Exactly what you expect, super cheap Chinese ice cream. You order at a digital kiosk and they had the cone ready within a minute. There's no where to sit or even stand so plan to go elsewhere after. Feel bad for the coworkers who have to listen to the jingle all day. Decorated with their cartoon snowman. You can claim a plush if you spend over $20, which would be hard with ice cream but doable with drinks. My friends thought their sundaes tasted bland though. Good place to stop by on a walk for a pick me up.
TL;DR: Matcha soft serve is tasty for the price and worth the extra 40 cents. Alright drinks. This was the first of a handful of locations of the US premier of the giant Chinese chain, Mixue, short for Mixue Bingcheng/蜜雪冰城/Honey Snow Ice City. It is the largest chain by number of stores, and I had vaguely heard of it before it opened. I've been here a handful of times, with the first time being shortly after they first opened, and the lines were gigantic. There was also a large plush version of their mascot, as well as a pretty loud rendition of their theme song. The lines for this spot have since toned down a bit, with the largest lines now being at their newest Herald Square location, as well as the Chinatown location, of course. The first time, they had a deal where you could get an ice cream for a literal ¢, and I got a plain ice cream as they were out of the matcha flavor. The ice cream is more of an ice milk with a mild, lightly sweet flavor, but it's hard to complain, as the price point is that low. If you like matcha, I would heavily recommend paying 40 cents more for their matcha version, which has a surprising amount of matcha flavor for the price. The other thing I've had here was the Passion Blast for $4.49 with 30% sugar and less ice. I was originally going to get another drink, but they were apparently out of it, which is weird, as someone else I knew got the same drink at the same time as me. Possibly because of this, you should order at the kiosk. The drink was fine, with a very mild tea flavor and a pretty sour base with plenty of seeds. Next time, I would try one of their oolong milk teas, or something similar, because I've been looking for a cheap oolong fix. If this were a buck or two more, I'd complain about the quality. Thankfully, it's accurately priced.
Not bad at all for decent soft serve under $2! I tried all 3 flavors, original ($1.19), cocoa ($1.69), and matcha ($1.69), and they were all surprisingly creamy and delicious. I liked the original the best though the matcha flavor shocked me the most; it was actually concentrated and very matcha-forward. IMO, worth the extra 50 cents more than the original flavor if you're a matcha fan. There are a couple kiosks for self ordering and I received my soft serve pretty fast. It's a small, grab-and-go location so my friends and I stood outside and enjoyed our soft serve, right next to the large blow-up of their cute snowman mascot.
They now have chocolate ice cream! It's less than $2. Just what is needed for a sweet treat, especially on a hot day. I also tried the chocolate shake with boba included. That was about $4. It was ok. It's more chocolate milk than ice cream. The boba was decent. For that price though, you can get 2 ice creams and it would be more satisfying. So next time, I will stick to ice cream. It's hidden under the scaffold but hard to miss the bright red storefront unless you're walking with your eyes closed. Not too far away from the C/E trains. Still has kiosks for those who are paying with card. You've to order by the register paying in cash. Fast service either way from friendly staff. Limited space to stand around and of course there're no seats. Offers a decent menu of fruit tea, milk tea, and matcha/vanilla soft serve options. There's a LED overhead screen displaying customers' order numbers, so you'll know when it's time for pickup. Employees can speak both Chinese and English. Super affordable and great for those who are currently on a low budget. Can't get cheaper than that compared to other boba tea spot places in the area with $7-12 as the price range. Where else can you possibly get soft serve for $1.30? The texture of vanilla soft serve is delicious + light + not overly sweet. Such a perfect little treat for myself once in a while. Will try the matcha next time. Only downside is you can't get a drink without any ice. Definitely my favorite spot to stop by for ice cream from now on!
Heard a lot about of Mixue during the holidays and finally passed by in Midtown west side.. short line and decided to try it.. Soft serve ice cream for $1.19 or $1.69 for matcha...good price compared to what you get elsewhere. Order via kiosk and pay right there... they will call your order number and make it for you right there. Vanilla was a little watered down but good. Matcha was a little heavier but good. They have other options as well - sundaes, fruit tea, milk tea, coffee. All comparable / reasonable prices - all displayed for one to see and compare options. Quick service. Snow King inflatable actually had a person inside of it. LOL Great location especially for a treat heading towards Columbus Circle esp spring/summer time..
Stopped by around early evening to finally try the ice creams here, but to my surprise, they already sold out of all their ice creams! I really wanted to try their cheap soft serve (only $1.19), and the strawberry sundae ($3.49) sounded pretty good, too but I'll have to get it next time instead. I got coconut mango with taro drink instead and added pudding topping for 50 cents. The pudding topping was well worth it because it really tied the whole drink together. The total for the drink was only $5.48 -- I almost thought that I was back in 2015 seeing these prices. The drink wasn't bad at all. Not really on the same level as the Mango Mango drinks, but pretty decent. Shop has 3 kiosk machines for ordering and one cashier taking orders. There isn't much interior space, so no table or seats, but still big enough to house at least 20 people.
I came here excited on a warm "spring" evening only to find that all their soft serve was sold out It was a huge bummer, and I can only thing how it'll be like when it's summertime. So instead, I decided to order a Coconut Mango with Taro which was better than I expected! I'm not the biggest fan of boba, but the taro was soft and chewy almost like mochi. The mango was fresh as well. So even though I was disappointed that I didn't get my matcha soft serve, at least I know the other options are reliable!
Very cheap soft-serve "ice cream" although I found the matcha ice cream to be very thin and watery, which I guess is what they mean when they say you get what you pay for. Also the ordering system was a bit chaotic. We ordered the ice cream on the kiosk (it's not available to order from the app); pretty soon it said order ready for pickup for our numbers but it was probably close to 10 minutes after that when they finally gave us our orders. They also handed one out to the wrong number and then didn't want to give us one of the ones we ordered saying that number had already been picked up. Luckily we got it sorted out, but I'm not sure if it was worth the time and calories for something that I don't care for the taste of.

