We try to eat here on a weekly basis, but for sure every 2 weeks. We love the food, but I just wish the chicken breasts could be grilled so they still have some moisture left in them. Every time we get a dish that consists of a chicken breast, either on a sandwich, or on top of a dish, or the entree itself, it is so very dry and tough because it is over cooked. I would think you could just use a thermometer to get the temp right and not have it be so very dry. Last visit was on 04/29/26 and we had both the Chickie Club, and Swiss Chicken. We both said we won't get anymore chicken breast unless they can figure out how to cook it so it isn't shoe leather. Again, we love this place and will continue to eat here, but sure hope they can learn how to cook the chicken. read more

My brother and sister in law live in Mutual and their son goes to Mechanicsburg. We were in town watching him play basketball and thought we would give this place a try. It's not a huge place. It's not tiny tho. There is a nice seating seat with couches and a bar to stand at and wait for a table. Didn't take long for a table on a Saturday night with 7 people. First thing I noticed was the whiskey selection. Wow. They had a cider on tap so I was happy. They have craft beer. Some local. So my husband was happy. They had a nice cocktail list too. I tried the sugar cookie martini. It was very sweet and creamy. For a starter we got the jalapeño poppers. Wow were they good. Very fresh and very delicious. For dinner I got the Cuban. It was one of the beat Cubans I've ever had. Smashed in a panini press. So good. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger and enjoyed it a lot. We both got texas taters as our side. They are chunked potatoes with Cajun seasons topped with nacho cheese and sour cream. Wow. Delicious. My sister in law got the black bean burger. It was gigantic. It was also very fresh. It was for sure house made and hand pattied. She said it was amazing. We will definitely pop in again. read more

We'd been in this place before just for a quick appetizer and drinks but today we decided to try the food! We got the buffalo wings, crawfish topped seasoned steak and Cajun shrimp pasta. Everything we had was awesome! The wings were crispy and had a great sauce to them! I'd definitely recommend. I had the shrimp pasta and I liked the garlic and spice flavor and that it wasn't a huge helping of pasta!! My husband got the steak and we are cautious about ordering steaks anywhere but the cook came out perfect and he couldn't stop talking about the flavor!! Of course we got some drinks and they were also well prepared. They have a buddy the elf cocktail that was a fun end to the meal!! The staff and the patrons were very nice and we will be back! We were thinking about heading to get food in Columbus today but was glad we didn't. Went for lunch the other day and had a traditional cheeseburger. Probably one of the best plain cheeseburgers I've ever had, the burger was fresh, juicy and well sized. The bun was toasted and the food came quick. Wife tried to Alfredo pasta which was good but the Alfredo sauce was not your typical sauce. They use a non traditional cheese(not sure what) in the sauce, I think, but it was very good. Would go back. I've passed this place a hundred times, but never went in. This time I was riding by alone, and noticed the lot was full. I figured that was a good sign, and it was. This place is pretty great. It was Friday after 5:00, an the place was packed, but the host got me seated at an inside table in a jiffy. They also have a nice outside patio area, but it was full. No worries, as the inside was cozy, clean, and they were playing classic rock videos on all the TVs. My waitress was a sweetheart, and she took good care of me. The menu includes apps, burgers, sandwiches, and full entrees, and they had two specials on offer as well. Since it was my first time I decided to go basic with a Philly cheesesteak and fries. I was not disappointed. The Philly was solid, and I'm a big fan of thick-cut steak fries. I had to skip the beer because I was on the bike, but they have a nice bar with a good selection of drafts. The buzz in the place was good, and I saw folks of all ages having a nice time. Considering all of this, and the fact that there isn't any worthy competition within 15-20 minutes, this place is going to do really well. I will definitely be back for more. A solid 5! read more

What a great discovery "off the beaten path" here in Mechanicsburg!! We've passed through this "sleepy" little town a few times, and this new (just about a year old...) location is a welcome surprise!! It seems to attract both a local and out of town crowd, and with good reason... Plenty of interesting, creative, well-prepared dining choices, reasonable prices, and good service, in a comfortable, if a bit tight/cozy setting. We luckily arrived early (about 5pm) and beat the busy Saturday night dinner crowd. Took our time checking out the dinner options, as there were LOTS of tempting choices. The waitress did NOT let us know about the specials, which sounded good, but we only heard about them when the couple next to us arrived. I chose a salad with an perfectly seasoned chicken breast, and the Mr. went with a cheeseburger and fries. While neither one of us went for one of the more interesting entrees, there are some great pasta, chicken, and beef entrees, as well as a good variety of sandwiches and apps., including some yummy looking "artisan" tacos. Their drink menu is massive, including TONS of local/regional bourbons, craft beers, and more. VERY popular, and we did feel a "bit" rushed as we finished our meal, but not anything too extreme. This place has amazing food! The service was good on the first visit on the patio. Very friendly server. My second visit here was a little questionable on the attitude of the bar server. She asked if we needed anything and after she left I asked for mayo and she wasn't too happy about that as she said " I asked you if you needed anything else". I will make sure next time I go back that I sit in the other servers area. I can see why the bar servers area was empty. The food is absolutely amazing here. It is nice to have an option in the area that isn't the same ol' down home cooking type of spot that you usually find in a small town. The space is modern & industrial, they have a good beer & cocktail selection and the food is great. We had some stuffed jalapenos to start. They were fresh and didn't taste like a freezer. I had the grilled cheese with pork and fries. The sandwich was tasty and was loaded with pork. They had creme brulee the night we were there, and it was very good as well. After seeing the reviews we decided to give this place a try. I ordered the ghost of SanFrancisco medium well. It was delivered medium rare. Server took it back and the edges looked done but the inside was still too pink. Also when put back together there was no thousand island so I had to ask for a side. Overall took about 3 bites and called it quits. I really think the server should have adjusted the bill but did not. Pork chops were just ok 3/10. Potatoes were fine but sons steak with white wine noodles was tough. Really wanted to love it but that wasn't the case. read more

