BEWARE! Pray to the waitresses sales pitch for the pour your own tap gimmick for beers. They need to warn you ahead of time that the beers or are $10-$12 each for us 12 ounce glass of beer. You pay by the ounce maybe some of the other choices were even higher than one dollar per ounce. Ended up having three beers that cost $30 My total for a simple meal plus beers plus tax plus tip was $59 just for me myself For just simple bar, food and a couple beers. That's a little extreme in my book. I am from out of town and will unlikely never be back ever. I just wanted to warn anyone else.

We arrived and waited over 10 mins before we were acknowledged. Once they were ready to seat us the girl asked "will you be leaving by 630?" Considering it was almost 5 pm my response was "I guess it depends on how quickly the kitchen and staff move..." The food was decent. Not great, but not terrible. My husband said their wings were actually really good. Our kiddo got a burger and said it was average. I ordered their "nachos" which are just potato chips with toppings. They were just okay. Considering this place has been open for years and we just went last weekend, I don't think we'd return on the simple fact they're charging nearly $4 for a soda and we felt like the food portions were small for the price. It's not our vibe as we aren't frequenters of sports bars or drinking.

Cozy booths, dark wood, and a super laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect place to hang out with friends or just unwind after a long day. We couldn't pick just one appetizer... so we didn't. We went all in and ordered a few to share--fried pickles, potato skins, and the spinach artichoke dip. Everything came out hot and full of flavor, and the portions were generous enough for sharing (though we kind of wanted to keep them all for ourselves). Our server was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt super relaxed and welcoming. It's one of those places where you can just kick back, enjoy good food, and lose track of time in the best way. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu (I hear the fish and chips are legendary), but for now--if you're in the area, this place is worth the stop!

The "fluffy" omelette was very small and way over cooked. It was very salty and didn't match the description on the menu. The way the menu read it had a listed set of veggie ingredients and then a choice of protein. The way the menu described, the meat would be served with the omelette (it sounded like along side. The omelette came with the wrong meat and on the inside. The waiter did not return for a very long time to check in as he had switched to bar service for a little while. I ended up just eating what was served because it had already taken so long to get our food and no one was checking on us. When the bill came we paid it with a card and when it was brought there was a 3% charge for credit card (I know a lot of places have started doing this but it should be shared with patrons before they pay). Again, they also over charged for the discounted item. We did just pay and go because we had someplace to be and we were already late because everything g took so long. This was our 3rd try at the Syndicate and we just haven't been impressed with anything but the vibe. The vibe is the best thing about it. The food has always been mid and over priced at best. Sad - we really want to love it and have a nice brunch location for weekends.

I think there was maybe two other parties there; they open at 11 am on Saturdays, so they serve a later brunch than most. By the time we left, about 2 hours later, it was pretty full. Our gentleman server was young, but knew his stuff (didn't have to write anything down), polite, answered our menu q's and offered suggestions. I picked their Big Breakfast Bowl, and it was fantastic. Different flavor profiles than you run of the mill breakfast hash mesh-ups. The base-layer smashed spuds were perfectly soft with crisp edges. I'm not sure which sauce gave the orange coloring, the sausage gravy or their Shasta sauce, but together it was definitely one of the best sausage gravy get-ups I've had in my life. I loved the small sausage chunks; very happy it wasn't minced down to nothingness. I'm so glad Buckeye Lake has a genuine restaurant to brag about. I would love to go back and try their lunch/dinner menu. They have happy hour - drinks AND food items - from 4-6 Monday through Friday, along with daily drink specials Mondays-Thursdays. While I can't comment on the tastes, they have many appealing cocktails that sound intriguing. I will state prices are higher than average here. However, everything is homemade. So quality and quantity were spot on for my experience.
