Three houses in our gated community were broken into on the same day! We decided to move quickly on getting estimates for installation of cameras and motion activated floodlights around our house. Couldn't be happier with Min's service. I called late last night with a blown breaker and damaged subpanel. He was very patient on the phone trying to understand the issue. He got all the parts ready in the morning before showing up to replace the subpanel. He was very knowledgeable and his work was neat. He even covered up the wall that he had to open to access the wire, and cleaned up nicely. I've seen and heard electrician don't take care of any patch up work. I forgot to take a picture of the wiring before he closed up the panel cover. But it's awesome work. I felt very comfortable to have him work on my electrical. His price is very reasonable as well. Extremely nice guys. I was about to upgrade my entire electric panel. The job was quoted for $3500 plus $300 to patch wall. I called MK and wanted an independent opinion. They came really fast and did a thorough inspection and found a burn mark on the base of the circuit breaker. It only cost $500 to replace. What a relief! I also called MK for a small incident. They came and reset a button but did not charge a dime. I will always use them from now on. read more

Probably one of the most honest and quick professionals we've ever had in our home to perform any repair. Super impressed by Min's ability to talk with me about our electrical problem and give a hypothetical diagnosis and ballpark estimate over the phone. Of course nothing is certain until he can come and physically see. Called Min in the morning and had our electricity back by that evening. He squeezed our work into his day, last minute. He was even courteous when the job he was at before our house, was running late on inspection and called to notify us that he was running late and gave me a new time frame for his arrival. He repaired over 20 outlets (had to really troubleshoot 2 problem outlets), our breaker box and installed a new light fixture in our bathroom in under an hour and he didn't charge an arm and a leg. My original request was to fix two doorbells so I can wire my new Ring doorbells rather than wirelessly. I bought an old house that has minimal lighting installation. Min came and fixed the doorbells properly with a new transformer too. In addition, Min installed my recessed lights in every room and ceiling fan installed in every bedroom. Min advised me on lighting placement which was extremely helpful and if you need it moved too. That way you don't have too much or too little. This was a dark house and now every section is bright. I've had a couple of outlet's blown for a few day and decided that today I would take off work and have them changed. Min was able to come out in 15 minutes!!! I was told ahead of time there is a charge for the service call and that get's applied to the first 30 minutes of work. He showed up on time and was able to diagnose and fix the problem within 30 minutes. Min found that one of the switches in my box was bad and had one on hand to replace that too (and it's an old box). After he fixed the issue, he went back through and made sure that everything had power. We asked him for a couple of items on our wish list (larger main box, ceiling fan, etc.) and he told us how he explained how he prices those items out and a rough estimate. We had a great experience with Min Kang, owner of MK Electric. My elderly parents in Granada Hills live in an older home, and one of the outlets inside the house stopped working. I called Min in the morning, he returned my call later the same day, and we agreed to meet the next day at my parent's house. Min diagnosed the issue right away (faulty dimmer switch). We also discovered during our visit that a ballast for some fluorescent lights was not working. Min took a look and confirmed a new ballast was needed. He drove to a local hardware store, picked up the needed parts, and had the job finished very quickly. Min's costs were reasonable, and he is very easy to work with.
