I had a plumbing issue that was starting to stress me out, and from the first phone call, I felt like I was dealing with professionals who genuinely cared about helping -- not just booking another job. They responded quickly and showed up right on time, which already put them ahead of a lot of contractors I've dealt with before. The technician was respectful, knowledgeable, and took the time to actually explain what was going on instead of just throwing out technical terms. I really appreciated that. We have had two experiences with Crown Plumber and the latest was so exceptional I wanted to document it here. We had a leak in our basement and believed it to be caused by a toilet leaking. A plumber came (not Crown) and fixed the toilet but the drip persisted. When I tried to call this unnamed plumber back, he said he was out of town for a week. Ugh! Crown to the rescue! I called crown and they sent Elvis over to explore our problem. Elvis quickly determined that the toilet was not our problem and set about exploring other options. After some good detective work, he discovered a very slow leak inside one of our walls. He expeditiously fixed it and explained the cause. This guy knows his business! We also appreciated his being upfront about the cost of his visit had was careful to document the itemized bill. He even carried a book of possible repairs and their cost for transparency. It is hard to find a good plumber but I have high praise for Crown and recommend them without hesitation. read more

Switching from an electric cooktop to a gas one didn't seem like a big project, or so we thought. In hindsight it's a multi phase project involving numerous entities/specialists, which guarantees a complicated process and much coordination. The most crucial step is adding a gas line, which requires calculations, functionality, and a permit from the County. Before we studied the issue in depth, we faced a completely wide range of proposals varying in competence, planning, and pricing ($850 - $2,250!). We opted to apply for the permit ourselves and were educated on the requirements so we could better judge the offers. This is where Edmund stood out right away: no nonsense, or even worst - false claims as to the necessary scope of the project. Instead he clearly explained to us the work, options, and criteria for making the right decision. The offer price was fair and adequate, matched the effort and professional requirement, and performed in a clean, quick, and efficient manner. The work passed inspection with no issues, and Edmund helped us install the cooktop as well, which no other gas installer was willing to do. Once I made a decision, they were able to again visit my home within 24 hours to complete the sump replacement work. The tech did a great job, replaced the pump and cleaned the sump chamber. Crown showed up for my emergency leak in the kitchen. They swapped out the old piping in my kitchen, changed out the kitchen valves, and also changed my broken valve for the main house water line. They showed up in less than 30 minutes of my call! Only thing that made this bittersweet was the $800 price tag. I understand it was an emergency, but I felt it was steep. He was only here for an hour tops! Then again, what do I know about plumbing.... Regardless, I was happy with the response time and solution. Unfortunately the in-wall pipe to an outdoor spigot broke and started leaking. I was able to shut off supply so it wasn't urgent. Called Crown Plumber. Next day Wes was out. They gave me a 2 hour window and Wes called when we was 20 minutes out. He replaced the broken section of pipe and the outdoor spigot for $385. Great service and fair prices. Best Plumbing experience ever!!!! Water was leaking from the ceiling in my storage room (basement area) and realized it was our kitchen faucet. There was a good amount of water that had damaged some items under the sink. He came in and corrected an improperly installed exterior faucet done by another company just a couple of years ago. He had to replace the shutoff, some piping and the hose bib. Did it in record time all while having to work in a very narrow closet in order to access the pipe line. Plus he installed a much better shut off than what had been there.