Bubble bubble! Bubble tea! Quick on the go bubble tea! Had this in Vietnam and Taiwan before and this timesquare loc did not disappoint! Location: it is located along Timesquare, no seatings inside. You will notice it quickly due to their iconic Mixue mascot! Service: not much interaction, I just ordered on the kiosk and wait for my bubble tea. Food: I ordered their regular milk tea with boba and their chocolate soft serve. Their tea is very classic which I love, no extra flavorings like the other milk tea stores. Their soft serve is also delicious! Price rating: 4 out of 10. Very very cheap while in Timsquare!! Around $5 for 1 bubble tea. And $2 for softserve! I will probably try their other flavors. And will always come back here!! read more
Along the 8th Ave drag in the upper 40s under scaffolding is one of the OG mixue in NYC. 2-3 kiosks. Smallish location but once you order on kiosk (simple) soft serve ice cream comes at quick even on a hot busy summer day. No seats inside but some standing area. MIXUE is a great, cheap place to stop by for affordable ice cream cones at ~$1.30 - $2 each! I have tried all three flavors of their vanilla, chocolate, and matcha and I have to say their matcha is the most flavorful one worth getting if you like matcha. Its flavor profile tastes like real matcha with a deep, creamy, thick flavor. I do think they give such generous portions and they have a line for drinks and a line just for picking up ice cream so please note that. Their vanilla and chocolate flavor taste too light for me and not really vanilla or chocolate tasting...almost too flavorless or something is missing lol. But for the price it can't be beat and the workers serve you really fast in busy times. They play cute music in the store and I love their snowman statue! read more

They now have chocolate ice cream! It's less than $2. Just what is needed for a sweet treat, especially on a hot day. I also tried the chocolate shake with boba included. That was about $4. Matcha ice cream was delicious. Not gritty or bitter or overly sweet- would get it again. I was almost done w my ice cream when their drinks came out. Rest of the party got drinks- orange crush and an oolong peach tea- they enjoyed their drinks a lot. read more

The snowman mascot is super cute. Opened fairly recently and because we went on a Thursday at 1pm there was no line, which I'm super happy about because the place is not that big. Pricing on menu is very good. We ordered from the kiosk and that was easy. Joined the rewards program and that unlocked a lot of different coupons including a soft serve for a penny! They had a choice of vanilla and matcha and we choose matcha. It was very smooth and the first few bites were good but after a while it started to taste really sweet. We wanted to try a variety of drinks so we also ordered a jasmine milk tea with pudding, lemonade, jasmine tea side soft serve float. Everything is customizable in terms of ice, sweetness, and toppings. There were A LOT of people working at that time so our order was completed pretty quickly. Everything just tasted ok. Pricing can't be beat. For my personal taste with so many available options in the area, I'm glad I tried it, but it may not be for my taste preferences. read more
I got the ice cream with chocolate sauce. It's nothing to write home about, but it's pretty good for the price. The ice cream is milk flavored. For $3.50, it's a good deal. It's not like the usual soft serve we have here, so expect something less sweet and lighter. Mixue is a massive and extremely affordable Chinese fast-food chain specializing in ice cream, bubble tea, and other budget-friendly drinks. It's also known as the world's largest food-service chain by store count, so I was excited to see it come to New York. They currently have two locations, one in Koreatown and the other in the Theater District. I went about a week after opening, and thankfully there was no line outside anymore, though the inside was still packed. I ordered at the counter and got a Mixue soft serve for $1.19 and a medium pudding milk tea for $3.99. Unfortunately, they had already run out of boba by the time I got there. The soft serve came out almost immediately. It was very light and airy, with a surprisingly nice lingering aftertaste that I really enjoyed. The pudding milk tea took about ten minutes, but it met expectations. At these price points, there's really nothing to complain about. You genuinely can't beat the value. There's still a lot of scaffolding around the storefront, so I hope the wait times get better once things fully settle. Also, the repetitive song or chant playing inside is honestly very annoying. That said, I'd still definitely come back anytime I'm in the area and craving a quick sugar fix. read more

