I had been craving for Boba for weeks & while trying to find a good spot I ended up finding this gem. All this years living in NYC never find a place this cheap ! They also have soft serve cone icecream ! I felt like a child & trust me when I say this I will be back. I finally can try some different flavors of boba now. So if you are near 32 nd street near Empire State Building you definitely gotta come & try this place .
Mixue branches have been popping up everywhere so I gave it a shot. The line is a little chaotic as it's unclear which line people are on once you're in the store. You can either order from the digital kiosks or at the register with a person. For the price ($1.19 for vanilla and $1.69 for the chocolate or matcha), their soft serve ice cream isn't bad. It's fine and the portion is okay. It's enough to satisfy a sweet treat craving.
Sooo cheap, I was in awe. Didn't get to try any of their drinks, but they looked really good. I did try the soft serve, and I thought it was okay. It definitely tastes like it's a dollar though. Not necessarily a bad thing!! I think what put me a little off was that I expected it to be vanilla but it was more milk flavored.
For my first time coming to Mixue, I got here on a 10 pm on Saturday, and the lines weren't too bad. I had the mango super sundae and I got a large milk tea with taro balls and coconut jelly. People talked about how the pricing here is pretty reasonable. I was able to get my orders for just under $10! I would definitely be interested in their other items as their fruit teas and matcha soft serve also caught my eyes!

Right near Herald Square in the bustle of it all was this store I have never heard of but there I was standing on that long line with all these people. They did have a red carpet out welcoming all in lol. I'm sure it was the prices for the ice cream, milk tea and Jasmine teas that created the line and it being the weekend. The vanilla and matcha soft serve was priced at 1.30 -1.69. The taro milk tea that I got was 3.99 plus tax added up to 4.34. so not to bad of prices for the middle of Manhattan. Taro tea was a bit lite, compared to the rich purples I'm used to. The pearls were also clear. Everything was happening so fast and numbers were being called all over the place so I don't blame them or my self for trying to get in and out lol. It quenched the thirst I had from walking around all day. Not a bad pop in and out spot. The " I love you, you love me" song that was on repeat I could have def done without yeesh!
The biggest fast chain restaurant has made its mark in the US, including bringing along its affordable prices. In these economic times, it's pretty amazing to get a drink for under $5 these days. While the line was out the door, it went by quickly. They also have a screen to show your status in line for your order. I ended up ordering an Oolong Tea ($1.99) and Pudding Milk Tea ($3.99). Both were great and refreshing. Also wish I could've tried the Ice Cream, but it was sold out the day I went. I really appreciate the prices, especially being in NYC. Excited as they bring a bigger footprint into the US.

They have the same jingle tune playing over and over which could definitely get a bit annoying, but they also have their cute mascot in the corner. I ordered a vanilla soft serve and bubble tea drink, which were great for the cheap price. The soft serve definitely has a different taste than what I expected, a soft creamy texture to it. The boba was good, but there wasn't a strong tea flavor. Overall, another good cheap boba chain that can hopefully stay in business.

Bubble bubble! Bubble tea! Quick on the go bubble tea! Had this in Vietnam and Taiwan before and this timesquare loc did not disappoint! Location: it is located along Koreatown, no seatings inside. You will notice it quickly due to their iconic Mixue mascot! Service: not much interaction, I just ordered on the kiosk and wait for my bubble tea. Food: I ordered their regular milk tea with boba and their chocolate soft serve. Their tea is very classic which I love, no extra flavorings like the other milk tea stores. Their soft serve is also delicious! Price rating: 4 out of 10. Very very cheap!! Around $5 for 1 bubble tea. And $2 for softserve! I will probably try their other flavors. And will always come back here!! read more
$1.19 soft serve!!! The vanilla cone was $1.19 while the chocolate and matcha were $1.69. The soft serve is pretty mid, but for the price you can't really complain. For those wondering I do find mcd cones better, but mixue's soft serve is less sweet and there's chocolate and matcha. There's also a tastier waffle cone! There's multiple kiosks to order from but also a cash register. The soft serve came out extremely fast! Havent tried their drinks yet but it's under/around $5! read more

