Teriyaki salmon with garlic green beans

The food was good. We also had the bacon wrapped shrimp which should have had a Mandarin orange sauce, but instead was yum-yum sauce. However, there were lots of veggies on the plate, too and could have been enough for an entree. The entrees pictured below were ample and tasty. The waitress was awesome. The downside, we had an annoying fly buzzing the table almost the whole meal.

Nice place by our hotel. Had the hot and sour soup and Thai basil with chicken. Soup was good and my dish had all white meat and fresh asparagus and pea pods. The fried rice was bland and overcooked the beer was served in frosted glasses our server was very good.

I really enjoyed what I had at lunch on a Saturday. My lunch sushi plate came with the Green Dragon for a $2 upcharge, but I absolutely loved this sushi. It came with a ginger salad, which was big enough to share with someone and I really liked it too. We ordered egg drop soup, which was also good and only cost $2 each. The pork dumplings were pan fried but was not my favorite & JA thought they were just ok too. JA didn't love her Shanghai noodle, but that's just her personal preference. My friend ordered the spice on the side for her Phat Thai noodle & we still thought it was a bit too saucy for our taste. K liked his lunch sushi plate & JA discovered she likes raw tuna & other fish sushi. I thought the deluxe fried rice was really good even though we were too full to eat it all. K had some seaweed salad on the side of his sushi which JA & I love. The service was good and this is a cute place.

The food was so good. I got some that were a little spicy but very tasty. Vegetables aren't fully cooked (I didn't mind that but just wanting to let you all know) The staff was very friendly, they checked in on me a couple of times to make sure I was enjoying the food or if I needed more water. I think this place is great for lunch with friends or a lunch date. The food gets pricier for dinner. Overall I enjoyed my experience and will return again

I enjoyed this place. Service was quick which was great because I was there with a large group. Very pleasant experience. I ordered the beef kabobs which were delicious.

What happened to this place? Szechuan beef was all peppers, salad was literally all tomatoes and tuna tartare was warm and not fresh. Been coming here for years but won't be back. I was wondering why every place was packed on Harbison but this place. Seems like people are realizing.

The sushi is about as good as you can find in small town Columbia, SC. I've had better in NY, San Francisco... but nowhere local.

JJ's Tea House has been a staple for years and I am so glad I finally got a chance to try them…read more Their pork based broth is so flavorful and perfectly balanced. Their noodles have a great texture to them and make their soups absolutely standout from the rest. The shrimp bao buns have great texture and flavor! The staff is friendly and the service is quick! I had my order to go but the interior is nice. You can tell it's a mom and pop shop and it truly feels like someone's grandmother is making the food back there. I'm looking forward to my next visit to dine in!

JJ's Tea House is one of my favorite lunch spots in Columbia! We stopped by on a Monday afternoon…read moreand it wasn't too busy. Service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--especially thanks to the owner, who is absolutely adorable and always greets guests with a big smile. I ordered the unagi rice bowl, and it was amazing. The eel was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of char--and the sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory. The steamed egg is one of my favorite sides. We also tried the crispy tofu appetizer and the popcorn chicken rice bowl. The tofu was super crispy and flavorful, though the popcorn chicken could use a touch more seasoning. To top it all off, I had a green tea with boba, and the boba was cooked perfectly as always--soft and chewy with just the right texture. Highly recommend JJ's for a cozy lunch with delicious food and friendly service!
