    Complimentary ice cream for dessert
    Angelica C.

Great spot if you're looking for some great Japanese lunch specials! Went here with the family and we all enjoyed our food. I ordered the steak bento box and I was surprised to see so much food that came with it. I also love how it comes with soup and salad as well as a complimentary appetizer and dessert. I would love to have another visit here in the future.

6 piece sushi and roll combo

This is my new favorite spot for sushi in Katy! I went in for lunch and opted for the 6 piece sushi and roll combo, which came with assorted nigiri and a salmon roll. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was done perfectly. It was a great deal as well and the quality is superior in comparison to mid-level sushi spots! I appreciate the low key ambiance of this place - music is good and not too loud and the waiters are attentive but not overbearing.

I really love to come here when I'm craving udon. I get the vegetable udon with a side of pork chasu. Be careful when it comes out because it is boiling hot. But when it cools down it's really good! It has that umami flavor that you're looking for. The servers are really nice and sweet, it's always the same two girls I see lol. No lie I was scared trying this place out at first as it's kind of hole in the wall; but it exceeded my expectations immensely of how clean and how good it is. I haven't tried their sushi or their ramen but I will someday! :)

Such a beautifully decorated restaurant The staff was very pleasant and helpful Our lunch was delicious served with soup and salad. They served us complimentary cheese rolls which was a nice treat. My sushi rolls were really delicious!

Though the reviews indicate that this restaurant is known for its sushi, we went there in search of ramen, and were not disappointed in our find. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, the spicy tonkatsu ramen, and the steak ramen with extra garlic. Also, edamame for an appetizer. The service was quick and friendly. We were there about an hour before closing, and it was almost empty. The location of the restaurant is such that I had never seen it before, even having driven past it more than a few times. This may account for the small number of customers we saw, or it could have just been a strange time - 8 PM on a Sunday night. I will be going back soon to try their sushi!

*SUPPORT LOCALS* Small and friendly place. Great food and prices too! Sushi was fresh! What got me was the Shrimp Ramen! Never had "shrimp paste" in japanese ramen before but it actually works!! Such an interesting dish and it tasted GREAT! Oh and they offer free "appetizer" (2 fried cream cheese sticks) and desserts (either green tea ice cream or mint chocolate ice cream) Very friendly staffs!

This place was amazing. I came here for an early bday dinner with a friend on Friday evening. They seated us right away. The ambiance is very chill and relax, staff was very friendly. My friend and I ordered several appetizers: baked mussels, hotate butter, and scallops. All of them were amazing, but the mussels by far were my favorite. I also ordered sushi: Mt. Fuji, Angry Roll, and Tiger Eye Roll. It took some time to get our sushi, but it was worth the wait. They served it on a little ship, which I thought was cool. Every roll was well constructed and tasteful. I especially loved their Mt. Fuji. It looked like they were understaffed, but even at that they were still attentive to all the customers. We topped off dinner off with dessert: japanese ice cream red bean flavor was delicious. I would highly recommend this place and definitely plan to go back.

We had the Chirashi and both 3 roll platters for my daughters birthday. Everything was good and came out quickly. Fried cheese rolls were provided as an appetizer for no cost. We always go eat early when we go out, around 4:30-5:00 PM to avoid crowds, so there was only 1 other family eating when we were there. Good food, good service.

Ordered a rainbow roll and a spider roll for delivery. Spider roll tasted rancid. Tuna in the rainbow roll had brown edges. I tossed the whole order.

My husband and I came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon after seeing the great yelp reviews. We both ordered the chicken hibachi lunch special (chicken, fried rice, veggies, miso soup & salad). It was a great amount of food for 10.95. The Hot Papa roll was absolutely amazing!!!!!

NY roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. Both were good.

I haven't been here since it reopened and I was pleasantly surprised by the new decor and I enjoyed my meal. I went on an Thursday for an early dinner with my daughter. It was empty, but people started to trickle in as dinner time came around. I like places that do the little extra things for their customers. Here they give you a small fried appetizer(fried cream cheese sticks) and free ice cream at the end of your meal. Today the ice cream was coconut or green tea. My daughter had vegetable udon. It came with a ton of steamed veggies on top. She really only eats the noodles and soup. She ate all her noodles. I wanted something with spicy tuna and notice the NY Roll had spicy tuna and fried soft shelled crab, so gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with my choice and enjoyed all of it. Spicy tuna roll was pretty standard but the portion was pretty big. Everything tasted fresh and came out relatively fast. This isn't a fancy sushi place, but more of your regular local spot with prices that are reasonable. A place I can visit and satisfy a quick sushi craving on this side of town.

Can I give this place 10 stars? My niece and I had a taste for sushi and we tried our best to figure out where we were gonna go and with the help of Yelp, we landed at Miyabi and I am SO HAPPY we did. Upon arrival, we were greeted and there were a few ppl sitting and eating so we chose to stay and eat in. The waitress got to us quickly and she was very very sweet and I wish I had her name to recognize her. My niece had the Tiger Roll which was very good and I had the sexy mama roll *Chefs Kiss*!!! You guys have got to get to this place! I can't wait to get back here!!!

