    Chicken Milanese

Had a really nice dinner here. Portions are generous and menu was great. I liked the chicken Milanese. The salad on top was great. Everything tasted very fresh. Servers were very friendly and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. Good spot to get dinner with family or friends.

This place was fantastic. The food was amazing - we had a number of apps and they were all delicious. We had a larger group and were seated near the back door opposite the small kitchen. I was impressed by what they put out from that little space! The entrees were hard to choose from because the options all sounded amazing. I got the roasted chicken and it was fantastic. I will say that my fav app was probably the fried pickles or calamari -- my fav side was the truffle fries, SO SO good. Friendly service and fast too. I'd come back!

Wow this restaurant was fantastic small but good space management. Delicious food especially their grilled chicken with Citrus and Basmati rice and green onion. A perfect place to grab a dinner.

I really had a good dinner here with the family. Really love the tuna tartar so we ordered it twice. I had the beet salad too. The halibut was delicious! The Bolognese was sooo good, the Shortrib was yum. Fresh food. The ambiance was simple and bright.

Came here on a Friday night, I recommend making a reservation and park in the back. If not you will have to look for street parking. The ambience was nice, they really max out on tables, it can get a wee bit tight if you are very tall. The hostess is set up by the bar so walk up to them otherwise you will be standing awkwardly in the front of the restaurant. The service was very attentive and accommodating to the groups food allergies. They have the QR menus, if you have a hard time reading, this menu might take you a bit. The font is weird and in a dimly lit restaurant it makes it even more challenging. The food was pretty solid. Out of the appetizers I would revisit the calamari and the salad that came with the crab cake. The calamari was delicious, it was more than just fried squid. You could taste the pickled peppers mixed and the dipping sauce was very nice, different from your standard marinara. The crab cake was forgettable but the salad was awesome! I hate salads with a passion, but the dressing was top notch. The tuna tartare was good but I think was missing a dressing. There was a sauce sprinkled but not enough to notice and elevate the dish. It was very well presented. The fried pickles were good, I don't care for fried pickles but everyone else enjoyed them. Onto the entrée's, the group all got the halibut while I got the free bird chicken. Wifey got jealous because the bird was the bomb. The gravy was rich but not too heavy and it still looked like a refined dish. The halibut was ok, nothing amazing but was told it was really good the last time a member of the group last dined. This seems like a good date night if you have a sitter, but for sure make a reservation or you may need to go next store and have a pizza instead. I'd come here again but probably in 6 or 7 months as it seems they rotate their menu based on past Dishes on Yelp that are no longer on the menu.

Screenshot of the menu on my phone. So hard to read. And that logo, no words can capture the incongruity here!

Went here on a Thursday night and it was bumping! Clearly a popular spot and I see why, it's tasty and has a great menu, just not a literally great menu. As in, they don't actually give you a paper menu. This would be fine, I am capable of using my phone to view a menu, but as a graphic designer I was thoroughly bewildered by the poor design of their digital menu. Holy pancakes Batman, that is hard to read! All caps, handwritten style, condensed font with lines that don't fit across the screen (and isn't responsive design so it doesn't line break for you), Oy, what a mess. Please Farmhouse, hire a designer to fix this for you, or at least switch to a more functional typeface. OK, with that out of the way, on to the good stuff. The Kale salad (like a shredded salad) and beet salad were yum, the burrata was a bit disappointing, maybe because it was too cold, it just didn't have the usual creamy goodness and I guess it's no longer peach season, so maybe that didn't help. Most folks got the fish tacos which they loved, I got the short ribs which hit all the right notes and melted apart in a lovely way. The space is small, so it gets filled quickly, they have a great outdoor space in the back lot when the weather is good. The waitstaff was great and parking is easy in the lot out back.

Omg! My first time at The Farmhouse. The Short Ribs were so flavorful and delicious! Best I've ever had. I will definitely be back

We walked into a space that is comfortable and notably quiet for its size, which made it a good option for larger parties or anyone who wants to actually have a conversation without competing with the room. Live music downstairs adds a different dimension to evening visits, and the kitchen stays open until midnight, which makes it a reliable option when other spots have already closed. The nachos are the standout order and the dish most worth building your visit around. They came out loaded and well constructed without collapsing into the pile of soggy chips that ruins most nacho plates. The smash tacos are worth ordering across a few different fillings to get a sense of what the kitchen does well, and the birria tacos in particular have built a following for the depth of flavor in the braised meat and the accompanying consommé for dipping. We tried a few of the other taco options, and they landed on the milder side in terms of seasoning, which was a bit of a letdown compared to the birria. The portion size relative to price also felt a little small on some plates. The ceviche was decent but benefited from some additional flavor, so adjusting expectations on that particular order makes sense. Service was attentive and the pacing of the meal matched the relaxed atmosphere of the room. The staff knew the menu well and offered thoughtful recommendations without being pushy. For a Latin restaurant in Boston that delivers on atmosphere, late hours, and a few standout dishes like the nachos and birria tacos, Lockheart is a solid option worth keeping in mind for a group dinner or a late night meal.