Let's start with my order. I had pre-ordered the combo of jasmine green milk tea and coconut jelly milk tea( 2 drinks) on Hungry panda. Unbeknownst to me, the preorder deal was not readily made and I waited 45 minutes for my drinks. The ambiance was perhaps the best part of the store, with dancing snowmen singing the Mixue theme song. For the drinks, I thought that both milk teas were okay. The coconut jelly was not how I had expected. It was soft in texture without any chewiness. I'll probably go back soon to try other drinks but this experience was quite lackluster. read more
This is one of the less crowded mixues that have opened around the city but that's also means it's smaller and has less items available since they sell out faster. This particular location only had vanilla ice cream and ran out a few of the drinks. The ice cream cone was refreshing and it taste like ice cream from Asia. It's not as creamy or sweet as American soft serve. It's good prices, but you get what you pay for. read more
who doesn't love $2 ice cream?? - I was sold at the price tag. $2 vanilla or matcha soft serve cones or $4 sundaes with vanilla soft serve + set toppings - the Matcha flavor was so strong. I expected it to be a super diluted sugary taste, but it was really vivid and delicious. definitely order this if you're a big Matcha fan - the texture on this and the cookies and cream sundae were phenomenal. the ice cream was so incredibly smooth and silky. the vanilla did not have much flavor and was very mcdonalds like, so go for a sundae with toppings - it's a very small space with two kiosk to order online or you can order at the counter. the menu is huge and overblown with a bunch of graphics and there are no tables or anywhere to stay inside. read more

Staff are friendly even doe there isn't much contact with em. Like all the mixues, the prices are fair and service is quite fast to get your order done. There is consistency in taste among all the stores. 1st time shoppers have coupons but even afterwards, the drinks here are just as good but a much lower price compared to other chains. Mostly just young people visiting. read more

Staffs were friendly. There are three locations in Manhattan: Times Square, Herald Square, and Chinatown. I ordered from kiosk and enter your phone number for rewards. There a coupons you can use in the order. They make the drinks very quickly. The drinks were cheap and tastes good. I would go back and try out their other drinks. read more
this place just opened, they got really bright red storefront and once they get rid of the NYC scaffolding it will really stand out. They have the normal collection of bubble teas and an assortment of drinks here but I found the soft ice cream cones different for a bubble tea spot so I went with that, it was ok, probably would be better if it was 80 degrees outside instead of 23. read more

The ice cream was really good. It was my first time trying, and I would go again! I got the mango sundae and it was really good. The mango flavor didn't taste artificial. I also tried the vanilla ice cream by itself--it was soft, and creamy. The service was great, you can order digitally through the touchscreen or you can also order at the front. This location wasn't as crowded as the other places I'd seen on TikTok. The workers were nice, overall it was a good experience. read more
It was okay.. they ran out if boba when i got there so that was a bummer. I did get the jasmine milk tea and it wasnt that bad. I went around 4pm which wasnt that late either and there wasnt a long wait. The price is fine but i still paid 4 bucks which was mor pricey than the other drinks. Got a couple drinks including the classic mixue lemonade. It is what you expect and definitely cheaper than other places. Got the strawberry icecream drink and it was pretty good. The mango taro coconut was just okay and kinda watery. The service was super nice and overall pretty good. read more
Newly opened bubble tea chain from China, and seems to attract a lot of interests. Out of curiosity, we also lined up to see what the hype is about. We were pleasantly impressed by the quality of the drinks and ice creams (we tried the soft serve and strawberry sundae), just how non artificial the ingredients tasted. Also, service at the store was pleasant, we saw some customers had their orders messed up but the store staff was friendly in helping them. read more
