This cute down town urban feeling restaurant is just delightful. The atmosphere is nice. The staff is wonderful. They were willing to help walk me through my first time being here and offered the kiosk for photos of the food or would explain. The food came out quick without it being fast food. "A Must-Try Bagel Spot in Fort Lauderdale" We were on the hunt for a great bagel spot in Broward, and after reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try--and they were absolutely right! We visited the Fort Lauderdale location, which is a small, modern spot in a newer building surrounded by other shops. It's an order-at-the-counter setup, and they bring the food out to you. The person at the counter was super friendly, patient, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We ordered the Mr. Eats 305 bagel, and wow--it did not disappoint! It came open-faced with sliced nova, plain cream cheese (not overly heavy), cucumber, hollandaise, crispy onions, scallions, and a drizzle of hot honey. The flavors were perfectly balanced and unique. They also offer homemade schmears, which is always a plus. We chose to go with the asiago bagels, which were soft, fresh, and honestly took me right back to NYC. We also had a classic bacon, egg, and cheese, and that was just as satisfying. Prices are a bit on the higher side, with bagels ranging anywhere between $14-$18, but the quality and flavors make it worth it. They do offer other menu items if bagels aren't your thing, but honestly, the bagels are the star of the show. You can also create your own. This place is totally worth the drive. If you can't get a spot on the main road, it won't matter if you are on the north or south side of the block because the restaurant It's located almost in the middle of the building. Well I said I would try lunch at Mitch's and that day has come. The Fort Lauderdale location is clean, organized, and well-kept. Service was great and there is a bunch of food options to choose from. I got the pastrami sandwich with fries, which was super tasty. The fries were delicious and perfect, in my opinion. The pastrami was fresh and was a tasty, hot sandwich. I had to add a bit of salt to it, but that's a personal preference and the sandwich was delicious nonetheless. Definitely a good place to check out for breakfast or lunch. read more

Visited Mitch's Downtown for the first time today, and I was really impressed! I went mainly to try their bagels (IMO, finding a really good bagel here is hard). I had a pumpernickel bagel, and it was amazing! The outside had a very nice crust, but not so hard that it was difficult to chew. But the inside was light and soft! Definitely one of my favorite bagels now! I only wish they had salt bagels, will have to make sure to check them out at their Weston location. I also decided to try their potato pancakes after seeing some in their case, and they were absolutely delicious!! I picked up a black and white cookie to try as well, because I try them wherever I find them (pretty much my favorite cookie). Normally the chocolate side is too sweet for me, but not with this cookie! I highly recommend trying one if you love this type of cookie! I am definitely going to go back soon to try more of their food offerings, they have a nice variety of breakfast and lunch items. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was ready quickly. I was looking for a cafe to eat at after an event that I attended in Fort Lauderdale and decided to try Mitch's bagel café. I ordered one of the smoked salmon bagels and a Matcha latte. It seems as though this place is very busy because many of the bagels were already sold out and many of the seats were taken. The bagel was good, but I thought it was a little salty for my taste and the Matcha wasn't my favorite. I would like to note that many of the items, especially those with smoked salmon, are about $18. My friend ordered there was an egg sandwich for a much lower price which she enjoyed. The service was quick and the staff were OK. The space is a bit small for the amount of people that come through, but we were able to find seating on some barstools. I do like that there was a lot of street parking available in the front as well as the back. Overall I'm glad I was able to try it out. read more

The chicken wrap I chose delivered fresh flavors while the fries served as a small portion that exceeded my taste expectations with their excellent seasoning. The high price of $6 for a muffin remained the only negative aspect of my visit. The restaurant served excellent food while providing fast service to its customers. My Suggestion: The downtown location offers excellent quick lunch options although customers should prepare for Miami's expensive food prices. read more

It was $18.50, so definitely not cheap. It tasted good, but it was a bit messy to eat. My boyfriend got the Hangover bagel with no cheese on a sesame bagel. He liked his sandwich but didn't think it was quite worth the $14. He did say the hash brown was nice and crispy though. I ordered this bagel platter for a few of us. There were countless bagels included, maybe fifteen. The amount of cream cheese was mind boggling and much appreciated. They are not skimpy at all like most other places. I mean, the depth of the cream cheese amount was brilliant. I love my cream cheese if you couldn't tell. Both the regular and Chinese cream cheese were good, but the chive hit it out of the park. The bagels were fresh. They were very good. The Asiago bagel was much thinner than the others which was disappointing because I love that flavor. Oh, I forgot to mention the tomatoes. These were incredibly delicious. It seems most markets just don't sell tasty tomatoes. I would love to buy the ones Mitch's buys. So, so good. I wish there were more olives and less onions. The platter was packed with them. And I like red onions. This was just unnecessarily too much. Staff was pleasant and friendly. This place gets very, very busy. They are closed Mondays. read more

My bag was already waiting on the counter when I arrived, which made it quick and easy. I got the "Chopped Bagel," overstuffed with nova, scallion cream cheese, tomato, onion, cucumber and capers on an everything bagel. It was fire. But that's because they do very good bagels/breakfast bagels! It's a deli, but I really go there for the bagels to be frank. They have everything from asiago, onion, cinnamon raisin, and egg everything bagels. Everything can be turned into a bagel. They also do really good coffee and matcha! They also do breakfasts like french toast; they have sweets like cinnamon rolls; there are bagel chips and spreads sold separately. I'm not too sure what they do for the deli part actually. I did see something pastrami on the menu. Maybe we should look into that! It's right in the middle of downtown Fort Lauderdale. 1st level of a high top. There's indoor and outdoor seating.