The service here was so fast, I really was expecting it to be more hectic than it was. Pros- * just as everyone is saying- this place is CRAZY cheap. Like $1 for an ice cream cone, I don't think you could find a bottle of water for that price, or pretty much anything. * Service was also pretty quick even with a line, although the poor guys behind the counter look absolutely crapped out from cranking out what I imagine is a million $1 cones a day. Cons- * ice cream tastes pretty weird. Guess they gotta do something to it to make it that cheap. Waffle cone was decent though. * no seating/take out only. read more
Came here on a Saturday evening because we'd seen people eating their soft serve all over Herald Square. The restaurant is currently (?) takeout only, with tape across the stairs that lead up to seating. The line outside moved quickly and getting our ice cream was no problem. Although at 6pm on a Saturday they were out of napkins, and the staff seemed over it. The ice cream cones were certainly worth the dollar nineteen. Of note, there was no ice cream whatsoever inside of the nicely crunchy waffle cone. Once you ate the ice cream off the top, you had an empty cone. Honestly I blame that more on a worker that looked like he hated his job than what the chain specs, but who knows. read more
Came here with kids because they wanted to try again. The draw is extremely cheap soft serve ($1.69) and cheaper boba ($3.69). I think you get what you pay for- ice cream tasted more coconutty than dairy, and had a big hollow middle, as did the sundaes. Boba at 30% sweet was still pretty sweet! Crowded with young people- no surprise given the deal! read more
This spot, Mixue, has been open for a couple of months now and it's always busy, there is usually a line stretching way back with people waiting to order. Fast service. They serve bubble tea and ice cream, and I finally decided to try it. Pro tip, there is a barcode by the door to order ahead, which a lot of people seem to ignore, but it is way faster. My order came out to just $1.69, which honestly is not bad at all. I went with the matcha ice cream and was pleasantly surprised. It was not overly sweet, and the texture was firm, smooth, and perfectly cold. Simple, affordable, and worth trying, just do not sleep on the barcode ordering. read more
MIXUE is an absolute game-changer. This chain originally from China is actually the largest restaurant chain in the world by location count, and it's easy to see why they are successfully popping up here in NYC. In this economy, where so many places are normalizing boba at $10 or more, it is incredibly refreshing to find a spot that offers such affordable prices without sacrificing quality. You can get a solid boba for only $3.99, and their other teas and fresh lemonades are just $1.99! The star of the show for me, however, is their milk soft serve cone. At just $1.19, it is an absolute steal and absolutely delicious--creamy, refreshing, and thankfully not overly sweet, which is exactly how I prefer my desserts. The ordering process is super seamless and modern. You just punch in your order at the kiosks right as you enter, and they call your number when your items are ready. I love the concept, I love the unbeatable prices, and I completely love their soft serve. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area! read more
Summer is around the corner and I'm glad I came across this spot. The soft serves is definitely going to be a main event during this upcoming heatwave. Upon arriving there is usually a line (but moves quick) the line is for the kiosks to make the actual order, then the staff serves you pretty quickly, but can range from 1-15mins+ from ordering. There is alway a catchy music playing which lightens up the place. I recommend the matcha soft serve, a little more then vanilla but worth it for the taste read more
Children's music blasting loud plus images and marketing aimed at children. A long line going down the block, but there's no children in the line, so the ambience here is weird and dare I say, a bit creepy. The product is pretty good. read more

Mixue ice cream is pretty good. Even when there's a line, it moves pretty fast. Nice creamy taste that everyone approves of. They do have a song that keeps looping over and over. It's a 32 second song and at some point it starts to mess with your head a little. I asked a worker there if the song got to them, and they replied, "EVERY. SINGLE. DAY." Hahaha, I don't blame them for feeling that way, it's a hilarious silly song that burrows deep into your brain. The ice cream is pretty cheap and really good though. Yum. read more

Checked out another Mixue in the K-Town location. Came on a weekday about noon & it was a handful of customers. Not super busy. Ordered on the site and drink was prepared quickly. Got the oolong tea with 50% sugar since I've had at other locations. It was made consistently. Staff was friendly. Its just still too cold to eat their ice cream so I'm waiting to come back to try. Location is more of grab and go. No where to sit or stand to have your drink. There is an upstairs but was blocked off. Not sure was that meant to be seating. Very affordable prices. read more

