My recent experience was disappointing, and I would advise against purchasing gift certificates for this establishment. Despite scheduling a 60-minute massage a week in advance, communication was poor--I had to follow up via email as calls were not answered. On the day of my appointment, I was instructed by text to wait in my car until called. After waiting past my scheduled time, I entered the building and was met with an unfriendly reception. I was told my massage time would be reduced by 10 minutes due to being "late," despite following their instructions. I said, look at your camera you can see I have been in my car more than 20 minutes early for my appointment. I was then informed by a staff member they only saw a truck which I stated I was in VW bug on the other side of the truck! The time was rushed; I didn't even have my clothes all off before the masseuse barged back into the room. My requests for specific areas to be addressed were ignored several times. The staff were not welcoming, and the environment was not relaxing either. This wasn't the experience my friend hoped for when she gave me a certificate to mark my eight years cancer-free. Unfortunately, I made sure to contact my friend who gave me the gift certificate and tell her about bad experience. I will not return and do not recommend Barefoot Wellness in Prince Frederick, MD. If you're considering Annapolis, I recommend visiting one of the Wellness Houses there. You'll be treated well and leave feeling renewed.

They mostly seem to be about the doctor's "bedside manner." ....He did seem to come across with an unusually high air of self confidence. It was noticeable. But he was nothing but pleasant, kind and patient explaining the procedure and answering any question during all of our appointments. His assistant was very nice, and answered all of my questions very well. Additionally, I let the assistant and Dr. Dohman know that I just had blood drawn at my doctor's office in my right arm the day before, so I'd prefer the IV needle go in my left arm. The assistant says that Dr. Dohman "does the arm closest to him". I'm already feeling on the edge because of this procedure, and then he immediately does exactly what I DON'T want him to do, which is PUTTING THE IV IN MY RIGHT ARM. Granted, he did end up putting the IV in my right hand, but he still ripped off my bandaid where I had blood drawn the day before, and puts on the rubber band tightly to look for spots to inject after I said I wanted it done in my left arm, and then starts telling me that getting injected by a needle in my arm is an "irrational fear", which isn't something you should be telling a patient who's a paying customer. I have always been afraid of getting needles put in my arm and he belittled me and made me feel like my fears don't matter, which, again, is terrible bedside manner. Then I talk to my dad about this situation and turns out he's seen Dr. Dohman too, and he was very arrogant and again, no bedside manners to be seen. Don't go to this doctor if you want to feel belittled by him. His assistants were very sweet, but he isn't. Also, I'd like to add on that he is experienced and knows what he's doing, and so far I'm healing pretty well from my wisdom teeth extractions. I just don't like being belittled by a grown man.
