    Their Mandarin Salad
    Vito K.

My fiancé and I came in yesterday for a quick lunch after out workout. Cool Interior and exterior. Really good menu options. Super friendly customer service. I had one of their chicken sandwiches my fiance had one of their salads and we had a couple of their chocolate chip cookies. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend and recommend and definitely will be returning soon.

    SPICY FALAFEL BOWL

we've been getting this for lunch at the office recently and it's just astonishingly sad food. the chicken is so dry and ugly and horrible and the little tiny falafels so crusty and old looking. every ingredient is just low quality. get sweetgreen or something else. mixt is the kind of food that looks, smells, and tastes like it's going to make me sick. some deep animal instinct tells me not to eat it.

    Tofu banh mixt sandwich: great!

Great vegan sandwich option. I'm trying to incorporate more vegan meals into my diet and I thought the Tofu Banh Mixt sandwich was really great. The combination of marinated tofu and avocado made me almost forget that there wasn't any meat or animal products. The sandwich comes with a side salad which goes well together. And given the portion I'd say the price is pretty worth.

Caesar Salad with Chicken - $13.45

As usual, the food is high quality, fresh and healthy. Their vegetables are distinctively fresh. The salads are not cheap but the portions are generous (even for an 8-month pregnant lady like myself). I cannot overstated how much they truly understand the art of putting a good salad together. Don't expect the typical boring salad here. Their salads have crisp, crunch, protein, flavor and that extra push to make them heartier & more filling than your average salad. Staff is so friendly and they've taken protective measures during the COVID-19 outbreak. Definitely my favorite lunch spot! The food doesn't make me feel sluggish and brain foggy after eating. I feel full, satisfied and able to complete my workday. You really can't go wrong with any of the salads but my favorites are the Caesar with Chicken and the Cowboy. My husband's favorite sandwich is The Royale. Their fresh lemonades are also good. Try the strawberry ginger one :).

    PUEBLA. Nice lunchtime salad.

Very good lunchtime salad. I ordered the Puebla for delivery. They were a little stingy with the dressing and the roasted sweet potatoes, but the chicken is cooked to perfection.

    Cobb salad

I have been trying to eat a little healthier lately, so I have promised myself to eat one serving of fruit or vegetable per day. You can't go wrong with a salad! I really like the make it yourself salad places, so Mixt Green came up on my Yelp search. This location is in mid-Wilshire, right by the La Brea Tar Pits. I read other reviews that said that parking was awful here and the day that I came they had Framers Market across the street. Bleh. I thankfully found street parking across the street and walked over. The inside is super cute, had an airy feeling to it. I looked at the menu and they had a build it yourself and pre-fixe salad options. The build it yourself seemed a little expensive if you want to add on things. I decided on one of the pre-fixe, the Cobb salad. The guy was super nice and since I didn't want cheese, he let me pick another ingredient. I got my salad and wandered outside to the outdoor table. My salad was super fresh tasting and I liked the dressing they had on the salad. It was also the perfect amount of food. I think it might be a little on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it for the fresh salad.

I come here several times a month and it's my favorite salad spot in LA by far. My favorites are the Caesar, the Cobb, and the bachelor.

I walked in to FOUR employees and ZERO customers in line. You'd think at least one person might say, "Hi," "Welcome," or perhaps acknowledge that a human being had entered the building. Nope. Apparently I had activated stealth mode. I stood at the register for FOUR MINUTES while the staff perfected the ancient hospitality technique known as "pretend the customer doesn't exist." Eventually, I had to wave someone down and say, "Good afternoon" TO THEM. Nothing says "Welcome to Tender Greens" quite like having to welcome yourself. And then there was the pozole. Calling it pozole feels disrespectful to actual pozole. Absolutely disgusting. I've had meals from questionable gas stations prepared with more dignity. Whatever happened in that kitchen should remain between the cook and their conscience. The décor was also... committed. Very committed. The rainbow theme was everywhere, and personally, it felt excessive for a place where I just wanted to order lunch. I truly could not care less who anyone dates, loves, marries, or goes home with. That is none of my business whatsoever. I came for FOOD. Maybe put some of that enthusiasm into the pozole and customer service. The irony is almost impressive: there was plenty of messaging around the restaurant, yet apparently "Hello, welcome" was the one message nobody could deliver. So congratulations, Tender Greens West Hollywood. With four employees, no line, four minutes of being ignored, and one bowl of pozole I'd like to erase from my memory, you managed to lose a customer permanently. I will absolutely not be returning. Food: atrocious Service: somehow worse Hospitality: missing, presumed dead Chance of me returning: approximately the same as that pozole winning a Michelin star. If ignoring customers were an Olympic sport, this crew would be standing on the podium.

The space is bright, airy, and full of greenery, with a greenhouse-style bar in the middle that immediately gives the room some personality. We went during a busy brunch, but it still felt relaxed enough to settle in and catch up. My friend went with the mimosa flight, while I was facing the classic brunch dilemma of needing caffeine and a cocktail simultaneously. Thankfully, the Havana Espresso Martini exists. Crisis averted. I ordered The Country Breakfast with eggs, Impossible sausage, fingerling potatoes, a buttermilk biscuit, and arugula. It was a generous plate and much more filling than I expected. The biscuit was especially good, with that golden, flaky top that made it hard not to finish. My friend ordered the Lemon Lavender Waffles, and they looked every bit as good as they sounded. They came with macerated cherries, whipped vegan cream, and maple syrup. I liked that the menu had plenty of plant-forward options without making brunch feel overly virtuous. Everything still felt fun and indulgent enough for a weekend meal. I'd happily come back. Between the brunch menu and how inviting the space is, I can see why this place stays busy.