My matcha soft serve costed about 2 bucks and it's actually so good!! The matcha flavor is strong, and taste grassy but it pairs well since it's an ice cream. For the price, it is soooooo worth it since the quality of the matcha isn't that bad. The service was really quick too. They like to get people in and out of the establishment, and they have an online order system or you can go in and there are about a couple of kiosks. They will text you and yell your number to let you know your order is ready. The ambiance is okay, but for a place that is focused on fast service and cheap prices then it makes sense. 4.75 stars. It's not line culture, there's a line because this shop doesn't have a lot of room for the line inside. The 4 ordering kiosks are just inside the door - or confusingly, the same line also goes to a cashier & customers seem to freeze not knowing where to go. I joined the line of about 6 people & got inside in just a few minutes. This business is efficient! Their menu is straightforward with a few different flavors oolong, jasmine green, mango + ice cream to make it interesting. It seems like their lemonade is popular & one of their only caffeine-free options. Of course had to try their soft serve ice cream. Total: $4.01. Actually really good quality, didn't expect this from a chain shop with such low pricing. The wait for the food was under 3-5 minutes. If you ordered ice cream you have to go to the end of the counter to pick that up when the ice cream guy calls your number. The lemonade is good! Tastes homemade - lemon, water, sugar, ice. I got 50% less ice & 70% sweet probably could have had 70% less ice and 50% sweet. The quartered thick muddled lemon slices in the cup are a nice touch. The matcha soft serve cone was also really good. It's a medium Matcha flavor, but after a while, your tongue gets cold so it's not like the flavor builds up with ice cream. The texture is like high-quality soft serve. It's not thick and Mr. frosty heavy and artificial, but medium and smooth. The waffle cone was also really fresh and just crispy enough. I'd wait again in line for this soft serve ice cream cone! The theme song is kind of annoying, hopefully they turned it down from online reviews and comments about it. They also had someone dressed up as Mr. King in the costume outside overall, I think local and tourists expected the line and the kind of theme park atmosphere, and waited pretty patiently. The waiting area fits about 15-20 people. I took my drink and ice cream across the street to the pedestrian plaza area. I think MIXUE [Mee-zyoo] has successfully joined a good international market & I can see why they've done so well in China (WHY aren't US Fast Food companies using better ingredients!). Across the street from the Herald Square Station. Bright red walls and big snowman logo, you can't miss it! Seeing that not too many people are inside, I know this is my chance to finally try the soft serve. Four kiosks are lined up side by side on the left towards the wall. Brightly lit LED menus with colorful pictures of each item are displayed on the overhead. If you wanna pay with cash instead, all you gotta do is just go up to the register and place an order. Fast service from okayish-polite staff. There're no seats as it's mostly a grab-and-go spot. You get the ice cream or drink, and then you leave for other customers to order. A cute life-size statue of Snow King (snowman mascot) is right by the entrance/exit of the store. You'll hear the Mixue theme song over and over again. Got myself a vanilla-flavored soft serve. Be careful that you don't grasp the cone part too hard because it will break easily and the bottom might start leaking/dripping. Costs $1.19 (11¢ tax) = $1.30 in total when paying in cash. Where else can you get soft serve this cheap in NYC? Cheaper than McDonald's too. Definitely not from Nana's Green Tea right across the street! Has a subtle hint of coconut as the flavor. It tends to lean more on the icier side instead of the really soft, fluffy texture. Ngl I like that better. Not too sweet at all which is a huge plus in my book. It is a basic waffle cone that's not stale. Appearance and taste wise are high quality despite how cheap it actually costs. I like how the soft serve looks exactly like the pic from the menu and social media in general. No false advertising there. Will stop by whenever I'm near/in Koreatown again. I most likely will not try their drinks because I dislike having huge chunks of ice in my drinks and no ice doesn't seem to be an option either. Overall, quick service at Mixue plus the soft serve is affordable + tasty. read more

Mixue is finally here! The infamous global chain from China has officially landed in the states, bringing its viral Snow King mascot and affordable treats with it. Known for having some of the cheapest prices in the city, their $1.19 soft serve is a total steal. I honestly couldn't resist it, and it tastes just as delicious as other more expensive soft serves I've had. However, I also tried the $4 milk tea and found it to be pretty mediocre. Next time, I'm sticking to the ice cream! It's the perfect spot for a quick, budget friendly dessert fix read more

Pearl milk tea (taro balls) - they were out of regular pearls but the taro balls were surprisingly good! Chewy and you can taste the actual taro. Tea was standard which since it's cheap is a compliment lol 2.75/5 read more

These are starting to pop up around the city and I absolutely love the concept. So inexpensive for an inexpensive product. Clearly they're capitalizing on boba and ice cream lovers alike. Definitely worth stopping in if you can avoid the lines. It's so cute inside. Love their mascot. read more
May 26, 2026: decided to drop by to get some ice cream, to my surprise it tasted good and their service was very fast even though had to wait on line. Will return in the future, can't be their price. In China they are number one. Visited with friends who had recommended to try their varieties of ice cream. read more
Mixue is crazy popular worldwide for a reason. They deliver on their product & it is much lower priced than at surrounding venues. I stood in line & ordered a Taro Ball Milk Tea. If you are not familiar with taro, it is sweet potato. I loved that you can request the degree of sugar added. I requested 50% of what is normal, & I thought it was perfect. The drink has taro tea, milk, & a lot of white boba beads that were chewy & delicious. Yum! read more

Don't be discouraged by the line! It goes by so quickly. They are like robotic at this point. I was able to get my order within 10 minutes of entering the store, and this included the wait of the kiosk. Try the pudding! It's so silky and adds so much to any drink! read more

Mixue has made a fan out of me!!! Apparently they went viral on TikTok and it makes sense why. I came here with a friend after going to eat in Ktown. We stopped here and I was pleasantly surprised to see that had bubble tea available from $3-5 and even lower prices for soft serve ice cream cones. Nowadays bubble tea costs $8-10 and doesn't even taste half as good as them and I feel their prices are as low as they are because the volume of people they sell to is significantly more than your average bubble tea cafe. When you come here prepare to wait in line for a little but pay attention because the workers do move relatively fast and your order will ready sooner than you think. I suggest you tip these workers because they work really hard and have to listen to the theme song on loop playing outside the storefront, probably cute as a customer but not as an employee. read more