We walked into a spacious, contemporary space with a large bar and plenty of seating, the kind of place that works equally well for watching a game with friends or a relaxed dinner. The interior had a comfortable, polished energy that struck a balance between lively and approachable, and the extensive beer and whiskey selection added to the inviting atmosphere. The menu goes beyond typical bar food with a mix of elevated comfort dishes, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and seasonal entrées. We ordered a few items and found the Chilean sea bass standing out, paired with a flavorful sauce that complemented the fish without overpowering it. The lamb with gnocchi was another popular choice, offering a hearty and well-balanced dish with tender meat and pillowy gnocchi that absorbed the rich sauce. The burgers were cooked to order and made a reliable option for something more casual, arriving juicy and well assembled. For drinks and appetizers, the calamari, burrata, and flatbreads were good options to share, each coming out fresh and well seasoned. The bar program was another highlight, with a wide selection of craft beers, whiskey, and classic cocktails that were well prepared and paired naturally with the food. Service was friendly and welcoming, with staff happy to make recommendations and accommodate different group sizes. While some visits could experience slower service during busy periods, the overall experience tended to be attentive, and the team worked to create a comfortable atmosphere for both families and larger groups. The pacing of the meal stayed steady, and the food came out without much delay. Parking is available in a small lot, though it could fill up during peak dining hours, and the restaurant's location near shopping on Needham Street made it a convenient stop before or after running errands. Overall, District 118 Kitchen & Bar is a solid choice for anyone looking for elevated pub fare in a relaxed setting. The combination of quality food, a strong drink selection, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it equally enjoyable for a casual lunch, dinner with family, or an evening out with friends.

The staff, managers, server all were very nice and accommodating. Food came out fast and hot. Also had a very nice conversation with the couple next to us, who had wisdom and knowledge of some history which we could relate to. We ordered the following: - Fritto misto 3/5 for me. The garlic/lemon aioli that was loaded on the bottom of the dish was great just allows u to smear and dip everything into the plate instead of a small dip dish everyone has to share. The calamari and shrimp portion is a nice appetizer size. Crispy yes, but our portion was a bit overcooked. - spaghetti Al limone - perfectly cooked, nice chew and portion. You get 4 jumbo shrimps on the pasta plate. The lemon zest sauce was tasty! Enjoyed this! 5/5 - fennel sausage pizza 5/5 I really enjoy the way they make the pizza, crispy, good bites, fresh and served on the plate with a pair of pizza scissors so you can make your own "slices" loaded with toppings. It was a good thin style. Ample bits of fennel sausage, peppers onions and scallion fresh on top. - limoncello mascarpone cake 5/5 This was a great cap to the meal. Light, the mascarpone was refreshing, the cake was not heavy and the lemon flavor came thru like a champ! Not overly sweet which is a plus for us. Some bakeries make their cakes so sweet, that it all just tastes artificial, the slice here was yummy.

It was super cool to learn that they are Employee owned, and currently working on new restaurant concepts set to open soon. Here's what we ordered: - Shirley temple - fritto misto - fennel sausage pizza - spaghetti al limone - limoncello mascarpone cake Portion sizes were quite generous! Much bigger than what we were expecting, based on photos we looked at. We started off with the fritto misto, which included fried calamari, shrimp, & fried lemon with a lemon aioli to dip. The lemon aioli was spread all over the bottom of the dish instead of in a ramekin. We actually prefer it this way! Loved the lemon aioli and fried lemons. Calamari was not bad; slightly overcooked. On to our entrees! Their pizza is thin & very similar to a flatbread. We enjoyed this a lot! Great flavor and loved that we got to cut it ourselves. Came with a good amount of toppings. The spaghetti was made al dente & came with a creamy lime sauce. You can definitely taste the lime here! This came with 4 big shrimps. We were able to finish everything we ordered at this point... so we decided to get some dessert! We ordered the limoncello mascarpone cake to try & it was delicious! It tasted refreshing and not heavy at all. Overall, we had a great dinner here. Our server was very nice, attentive, and helpful with giving suggestions for what we should order. Checking out was also very easy. They offer QR code scan to pay through Toast, which can be scanned on your receipt bill.
