Yeah, perhaps you MIT folks should stick to three letters.

It's a fancy-ish hotel. Someone's dead relatives stare at you from many walls. They supposedly grow their own greens, which then are drowned in heaps and mounds of oil and vinegar. That said, the conference room was pretty nice. The v6 option would have been great had it been routed outside the conference room. Also... No alarm clock. Really? Yes, my laptop works quite well as an alarm clock, but not leaving options is an interesting choice. The exercise room in the main building is kinda excruciating. Might work in the dead of Massatwoshits winter, but during the summer it's not quite good pain. The killer part: The state of the tapestries and paintings is shameful. Tattered and dirty. The quality of the sleeping and conference rooms pulled it back to three stars. Otherwise this has all the trappings of stinky, decrepit old money. Caveat: I'm Berkeley. This is MIT. So of course I'm going to laugh at the "exersize" room. Which, btw, has been re-purposed as another conference room.

    Stately front entrance.

My wife and I traveled all the way from California for our honeymoon and our first World Cup…read moreexperience, and unfortunately our stay at the Hilton Dedham has become one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. When I made my reservation, I specifically booked and paid for a King Bed room because this was our honeymoon. Earlier on the day of arrival, I contacted the hotel through the Hilton app and also called to confirm that we needed the King Bed that we had reserved. Despite those confirmations, when we arrived late at night, just before 11 PM after a long day of travel, we were informed that there were no King Bed rooms available. The explanation given was that the hotel had an unexpected number of guests because of the World Cup. Frankly, I found this difficult to understand. The World Cup is one of the largest sporting events in the world, and Hilton Dedham is one of the closest Hilton properties serving fans attending these events. How was there no planning for such a major event? More importantly, why was the room type that I specifically reserved and confirmed not held for us? Instead of the King Bed room we paid for, we were offered a room with two separate beds on our honeymoon. We explained the situation and how important this was to us, but the front desk staff told us there was no manager available and that our options were either to accept the room, cancel the reservation, or find another hotel. After traveling across the country and arriving late at night, being told to "go somewhere else" was shocking and completely inconsistent with the level of service I expect from Hilton. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, we finally accepted the room because we were exhausted. Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. Once we entered the room and started unpacking, we discovered that the air conditioning was not working properly. After nearly ten hours of travel and dealing with jet lag, the last thing we wanted was another issue. We had to gather our belongings again, return to the front desk, and explain the problem. The staff eventually found another room, but it was on the opposite side of the hotel, requiring us to move all of our luggage once again. By this point, we were physically exhausted, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. What was supposed to be the first night of our honeymoon had turned into a stressful series of problems. The second room had working air conditioning, but the unit was so loud that neither of us could sleep. Every time it ran, it produced excessive noise, making it nearly impossible to rest. We ended up awake until around 3:00 AM. To make matters worse, we also discovered that the sink in the room was cracked, raising even more concerns about the overall condition and maintenance of the property. What makes this even more frustrating is that this happened just last night, and we still have two more nights remaining in our stay. As of the time of writing this review, nobody from hotel management has reached out to us, offered an upgrade, attempted to move us into the King Bed room that we originally reserved, or provided any meaningful resolution. The issue is still ongoing. The most disappointing part of this experience is that none of these issues should have happened. The room type we reserved was not honored despite confirmation. We were initially assigned a room with a malfunctioning air conditioner. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night. The replacement room had a noisy HVAC system and a damaged sink. And throughout all of this, no meaningful solution, accommodation, or compensation has been offered. This trip was supposed to be a special honeymoon memory for my wife and me. Instead, our first night was filled with frustration, exhaustion, and disappointment. We chose Hilton because of its reputation and paid a premium rate expecting quality accommodations and reliable service. Unfortunately, this stay has fallen far below those expectations. I hope Hilton management reviews this experience seriously and contacts us as soon as possible while we are still guests at the property. At a minimum, I believe some form of compensation or reimbursement is warranted given the number of service failures we have experienced. Most importantly, I hope future guests do not have to go through what we did on what should have been one of the happiest occasions of our lives. Management may contact me directly for additional details regarding this stay: Email: mohammadalbdrany@gmail.com

