named Brett immediately figured he could rip-off my wife. His first move was to ask to see the electrical panel in the garage. After spending less than 5 minutes in our home he proceeded to write-up an estimate that included an "ultra surge protector for our electrical panel", a "micro protector for our main A/C unit" plus hanging the two fixtures and diagnosing the fan problem for a sum of $1775.00! When my wife told him we only wanted the lights hung and the fan fixed he indicated that he would install the "micro protector" and do the other work for only $1059.00. When she once again told him we were not interested in any protector he indicated that he could do the job we wanted for $557.00. I would estimate the entire job of hanging the fixtures at less than 45 minutes. As they were replacements, there were no parts or electrical work necessary. The fan diagnosis was unclear but I would guess he was just going to check to see if there was power going to the unit. This is a perfect example of another UNSCRUPULOUS CONTRACTOR who figured he could take advantage of a woman who knew nothing about electrical work. Unfortunately for this tech/company, he did not realize that I was in the other room and was familiar with this type of job. When my wife showed me his written quote, I told her to throw him out of the house which she did. Unfortunately, she paid him $59.00 for coming out to our home to RIP US OFF! I was extremely pleased from the initial phone call to my in home estimate and then to deciding to go with the best. I have medical issues which requires the immediate and constant flow of cool air. We decided on a Monday night to accept the quote and they had me scheduled for installation 2 days later on Wednesday. All the guys were prompt, great personality, polite, and like magic I had a new upgraed AC unit and attic insulation. I will stand by this company and recommend them to anyone in need of AC services. In response to yours, I only have duly licensed electricians come to my home over the years, including Duke Energy. I even call the BBB & FLA licensing & FLA Construction Authorities to check on licenses before I make any appointments, you included..."I am the devil in the details," Mr Sparky. I do my due diligence. They all have commented on the neatness & efficiency of the electrical panel & work performed & they even check ALL the outlets of my condo to ensure there are no shorts or potential problems. I also had a full electrical inspection perfomed before I purchased the condo, some yrs ago, to ensure my & my neighbors' safety. Your comment about how screwed up my electrical wiring is in my condo is self-serving and a lie since you never visited, nor performed any work in my condo, since I own it. Like most men my age, over eighty, we did most, if not all ,our home electrical needs. Its amazing I haven't been barbequed in my sleep with some of the Rube Goldberg connections I have made. Even worse, there were a lot of major code violations that were done by the do it yourself builder thirty years ago. So I invited Mr. Sparky to take a look at why I shocked myself during my last attempt to be an electrician. Patrick ,who is a Master Electrician inspected the house and pointed out how my guardian angel saved me from many potential electrical fires. He prepared a professional estimate and discussed my options. Since my irrigation pump was shut off he got the job going immediately. I had house service the same day. It was a three day job which included digging long ditches for underground cable and two men worked for hours in the pouring rain. I was very impressed with the work ethic of all three men who worked the job. They didn't waste any time getting me back up by not taking lunch and breaks. A minor glitch developed which could or could not have been the electricians error. With absolutely NO argument the company manger apologized and paid for the "damage". Shocking to find such a customer oriented attitude these days. On top of it all when they found out I was a Veteran they gave me a discount. So if you are an old Vet still doing your own electrical work; no matter how good you think your are, MR. Sparky will do it right and probably better. last week I was having a problem with my bathroom light switch.I wake up around 3am to get ready for work,and when you go to turn on a light to take a shower and the circuit pops its not good. So I used the spare bathroom to get ready for work.I knew I needed to call someone to repair it,having a bad month I remembered that I had used Mr.sparky in the past and already had their number in my circuit breaker box. When I called them they explained that I would only be charged if they did the work if I agree to use them,when the young man got here he knew what the problem was right away. I asked him to go ahead and fix the switch and also to check another one,he did. When I went to pay him,he said no,he would not take any money not even a tip...could not believe it,this has never happened to me...will I use them again? YES!! Will I recommend them?
