I had the Spider roll, which has tempura soft shell crab. We ordered a crab wonton appetizers, which was hot and fresh. We both enjoyed our rolls and the customer service was good. She was very attentive. She brought napkins and gave refills without being prompted to do so, and she had a nice demeanor. They lost a star with the furniture. It needs to be updated. Good good, better than last time. Service is sometimes optional that could have been due to no workers which isn't the restaurants fault. Only had one problem when bartender said we had to wait to get drinks for a server and there were no servers available. The girl we were celebrating never got her drink.‍. What an amazingly great place here in Columbia, while visiting from NYC Miyo's is my go to spot for delicious, fresh Manhattan like quality. We regularly enjoy the Thai Beef with its crisp vegetable accompaniment of green beans and asparagus, their sushi rolls are perfect and fresh tasting. On Christmas Eve our family tradition is to eat Chinese which until this year meant Sun Ming. But this year I forgot to make reservations in time - so plan "B" was Miyo's. We were not disappointed - the meal was great! I had the Crispy Flounder which was really good. Our experiences at Miyo's over the years never disappoint. This was our first time here in a while. Apparently they remodeled recently and transformed from a dimly lit darker ambience to now a light fresh and clean design. It pairs perfectly with the consistent quality of beautifully arranged meals. Last night I chose shrimp with a variety of fresh veggies tossed in a brown garlic sauce. Naturally delicious and satisfying with zero guilt. We left feeling full and content. The service is exceptional as the staff is relaxed, friendly and attentive. Miyos is one of my favorite Chinese and Japanese restaurants in Columbia. If you want a huge meal at a buffet, go down the street. If you want pretty good Chinese, there's a few around. If you want the best Chinese, made with really fresh ingredients that's always good, then stop at Miyos. The dishes are always good. The sauces are rich and subtle, and the tempura is light and delicate. This Miyos had a very modern look inside, and has a GREAT area to sit outside (covered). read more

I'm giving 4 stars for the cucumber mojito, which was delicious. I still finding myself dreaming about it sometimes. The sushi was good. Not great, but good. I got the M Cafe and the Green Dragon, and I'd say the M Cafe was better. The seaweed salad was a little chewier than the norm, but it was still good. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied the spring rolls was on point, but the mustard sauce was unusual. I also ordered a side of vegetable fried rice which was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, English is not their first language and the combination makes understanding this server difficult. The dining room floor was filthy on my last visit. She kept our glasses full, delivered our items quickly, and checked back on us often. But, once we paid our checks, she was done with us. She didn't come back once to see if we needed more water or to follow up. We were a group of six and sat and chatted for a while. An exceptional server would have come back after the checks were finalized to check back. I was a little miffed that once money happened she was done with us. The restaurant was clean, airy, and spacious. We all ordered a variety of items, including he Shashimi sampler, Mongolian beef, varying sushi rolls, and Pad Thai. All-in-all, this was a very good experience and would have received five stars if it weren't for the server's neglect after we settled up. Came to this place via word of mouth. My husband ate her with his parent's and my mother in law held a surprise birthday party for her aunt here a few months back and they thoroughly enjoyed everything about the restaurant. The place is clean, chill, and conveniently located. Their menu is diverse and their food is top notch. I ordered the chicken satay with peanut sauce. Best chicken satay and peanut sauce I've ever had. It had two kabobs with four generous sized pieces of chicken on them. The peanut sauce was so creamy and authentic tasting. On top of this, I ordered the crab Rangoon. You get five with two types of sauces. Delicious!! The staff was so friendly and the owner/manager was polite when I asked about the food on another diner's plate (teriyaki salmon, which he said they sell a lot of).. this will be what I order next when I come to Columbia. My husband had the shrimp fried rice and it was a hefty portion as you can see from the pictures. I love the vibe of this place with R&B playing and a nice courtyard view with palms. I went to miyos about a year ago and got a pick-up dinner of mango chicken. When I got home, I saw that the mango was rotten. It looked rotten, it felt rotten and it tasted rotten. There is no way whoever cut it up didn't know it was rotten, but they served it anyway. I was too far away to go back so I boycotted them for a year. Tonight, I decided to go back and ordered a rice noodle dish for pick-up. I got home and it was flour noodles. I called and told them I was coming back. When I got there, no one had started the replacement. Did anyone offer me a beer while I waited? NO Did anyone offer me a soda while I waited? NO Did anyone offer me a glass of water while I waited? NOOO I got my replacement and the box was only 2/3 full. Nobody said sorry for the mix-up. Nobody said sorry for the wait. Nobody said sorry you had to drive all the way over here again. So disappointed! Haven't been here in 2 years because it had gone so far downhill. Was hoping Michelle was listening and had made major improvements on the food QUALITY. I got the Kung Pao chicken (used to be my favorite)... sad to report it was WORSE than it was when I quit getting food from here :( The sauce was gross & thick, like the chicken was suspended in jello!! I tried to scrape it off of each piece but it was too thick!! AND It tasted like a sauce from a jar, not a higher priced Asian restaurant!! The sauce used to be the BEST part!!! I've tasted better Asian food in frozen meals from the grocery store!! Such a shame and disappointment. Go to Antai restaurant in Lexington if you want really amazing Asian food!