Lack luster check in by a robotic employee who was not aware of how important empathy is in the hotel space when things don't go as planned. 2. Mice or rats. Rodents were seen scurrying on the room and when brought to front desks attention the answer was I will have maintenance come to your room. Other option is switch to a room with broken ac. I went back to my room only to discover the ac didn't work in the room with the rodent so o switched to another room with broken ac. 3. Upon going to my new room, the key didn't work. Made way back down and rekeyed. Went back up to discover the door handles are reversed and you must pull up vs push down on lever. Makes no sense. 4. Ac was indeed broken and uncomfortable to say the least. 5. Sink was stopped up 6 At check out I discovered others had rodents in their room too as well as dirty rooms. 7. No manager on duty at 8am and front desk person said he would give me points but nothing has been deposited. 8. Lastly and the one that will make you cringe! My colleague found a dead rodent in the bed. Disgusting! Totally unacceptable for a Hilton property and based on other reviews the rodent problem is not being addressed. I can't believe the experience and hope no one else experiences it.

The venue had to have a hall to fit 100-150 people, hotel rooms at the venue or nearby for traveling guests, and a variety of good quality food. From our first meeting with Jayme Dalipovic, their catering sales manager, we knew we didn't need to look anywhere else. They had multiple rooms of varying sizes, so it gave us some flexibility depending on how many people were coming. Being a hotel, they had plenty of rooms that we were able to reserve blocks of rooms at a great discount. And when we booked up the block, they provided us with more. Unlike most halls, the food options were from their on-site restaurant. They had great options for food and it didn't feel like mass-produced generic catering food, but like we were getting food directly from an elegant restaurant...which it was! And even more impressive than finding this place that exceeded our expectations on what we were looking for, it far exceeded all the intangibles that we had never even thought of. The quality of service and hospitality made us feel like we were royalty. The level of attention they focused on left nothing unthought of. Every little detail they made sure was perfect! For anyone looking for a place to hold an important event, be it a Bar Mitzvah, a wedding or a company retreat, we highly recommend going with Four Points by Sheraton Norwood. They will help create an event that you and your guests will never forget.

Restful Stay & Great Value…read more We stayed one night at the Hampton Inn in Norwood and had a very restful experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing--especially the shower with plenty of hot water. The entire facility felt well-maintained and clean. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Even though we had some booking issues, they handled everything professionally and kindly, which really made a difference. Breakfast looked good overall. The only downside was that there were no eggs when we came down around 8:00 AM--we may have arrived before they restocked the scrambled eggs. That said, the coffee was absolutely delicious. For the price, this hotel is a great value. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, and a peaceful night's sleep. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Norwood/Boston area.

They have ample parking with a great restaurant attached (Mick Morgan's) and I really think the restaurant made our stay bearable at almost $350/night. The toilet paper holder was broken and the toilet paper roll would slide off and the holder couldn't be used. The carpet could use shampooing; it had a stale funky odor. The air conditioner barely cooled the room off and we left on the lowest setting of 65 degrees. The housekeeping staff was super loud each morning. The breakfast served had brown, over ripened bananas that had fruit flies all over it. Oranges weren't ripe enough. Hot breakfast was overcooked and dry, making it inedible. The staff that ran breakfast wasn't friendly at all. Got a yogurt and left. I don't recommend this specific hotel and I won't be staying here again with all the options nearby.

Hotel had a block of rooms at a lower rate, which was a nice thing - close to the event and very close to the Target and other restaurants right nearby, along with a Wegmans in the complex. Also right beside the train station, so that was convenient if you didn't want to drive into Boston. Location can get packed with fans if you have football games going on, so the weekend rates were higher than the weekday rates by quite a bit. Space is relatively new, lobby clean and restaurant/bar there, as well as check in and a small shop for snacks. They had a water tower there, too, and a small area with TVs and a business center all on the first floor. Pool was closed for maintenance, and gym was small but had all the basic weights and a couple treadmills. And they have some cookies out every night (varies by type). They do room service every other day, or you can call for more frequent service (or state none at all at the start). The food service area is only open a few hours of the day (it's not continuous coffee available, you have to go to Dunkin or a Starbucks instead of that's your drive). Rooms were comfortable and had plenty of lights and a small fridge, AC that you could turn off, blackout curtains, and a mirror. TV didn't work, initially, staff came in and at least had the cable working, but the TV video was all blue tinted. They said it'll get fixed with a new batch of TVs coming in, so we'll see what happens the next time we visit! Parking lot had plenty of space, shared with the urgent care next door and the Del Frisco's Grille.
