First things first, they have plenty of parking. The decor is very cute! Very Japanese and modern, loved it! The food was outstanding! We ordered jalapeño yellowtail and edamame for appetizers and I liked both so much! My roll was Rocky shrimp roll and my daughters roll was Yummy roll, definitely loved both rolls, they were so fresh and tasty! My family ordered filet mignon habachi, chicken habachi and salmon habachi and they all loved it as well. Place was clean and service was fine. Don't be fooled by the pretty presentation. The actual dish I got was pretty egregious. I ordered the chicken tempura bento box thinking it would be similar to chicken katsu. However I got 3 little 1 cm thick chicken breast slices drenched in batters and oil. It came with one deep fried broccoli, one deep fried sweet potato slice, 1 deep fried zucchini slice, and 1 deep fried onion ring. Very greasy, unappetizing and just tasted like I was eating oil flavored paper towels. The side salad was just iceberg lettuce with a chicken sauce, which wasn't terrible, however looked like vomit. Very unappetizing. Lastly the fried rice was super plain and just not yummy at all. I didn't say anything at the restaurant because I don't want to cause a scene, however paying $20 for this absolute abomination should be illegal lol Miso soup was okay just lacked more toppings (barely had tofu/green onion, seaweed Overall this dish would be perfect for people who are on a mission ti clog their arteries and have a heart attack as soon as possible. read more

Really good experience -- we'll be back! We had a great time at Yamato. The place was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered quite a bit -- bento box, shrimp tempura, chicken hibachi, steak & lobster hibachi, filet mignon hibachi, and tonkotsu ramen -- and honestly everything tasted fresh and well-cooked. The hibachi meats were tender and flavorful, the tempura was crispy, and the ramen had a nice rich broth. Portions were generous too. Overall just a relaxing, enjoyable dinner. OMG what an incredible experience I had. The food is fresh and delicious. I really like that you have an option to eat a single meal or all you can eat, The all you can eat is a trick, because they will charge you for the food that you waist or want to take home on top of the price you pay for the all you can eat option. Amazing vibe once inside. This Japanese Restaurant would be packed in a prime location. Really enjoyed the food. The quality was really good and the temperature came out steaming. Came here a week ago with my family and otw as pretty good! To start, we ordered the crab Rangoon and the spring rolls. The spring rolls were absolutely delicious, the crab Rangoon was good, but it was filled with a lot of cream cheese, I could barely taste the crab. Next we ordered the hibachi filet and I won't lie, at first the meat had a weird, gamey taste but my husband said that's good meat. Just a different taste for me. My husband got a strawberry milkshake that had milk but it was pretty good! There's no actual hibachi that you sit at, they cook it off to the side but the portion size was really good! I really think this is a much needed gem for the 529-Copperfield-outside Katy area. We live nearby and received their menu in the mail. I was really intrigued because the pricing seemed awesome, selection sounded good, there was a small kids hibachi menu which means: it's close by, it's something different and is welcoming for kids to come. It's decorated so cute inside. Numerous parasol umbrellas hang from the ceiling, the booths have a fun tile surround, the music was fun, tvs were on. I think someone in ownership came by with a pair of training chopsticks for my son which was so sweet and my son thought was so special. The hibachi was delicious! Onion/mushroom soup, yummy salad with a citrus ginger dressing, and the fried rice with your protein selection. It does not come with a show which is good with us because we're here for the food! This place had been on my list since I saw the "opening soon" sign, and it did not disappoint! Came here this past Saturday, and loved it! My fiancé and I started with some waters with lemon and I ordered a mango green tea which was very tasty. I added the regular tapioca to it. For an appetizer I opted for the teriyaki wings (I say "I" because she didn't eat any) which were big and the taste was solid. For the main course I ordered the imperial dinner (chicken, steak and shrimp) which comes with a side salad, soup, and fried rice. I opted for the onion soup. Everything was delicious!! The portion on the main plate was huge too. I took the rest to go which I never do, especially with a post-workout meal. My fiancée ordered the filet and shrimp combo which she loved and also took the remainders to go. She commented on how the steak was cooked very well. We ended up with some free chocolate ice cream as they advertise on the table that you can get this for free if you leave a google review. We were going to leave a review anyway so I the ice cream was a plus. She had mentioned when we walked in that there was an off smell, but that was quickly forgotten once we started eating. Our server Andy was really laid back and attentive, so shout out to him! Side note: if you want yum yum sauce you can ask for it but it doesn't come with the food. Went on a Saturday. The place was nice and clean. Our server was very friendly. We ordered sushi, Chicken and steak combo hibachi, and kids chicken hibachi. Also edamame for appetizer. The hibachi was very good. My wife didn't like the sushi. I'm not a sushi person so I didn't try it. Everything else was good though. A new restaurant in our area, so 4 of us decided to give it a shot. Their buildout on this restaurant is very nice, I was surprised at the numerous upgraded finishes. We were seated quickly, by a friendly host. Our server introduced herself promptly & got our drink order. Drink menu was small but they had many good sakes & Japanese beer to choose from and boba tea for the adultish children, so everyone was happy. We ordered from their regular menu & their specials menu. 2 apps, (a sushi pizza thing with spicy tuna & fried octopus ball doohickies, both were very yummy) sushi, rolls, hibachi & a bento box, so a varied order. Service was outstanding. Their lunch specials were very good and didn't break the bank. We are not Sushi fanatics, the Philadelphia Roll and the California Roll being our favorites. The Hibachi specials at lunch are for two people. As my husband prefers Lo Mein noodles, they were substituted for the rice with no problem.