I've heard rave reviews about this place but our experience was mediocre at best. Nachos for appetizer? Chips from a bag dumped on a plate with canned barely lukewarm nacho cheese, raw onion, jar jalapeño slices and some sour cream. I had the pork tacos. The pork was unseasoned and dry. Husband had a bacon cheeseburger, the burger was very tasty; but the fries came out after he was 3/4 of the way done with his burger ... how long does it take to deep fry some steak fries? ‍ We will probably give this place one more chance and hope this was an "off" day read more

This place was out of the way for us but my husband wanted to check it out based on some friends recommendation that live closer to it. It was cute, kind of an elevated diner vibe, lots of country music playing though but that wasn't too shocking. Service was great, our waitress was enthusiastic and nice even though it was toward the end of the evening. The food was like, ok. There was a wide range of stuff on the menu and my husband, who's a 25 yr kitchen vet, wondered aloud with me how they might be able to churn out that many different kinds of things. He ordered a burger and fries, I got a grilled mahi sandwich and fries, the kiddo got the bowl with mashed potatoes, corn, chicken nuggets, and brown gravy. The burger looked pretty epic, he was happy with it, but my fish was a pretty sad little filet that I broke in half and sat the pieces side by side so they'd almost cover the bun. The tartar sauce didn't really have any flavor and the fish unfortunately was pretty fishy tasting (I hate it when people say that bc it's fish, and I like fish but there's no other way to phrase it). Like it wasn't off but almost? Maybe frozen a little too long, not sure. The kids bowl was mash from potato pearls, he said, which made sense as the menu was a bit extensive to make mash fresh every day. She seemed to like it ok, I didn't taste it. The fries were really good, and we all agreed on that. My tummy was pretty unhappy later, not like food poisoning but maybe the fryer oil was bad. I dunno. All in all not likely to make the trip for it again but if you want a burger and you're in the area (and you like country music) I'd say give it a shot. read more

We decided to give this place a try, it's a cute little place. We ordered the medium(halfie) boneless wings , holy moly you get like 20+ wings!! We got half bbq Half buffalo and both were really good. Ordered burgers and fries and everything was good. Will come back many times. Can I just talk about the staff for a minute, very friendly and efficient. As soon as someone left a table they were on it to clean so they could seat someone quickly. Two people a man and woman (I assume the owners) were walking around making sure everyone had a good experience. Best wait staff/ owners/ hostess we have had in a while. read more

I find myself in Catawba often & never imagined that trendy little spot like Mixx 165 would open in nearby Mechanicsburg, but here we are. They've got a great spot right as you enter the sleepy little town where you can get great bar food and a nice mix of regional craft beers. The wings were reasonably priced and tasty. Nearby patrons had burgers and tacos, both looked good. We were there on a Saturday and they had live music. Service was great. To top it all off, the men's restaurant is adorned with a vintage photo my beloved Wrigley Field. Had the food given me food poisoning, I'd still probably find it in my heart to give them at least four stars... read more

Hidden gem in a small town. The food is great, servers are always smiling and more than willing to help with any questions you have. We stopped by at about 5:15 on a Friday a few weeks ago. It's a nice place, though a bit small. The new owners did an excellent job of refurbishing it. After walking inside the host guy said, "There will be about a 25 minute wait." I looked behind him and saw two, empty tables. I said, "It doesn't look like anyone is at those tables." He said, "Huh, I guess you're right. You can have one of those tables. Come this way." Was very odd. I am not sure what was up with that. I will give this place 5 stars only because they are the best around. The atmosphere is very modern industrially back an alley way kinda themed. Simple but effective. I actually wish the place was bigger as seating is limited along with a limited size parking lot. They are not the best place I have ever eaten but they are the best place in the area. It is typical bar food with burgers, brats, Reuben, etc. but the menu is extensive and the quality is stellar. I came with 7 people and everyone loved their food. On very picky things if I have to pick at them. For instance my fried egg that was on my burger was a little over cooked and the yolk did not run at all. My mother In laws burger was a little more cooked then the medium she asked for but that was fine. The flavor of everything was very good. My daughters chicken nuggets may be a little of a disappointment but any kid will eat them as they are still solid. The beer selection is not bad but still limited and since the place is new, I am sure will expend as this place is discovered. Overall, this place is well above average in any major city but not the best. In this town, it's the best. You will enjoy this place as long as the line is not too long and don't expect long hours. They close early because they are not in that big city. Maybe that will change with demand. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place. There were twenty of us that went after a funeral today. They were not expecting us and made all accommodations for us. Service was outstanding, on the spot, great food pronto and with all friendly caring service. A must must to stop in. Great whiskey/bourbon bar as well. A true gem in the Burg!
