I came to Mitchell Fitness expecting a personal trainer. Instead, I got Thomas, who completely ruined all my excuses. To be fair, I am not an easy client. I am clumsy, I walked in with basically zero confidence, and I'm pretty sure I invented a few new ways to make simple exercises look complicated. Somehow, Thomas never made me feel embarrassed. He just kept encouraging me, correcting my form, and convincing me I was capable of more than I thought. Against my better judgment, he kept telling me to do "one more rep" and "trust the process." Unfortunately for me... he was right. I'm down 12 pounds and 4% body fat, and the funniest part is I wasn't even following all of his instructions. (Apparently I was supposed to walk on my non-training days. I thought those were strong suggestions LOL) The gym is always clean, the equipment is well maintained, and all of Thomas's clients are nice. Everyone is encouraging, celebrates each other's progress, and makes the gym feel welcoming instead of intimidating. Now I have more energy, my clothes fit better, and people keep asking what I've been doing. So thanks for that, Thomas I guess. If you're looking for a trainer who can work with someone who's clumsy, lacking confidence, and occasionally "forgets" the homework but still gets results Thomas is your guy. Thomas is a great trainer. He's very responsive to your personal fitness/health situation and works with you from where you are at. If you have an injury, he knows how to work around it and to strengthen you to avoid future injuries. Very good with seniors who have to build up strength slowly. Hooray!! No more meds for my bone density issues. Recently after my bone density test, I expected the worst coming from my doctor which was to continue with a stronger med for my condition. Due to scheduling conflicts with Trent, I am now training with Trent's son Thomas full-time. Thomas might look young (and he is in his early 20's) but don't confuse youth with inexperience! While Thomas' personal fitness interest is functional strength, he's actually very well educated in many aspects of fitness, from stretching to core strength, balance, strength training, bodybuilding, and olympic lifting. I have been a client at Mitchell Fitness for 8 months. The Journey started with recommendation from a co-worker who has been a long standing client. I work in a physical field and I was out of shape. A Dr. from UCLA came to our organization with a health and wellness program. After testing i learned my numbers were sub par for my age. I have worked out with Thomas Mitchell for 5 months now. He is an excellent trainer and very knowledgeable. I am 58 years old and in decent shape, but wanted to compete in track and field again. i was very fearful of getting on a track again and injuring myself. Thomas started me out very slow with lots of posture correction, making sure I was balanced on both sides of my body. Then we got into developing all areas of my body.
