I was looking for a place to sit and drink while I waited for my S.O. and friend to return from shopping. Mister Toad is a hole in the wall bar that had an inviting patio under a large shading tree. It was good enough for me. There is a wide selection of can beers, local, domestic and imported. I requested for a ginger beer I was sure they would have. They did but it was non-alcoholic. I took it anyway. Not to sweet but heavy. The server was pleasant and the people were nice who sat around talking of their upcoming events. Yes, was ease dropping. It was nice to hear the pleasantries while I babied my adult drink. It had a good ambiance and vibe. If you're not a germaphobe, not too picky of your surroundings but like a good selection of beers you may want to stop in to ease drop on a few.

Have wanted to 'hop in' to Mr Toads for awhile now to experience the old English library style pub. I was not disappointed. The bartender service was quick and welcoming. Relaxing in the inside library seating area with built-in wooden chairs along the back wall was very enjoyable. The clientele were happy and chatty. Visiting in the nighttime offered the extra ambience of the twinkle lighted patio area. Definitely will return. Great date night experience!

Great customer service and a pretty nice selection of Bourbon. Mister Nearest. Inside it's like an old library nice wood furniture and in the heart of the downtown bar scene. 11 out of 10 recommend. They also have a large outdoor patio.

My favorite Old Market bar; the old England ambiance inside and intimate patio outside make every spot a great spot. I loved their banana split drink for a dessert after dinner but this has changed to a peanut butter banana drink that's still good. They also have a good selection of beers that are priced great for the area.

Lovely throw back bar. Good good drink, friendly place, and a great place to relax and unwind with a "Special Coffee"

There on a beautiful fall evening, nice outside seating and indoors as well. Enough parking during weekdays, weekends are definitely gonna be a challenge. Good English pub, run by an Irishman . The bartender is fun to interact with and good at what he does. Good collection of alcohol and some nice cocktails, no food though. Service is good, prices are reasonable. Can be a nice relaxing place for an evening cocktail or a late night drink.

Good drinks, had a few hot spiked drinks options. Good vibe. Don't have any food though. Still worth a try.

Looking out at their outdoor patio! Good people watching spot!!

Stopped in for drinks on Sunday Funday afternoon! It was easy to find a nice warm seat by a heater vent-that's sure to please the coldest person on a winter day! Our wait staff were friendly, quick to greet us & take our orders. There's a nice drink menu to choose from, which is always a plus when you want to try something different! There's a few sports TV's on & low music in the background. Very cozy place!

Interesting historic decor. Terrible to average bar wine. Decent service. No food. Dead.

We had potato skins with cheddar and bacon as an appetizer. It was tasty but not wonderful. Bookguy had fish and chips. The fish was great, very crispy and light. It was a big portion so leftovers provided dinner later. The fries were a generous size and good too. I had a patty melt on rye with a salad. The salad was pretty standard and I really liked the patty melt-- big enough to take half home and not greasy. It was rather noisy while we were there and they probably could have used another server. We enjoyed our lunch and plan to come back again.

I went with the fish and chips and was blown away by this portion size and flavor! Two HUGE cod filets accompanied by a side of fries, but I went with the onion rings as I heard they were delicious. The cod has a thick, crunchy breading around it, making it very very filling. The onion rings were very unique. Not a long onion deep fried, but small onion pieces within the breading. I've never had something like that before, but they were golden brown and amazingly crunchy. Make sure you get extra tartar sauce for this dish because you're going to need it! Service was quick and easy for a take out order. I would come back for another meal to try their other menu options and drinks. Thanks for a great first impression!

My chicken Philly was good, but it didn't have a ton of flavor. My husband said his beef Philly was amazing so I will definitely try that next time instead. I would like to go back. I will say their ranch was pretty good, which is a big deal to me! Staff was friendly and attentive. The restrooms are fairly small and I'm not sure that a wheelchair would be able to make it in there. I felt that was probably worth noting.

It was busy but my two buddies, my toddler, and I got a table right away. The server seemed flustered she came around and grabbed us adults waters but didn't acknowledge I had my toddler for a kids water or a high chair. My friend spotted the high chairs from across the room and grabbed us one. Which is completely fine just wish we were pointed in the direction. After the drink order it was a bit slow to bring drinks and take food order but again it was busy and I think she was having a tough night. I got the chicken Philly loaded with jalapeños. My buddies both got beef Phillies loaded. They had beers. I got the kids mini corn dogs for my daughter. Food came out great as usual. Piping hot. The curly fries were a hit for my toddler. Overall solid meal. Their ranch is unique and I always get one and think idk if I actually like this or not but the next time I'm there I order it again. The parking is rough but nothing they can do about it. Definitely a spot to check out in Omaha.