I was very surprised. And my broth was so delicious. It had such a rich umami flavor due to the miso & I thought the spice level was perfect. Honestly - I could eat jhst that broth for a whole meal. Unlike buldak or some other spicy ramens - the main selling point wasn't the spice. You could get an additional "spice bomb" if you wanted some more heat. The ramen toppings were good but not outstanding - same with the noodles. I thought the "mi-so-hot" was easily 3x better than "the og". The broth in "the og" was pretty interesting and more unique tasting. It felt like the main notes were just umami, pork, and oil. Not bad, but felt like it was missing a little something to make it truly good. If I had just got the OG, I'd rate this place a bit lower - but as it stands I'd 100% come back here for the "mi-so-hot" The interior was pretty nice. It was more "communal style seating" with a couple of big tables. There is also some smaller booths. It's an "order at the counter" type restaurant as well. I saw several comments about parking & was a bit concerned when driving over. I know that part of westheimer is always packed! But there is an attached parking lot & at 3pm on a Sunday, there was plenty of parking! Also - there is some street parking in the neighborhood north of the shop. Overall - will 100% be coming back for some more spicy ramen. Would recommend

Sushi Flight (6 Pieces, 4 Flavors) - Somehow 1,050 calories??? - Raw Salmon x2 - Strangely, I would have liked this colder. It was just okay. - Cooked Salmon x2 - I liked this a lot more than the raw salmon because it had a deeper flavor. - Scallops - Probably my favorite thing on this platter because of the smokiness they imbue with the torching. The sweet aftertaste was definitely worthwhile. - Shrimp - Not as fresh as I would have liked, as someone who's eaten a lot of shrimp, but I still liked the taste. Still, pretty mediocre. Tantan Tsukemen - Very interesting broth. Potent, salty, and full of bold flavor. My friend swapped the pork for chicken, and the chicken worked really well with the broth. They serve the chicken as a cold cut. This is a double-noodle dish with a soy milk-based dipping sauce. I normally would have ordered this because I LOVE tantan ramen, but I had to forgo it for the limited-time Creamy Truffle Ramen. Creamy Truffle Ramen - LOVED the broth. It was very light and creamy. I actually liked this a lot more than tonkotsu ramen. The truffle wasn't too overwhelming--just mild enough to hint at its flavor without becoming the only flavor profile you get. Truffle is like baking with rose water; finding that balance is quite hard. I will admit the whole table smelled like truffles, though. The torched king oyster mushroom paired wonderfully with the dish, and the broccolini was an equally interesting topping choice. I also found bits of melted Parmesan throughout the ramen, which the menu listed as an ingredient. The egg wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was still a decent soy egg. As I kept eating, the truffle oil became more intense, and the fattiness started to get a bit overwhelming without washing it down with water. Great flavor overall, but I think this dish is best paired with an appetizer to help cut through the richness. One of my favorite things about this place, which my BF mentioned, was the noodle texture. I noticed it too as I ate--a good bite with a slick texture that was just starchy enough to cling to the broth. We had leftover noodles from the Tantan Tsukemen at the end of the meal and ended up using the Creamy Truffle broth as a dipping sauce. Honestly, no regrets. The cold noodles didn't work quite as well in this dish, but the broth was definitely a banger. This was also the first ramen broth I couldn't finish but desperately wanted to bring home. (Obviously, I did.) Their to-go containers are surprisingly sleek, too. It's a weird thing to compliment, but I almost wanted to keep the container as much as the broth. Special comment on the utensils here--the soup spoons are ridiculously cute! Would love to have a similar set at home. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was thoughtful. The music wasn't too loud, and it wasn't that crowded for a Saturday night. They do play a lot of popular Japanese songs, so if you're an international music enthusiast, you'll appreciate hearing "Mayonaka no Door" by Miki Matsubara.

One waitress served everyone in the restaurant while I was there. She was speedy in taking and delivering orders. She seemed very nice! Food: ordered Tonkotsu Gachi and my mom ordered the yuzu. Food arrived very quickly, though we ordered no appetizers. The tonkotsu broth was rich and velvety in texture, but more like a mild umami in flavor. The chashu pork was pale, but melt in your mouth buttery and bursting with savory pork goodness! The marinated egg wasn't brought up to temperature with the broth -- a little cooler than room temperature, with a medium oozy yolk. It felt like the marinade penetrated all through to the yolk -- it was great! I welcomed the novel choice to use red onion over the usual scallions. It was a nice touch of color and brought in that bright, juicy onion flavor that I crave. Noodles were perfect texture. Not too hard or mushy. This bowl feels made to focus on the broth and flavor and not so much an instagram post. Delicious!! My only complaint was a very very very slight bitterness in the background. I couldn't pin where it was coming from. Maybe that's a risk of simmering bones for so long. I'll keep this short because I couldn't just eat my moms bowl... The Yuzu shio broth was clearer, with bright, citrusy, and savory body. The bamboo shoots were golden (grilled?) with a little snap to it. Reminds me of a king oyster mushroom. This is really a unique broth and I haven't had anything like it. You should definitely try it! Restaurant: clean, neat, every table literally has its place /orientation. Deep wood furniture, honeyed lighting, and dark window shades give the restaurant a cozy chic ambience despite visiting around noon. Good food, great service. Great prices. Large portions.
