He diagnosed the problem - some hack wire-splice job done on the fan motor itself that fried it. He got a replacement motor quickly and replaced it to ensure that it would last without compromising its functionality. A plumber came (not Crown) and fixed the toilet but the drip persisted. When I tried to call this unnamed plumber back, he said he was out of town for a week. Ugh! Crown to the rescue! I called crown and they sent Elvis over to explore our problem. Elvis quickly determined that the toilet was not our problem and set about exploring other options. After some good detective work, he discovered a very slow leak inside one of our walls. He expeditiously fixed it and explained the cause. This guy knows his business! We also appreciated his being upfront about the cost of his visit had was careful to document the itemized bill. He even carried a book of possible repairs and their cost for transparency. It is hard to find a good plumber but I have high praise for Crown and recommend them without hesitation.

There was an initial mixup about the appointment time, but that was soon sorted, and Saul contacted me prior to his arrival and arrived on time. Quickly getting to work, he identified the problem with our gas insert. He was able to fix the immediate problem to return it to working order and then explained what was happening and why. They said there was a $49 assessment fee to come out and look at my HVAC. (See attached screenshot of Yelp chat). When they got there, they assured me they could take care of the problem and would provide a quote. The visit ended with them charging me $219 somehow. I disputed the additional $170 with my credit card company because this is FRAUD. Even by their own invoice, they did nothing to earn anything past the $49 assessment fee and even that they don't deserve. They NEVER provided me with a written quote. Because I live in a condo building, they had someone call me back and say I would need to pay $10-15k to rent a crane so they could replace my HVAC system and that didn't include any materials, labor etc. Just the crane. They also said they would have to cut through my upstairs neighbor's unit for the repair and that I would be responsible for all of the costs of demolition and restoration. At the time, I was in a different state taking care of an extremely sick family member and when I asked clarifying questions about how they were going to do the HVAC replacement they just kept throwing out bigger and bigger numbers until I was deeply distressed. $10-15k for a crane, another $7k to run some tests on the lines that run to and from the HVAC system, an overall ludicrous quote of $40k--to replace an HVAC system!! They could've just said they don't want the job. They could've even refrained from following up. Instead they needlessly put me in distress and unjustly tried to take $219 from me while providing NOTHING in exchange. I ended up going with a different company who didn't try to take advantage of a young homeowner and didn't need to get a crane. Please don't go with this lazy, crooked company. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. P.S. I also had to ask for a time frame (see other screenshot). They said 9-11. Then I got a call at 7 am that day saying someone was on their way. I was not at all prepared and told them they had to come later.
