I thought the front lug studs needed to be replace but after a quick inspection, they let me know that everything was ok! I recently bought a 2013 used 2nd Gen Toyota Tundra. I wanted to make sure all the proper maintenance was up to date, and also get a pre-purchase inspection done with a reputable Toyota Mechanic, and many of my friends kept telling me about Miyaki Motorsports being "Thee independent Toyota mechanic of SoCal" especially among the overlanding and off road community. I even ran into a colleague who was getting his LEXUS serviced at the same time, so that really instilled confidence in me right away. I came in this recent Friday and needed to get a list of things done. The pricing was more then reasonable and the lady up front at the desk was very nice to me, and very helpful in understanding what I should get done. After a short while I got my call back and the truck was ready. What I appreciated the most from my experience was the honesty in Miyaki Motorsports, which seems to be a consistent theme in other reviews. I was happy to hear my truck was in really good condition and a lot of the work I had asked to get done was not necessary so they ended up not doing some of the work I had requested, they even did the PPI and did not charge me for it. Honesty is probably one of the hardest things to find when finding a quality mechanic, and that display of honesty from Miyaki to me will make me a customer for life moving forward, not only do they know their stuff, they won't take advantage of customers. Ryan and crew are honest, efficient, and professional. If you want to get an oil change here than come early, before 9am. You'll get in and out in about 15-20 minutes. After 9am, this shop focuses on repairs. Ryan has been servicing all my cars from a 2014 MDX to my more recent 2020 Lexus. He's been doing it all. I had my dad's Avalon towed here when it broke down on the side of the road. Ryan found that it was caused due to a loose connection with the car battery. In this instance, any mechanic could have made false claims that this or that needed to be fixed but ryan was honest and sent me home. I called in to get an inspection on my car because there was some major issues (such as overheating, check engine light, vsc stability control). I was able to walk in and get an OBD2 scan and they were able to diagnose the issues easily. My car's transmission module was fried and there was a recall. The lady was very helpful and straight to the point on my options and advised me not to get a replacement $1k for the transmission module since I already have 340k mileage (2007 Toyota Rav4) hahaha... And recommended a trade in to a car dealership instead to get something back at least. Needed a lift kit and wheels installed on my new 2023 Toyota Sequoia and everyone I asked pointed out Miyaki Motorsports. Called and talked to Vicky and she was super informative. A little bit of a wait but since all I talked to highly recommended them I decided to give them a shot. On such a new truck I didn't expect them to know much info on it but to my surprise Vicky knew all. She took all the info of what exactly I had to put on from wheel size to tire size and calculated all the work needed to be done. Apparently they work on a lot of new 2023 up sequoias. What closed the deal was their reasonable prices for everything! Way cheaper than everyone else. Through the day I got random pics sent to me and by the afternoon got a call that the truck was ready. Ryan the tech gave me the rundown when I went to pickup the truck and did tell me he test drove the truck and made sure nothing rubbed or squeaked. Awesome service from these guys try them out if you need aftermarket parts installed on your trucks. Ryan at Miyaki is very knowledgable about Lexus GX. My radiator had a minor hairline crack and was seeping coolant ina very small amount when i noticed it. I thought the last thing i wanted to do was to have it blown in the boondocks miles away from civilization. They hooked up the repairs at a reasonable cost.
