MIXUE has received its share of marketing and promo on social media for its soft serve, drinks & pricing. Since we were in the area and the wait wasn't too long, we decided to give them a try. Upon entry you will notice their kiddish red & ability white logos and decor with their snowman caricature. You do self order on the kiosk & pay by credit card only. Then b you go to the counter for pick up once they call your number. We decided to order affogato latte, matcha latte & jasmine float. + pricing - no customization - ask for sample but unwilling to accommodate - affagato latte taste like bad coffee with milk. Unfortunately and rarely will I decide that this is a no for me.

Quick easy stop for cheap drinks and ice cream. The ice cream is a bit tart? I think the word is. Id go back and try rhe matcha. Fast service too despite the crowd.

Can't really go wrong with $1 ice cream tbh. Their matcha ice cream is actually really good for $1.69. It's easy to order and pay on the kiosks, and the workers are pretty efficient with churning them out. The vanilla and chocolate ice creams are okay, they both taste vaguely reminiscent of vanilla/chocolate, but not quite like the actual flavor it's supposed to be. It's hard to describe. The drinks are also okay, but hey, can't really complain bc it's so cheap. Thank you China for Mixue!

A place to get affordable bubble milk tea and ice cream. I won't say it is the best ice cream or boba I've tasted but it is definitely the most affordable one in the city. The service is quite fast as within 2~ minutes of ordering usually we get our order. Sometimes this place is just absolutely packed and sometimes there is just a few minutes wait to get in. Definitely give it a try if in the neighborhood and have a sweet tooth.

Mixue is amazing, first Time at this location, less crowded with same quality of soft serves. Ordering is easy, using the kiosks and definitely worth getting the matcha soft serve. The worker will call your order number before serving. Definitely worth giving this brand a try. There are some seats available but feels like more of a grab and go spot, pretty noisy because music is being played pretty loudly.

IF what you are looking for is above average soft serve that's practically free. Go. If you are looking for high end nuanced flavors. Skip. I was surprised that the matcha was actually slightly strong, in a good way. Better than many that are 3x$

Very crowded on weekends but that's not a surprising given the warm weather. The ice creams are the best. Very affordable and refreshing.

I was so excited to see this when I was in Chinatown but was disheartened by the long line. The two kiosks are way too close to the exit/door that it causes quite a traffic jam and makes it look way more crowded. Thankfully ordering didn't take long at all but what took the longest was just my soft serve. Eventually my friend saw people going directly up and mentioning their order number to get their order faster. Everything is really affordable and tasty so I do think it's worth a visit.

Came here when it first opens. It has many cheap ice cream and drinks. Very simple and budget-friendly. The place has machines to order and seats to sit. Can also order in the counter. When ordered, the staff will call the number and then prepare the ice cream for us. Very quick. There is merch too. Often come here for a small drink and ice cream to cool off during humid summer.

Ok this is now one of my go-to places when I go to Chinatown. I mean, how can you beat $1 (ok, $1.19) ice cream?! Despite the price, the portions are pretty big and the ice cream is delicious. Service is quick and they have self-order kiosks to make it easy to order. Or you can use the cash only register if you like. If you couldn't tell by the name, Mixue is a popular chain from China quickly gaining traction in the US. They pretty much play the theme song 24/7, reminding me of Don Quixote in Asia.

Tried the pearl milk tea at Mixue and honestly, it lives up to the hype if you're looking for something cheap and quick in NYC. The pearl milk tea was about $4.99, which is way cheaper than most bubble tea spots in the city. The drink itself was solid creamy, pretty sweet, and the boba had a nice chewy texture. It's not the most premium tea flavor wise, but for the price, it definitely hits. One thing to note is the ordering system, you order through a self service kiosk instead of at the counter. It's pretty straightforward and fast, but it does make the experience feel a bit impersonal. On the plus side, it keeps the line moving quickly, which is nice because this place can get busy. As for seating, don't expect to hang out here. The space is very limited (or sometimes no seating at all), so it's more of a grab and go spot than somewhere to chill. Overall: good value, quick service, and decent boba. I'd come back if I want something sweet without spending $7-$8 at other tea shops.

I guess you get what you pay for. For the prices you're paying for the ice cream it's not bad but for the milk drinks, it is very bland so I didn't enjoy it. The fruits tea drinks are slightly better but I guess don't expect too much. Luckily the wait wasn't too long the few times I came by if not I would not think it's worth the wait.

You can still find a $1 cone in New York City and it's at Mixue . Ok ,it's actually $1.19 plus tax so total was $1.30 . But that's only for the vanilla soft serve cone (cocoa or matcha i think was $1.98.) Now it's very creamy and dense and hits the spot on a hot day but it isn't as sweet as most other soft serve. So although I prefer my ice cream a bit sweeter you can't beat this price . Check out Mixue on Canal and Broadway if you're in Chinatown. Take your receipt to the back counter area to pick up your cone .

I've never been to a yogurt store that makes you pay a set price first before selecting toppings, which also means toppings are limited based on the yogurt size (something I only realized later after looking at a picture I took in the store). The employee who was supposed to help me immediately gave me attitude, as if I was supposed to already know all the "rules" of the store. I said nothing that would have warranted that reaction -- I simply went over to the display. At the register, I scanned my rewards app then couldn't find the card reader to pay. After about 20 seconds, I realized it was sitting on top of a case of water bottles (pictured). The topping limit signage was also placed off to the side of the register where customers wouldn't naturally see it -- it wasn't even on my side and was partially blocked. I only found this out when I went up to the counter after I got my yogurt. While choosing toppings, I asked how many I was allowed, and she responded, "How many toppings do you think you're supposed to choose?" with a noticeably rude tone. When I chose cookie dough as my fourth topping, she only gave me a few pieces, dropped another on the counter (pictured), and ignored it. The cookie dough topping was stale too. I also noticed she did not seem to treat other customers the same way. I eventually went back to the register - I asked her if the yogurt was actually strawberry matcha because it tasted like vanilla. I also asked about her rudeness because I genuinely didn't understand why I was being treated that way for asking simple questions. She said the information was "on the wall," even though it was difficult to see. I actually ended up apologizing earlier because she made me feel like I was burdening her. The only personable thing she said the entire interaction was that I didn't need to apologize, but the tone still felt unfriendly. Two customers sitting nearby ended up leaving without ordering. I understand it was Super Bowl Sunday and she appeared to be working alone, which may have contributed to stress. Still, I left feeling extremely shaken and even spilled yogurt on my jacket afterward. I would not return to this location. I used to come to this location sometimes, but after this experience -- and a previous visit where I ordered a tea and received very little -- I would not return.

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.
