The nice folks who work at MIT computers have always done right by me. I took in one of my laptops that cracked when I opened it. I bush "fixed" with duct tape until that would no longer work. They called me up to let me know that it would cost more to repair than to fix. This is the second laptop that has had the same issue. The plactic casings that hold these computers together do not hold up too well in FLorida(heat and humidity). Eventually the plastic gets more brittle and eventually cracks. Lesson learned. The gentleman who waited on me helped me fix an issue I was having with my phone not picking up my e-mails. He was extremely patient with me and eventually we got the e mail to work. He could not have been more kind,generous and professional. read more

I'm a business owner, and having my computers working well is essential. With the business policy here, I can get up to 5 computers cared for, and all I pay for is parts, never labor. The owner and employees are knowledgeable and friendly, and things are fixed fast. I want to also point out the MIT has a 4.8 rating on Google, and that Y-LP is famous for hiding good ratings and showing the bad, in an effort to strong-arm small business owners into buying their ads. (Look it up- Y lp is pretty evil, with its fake reviews and repressed- reviews). read more

Avoid at all costs, fixed my broken screen but said Touch ID and home button was impossible to fix. Later found out the actual problem was they used a knockoff screen that doesn't support Touch ID. read more

I had worst and unacceptable experience ever from one of staff and their services. their service mind is zero. they doesn't know how to fix computer. they treat your computer like trash. and just fraud your money. don't ever go there. complaining staff name: Bradyn Mitchell complaining business name: MIT computers I dropped off my laptop computer for diagnosis on 10/17. The diagnosis fee is $40 and it will be credit toward to any repairing fee. i called and visited them 3 days after their promising date. they told me it will take $300 to fix my computer. $200 for reinstalling the window and $120 for replacing DC jack. but bradyn mitchell told me that he can repair the DC jack for just $80. so i requested to just repair the DC jack. but next day he failed to repairing the DC jack. so i went there to pick it up. but my computer got a lot of scratches on top case and power was completely out of power. I was very upset because my new computer got so much more damaged then before. However Bradyn Mitchell offered me again that one other specialist who is most expert person in this field can fix my DC jack. but it will be cost $200. he can give me $100 of store credit for scratched case. basically he want to charge me more even though he damaged my computer so much. I tried so hard to talk with his boss about this issue. but i couldn't get hold of him. Bradyn Mitchell told me that with 48hours his boss will call me. I accepted his offer to fix my DC jack from another specialist on 10/23. With $100 store credit of scratch damages, the charge will be $200. however his promise didn't make it this time again. he promised me he can fix it within 2 days 10/25. he never called me until after 5 days, neither his boss 10/27. so i called him on 10/28 but he was just saying that his boss will call me tomorrow for sure 100%. and he can't do anything about it he said. not surprisingly, no one give me any feedback until 10/29. so i went back on 10/31. he was saying that he can't do anything more with my computer and just giving me back. i paid $40, didn't fix anything, just got a lot of damages, and stopped my own work over 2 weeks. read more

I upgraded to Windows 10 and MIT was so helpful in the transition. I am a member of their MIT Club and when I got home I couldn't install my printer. I called MIT and they were so patient and finally got the system to recognize the printer. I have used them on several occasions and have always been very happy with the service. So i took my iPad mini for repair since my youngest daughter dropped it and it needed a new screen. They replaced the glass, which was good but the left side of the screen wouldn't work when I arrived at home. I wasn't able to return it the next day so I returned it on the 2nd day only to be told that I did not purchase a warranty and I had to pay again for it to be serviced again. Really? I was just there 2 days ago. After taking it to another tech repair store, I was told they damaged the digitizer and LCD, so now I have to pay for these repairs. It is safe to say that I will never return to this store and I will advise anyone against it. This is horrible customer service and unacceptable for someone who spent over $100 to replace a glass. read more

DONT TAKE YOU GAMING CONSOLE!!!!! Took my PS4 up there early morning Tuesday, July 13 due to a broken HDMI port. I talk with the gentlemen and told him the issue. Paid a $40 non refundable diagnostic fee and was told it should be ready in 3 days and that they will call me before any work in case if there were problems. Waited and I never received a call. Thursday I call and I got a basic oh we are still searching to find out what's wrong with it. Which I already told them but ok said they'd call. They didn't until the next day. My options was pay $300 for a motherboard to be replaced, 2nd they'd have to send it out to try to repair it which would take weeks and cost me $180, or three find and buy a preowned PS4. I decide to pick it up. Took it elsewhere and guess what they fixed the hdmi port. Guess who's PS4 is working. Didn't get shipped out or nothing. They fixed it for $100 and didn't need a motherboard. They did their job in 3 days. This place tried to get over on me. They might be good with computers I don't know but don't take you gaming console there. read more

DON'T GO HERE! Got my iPhone screen replaced here and and a few days later it cracked just by pulling it out of my pocket. The corner of the screen was sticking out and it was clearly installed wrong. Called them to explain, owner cut me off saying "if it's broken it's out of warranty and we won't fix it". He was arguing with me saying I should have checked before I left and kept cutting me off and being rude saying it's not his problem. MIT has been servicing my computers for more than 2 years now. I have dealt with Wilfredo and Walter. Honestly, I have no complain. I find them very knowledgeable and computers got fixed each time with no further issues at the time. I am on annual contract with them and fully intend to renew it at the end of the end of this month. read more

I can't believe that companies like MIT Computers can still be in business with how horrible they were at fixing my iPad and their customer service. Sadly I cracked my iPad screen and they kept telling me that it would be done within 24-48 hours. So after a week, I got my iPad back but the new screen was cracked from the inside and still wasn't properly fitted to the backing. After explaining this to the guy at the front counter, he said," if you want it perfect, go and buy a new iPad." Therefore they kept it to fix it correctly. Went in with a MacBook pro that was running really slow and had several applications crashing . Walter the rep was knowledgeable and recommended a hard drive swap as well as an OS upgrade. Came back the next day and my macbook had a brand new solid state drive with the latest OS (Yosemite) and antivirus. Great job! Will definitely recommend. read more
