We stopped in during the St Pete 2nd Saturday Art Walk, which is really a MUST DO event. So many great galleries and shops to see in so many interesting neighborhoods. We parked by this gallery and stopped in on our way to Central Ave. They had pro sports team art by a local artist and some nice Carlton Ward photographs upstairs. He's a National Geographic photographer and has particpated in the missions up through Central Florida to highkight the areas natural features and advocate for conservation. Very friendly and helpful lady working at the gallery. They had a vintage early 70s pinball machine for sale that they let us play. :) All good.

Each gallery selects its own closing time, apparently, so we arrived before 8:00 at the Morean and were told that they were closing in ten minutes. At Florida Craft Art, the two women working literally turned their back on us (we're over 50- eeeeek!) and would not speak, so I was unable to buy the stained glass piece that caught my eye. After trying three of the six galleries, we'd had enough. Really disappointed.

I stopped in after having lunch to take a look around and it is super cool with some really great pieces. Some that were super unique and fun. I was greeted right away and then was given space to look around and take pictures. I kinda forgot that I was in a gallery and not a museum because honestly some of the pieces could be in one. I asked about dimensions on one piece or a series of three pieces and then was given the price and a card with their information if I had any additional questions once I went home to check my space size.

Omg this was an amazing afternoon exploring the Dalì Museum! My niece and I had a blast. The…read morearchitecture alone is a visual treat. First stop is the theater on first floor to get a brief history of Dalì. Then elevator to third floor for the exhibit room and a virtual reality headset experience (comes with admission just a short line waiting for one of the three seats). The gallery was very busy, but we managed to wave around the people to see the art in the main gallery. Oh wonderful then across the other side of the museum was a special exhibit with Giacameti sculptures and Dali. Then we were out to the dome to see the projected media experience for 35 minutes. It was such a fun afternoon spent three hours and probably could've taken a couple more. That was a nice café. I went on to try in a great gift shop worth visiting. Really wonderful experience I highly recommend it to anybody that's familiar with Dalì's work or just learning. They do a great job explaining it all. Tip get admission tickets online in advance. Line was out the door so I bought tickets while standing in line then zipped thru the other side for folks with tickets. Saved me 15 minutes! Also from the desk I could buy the Dome multimedia ticket before it sold out. Fantastic day at this museum!

A nice art co-op in down town St. Pete…read more I walked in because the door was open and it was cooler in there than it was on the street. The walls were covered with the art of approximately 20 different artist in many different mediums. From photo to photo-realism, pontilism and ceramics, there were so many different styles offered. One of the most unique ones I remember is the woman who painted with invisible (black light visible) ink. For the most part the paintings looked one way, but if you shined a black light on them, they came to life with another dimension. Yes, I made a purchase, a pen and ink drawing, simple pointillisim work on white. Absolutely stunning and very inexpensive.
