    shrimp & grits and beignets
    Melissa Z.

The food here is AMAZING. Everything on the menu sounded so appetizing but we came here early in the morning so we could only choose from breakfast options. However our next trip we will definitelyyyyy be back to try items like the seafood potatoes, lamb chops, fish, etc. The shrimp & grits here are now the best shrimp and grits I ever had! Not even exaggerating one bit. We got it with scrambled eggs, a biscuit, and fried shrimp and not even one bite was leftover. Every single bite was flavorful and creamy and the whole meal was extremely satisfying and enough for 2. The fried shrimp was perfection. The beignets really blew my mind. We finished those with ease because of how tasty they were. I'm not even a fan of donut-like desserts but I would get these every time. The inside was so soft and fluffy. This was easily a 10/10 meal and extremely satisfying. You don't find food like this just anywhere so definitely try it if you're close by.

After pining over Instagram photos and videos for months, I finally made it over to MKM Creations. For this first adventure I had breakfast. I ordered the Patton's hot sausage breakfast ($8.00) and a 3-pc order of glazed beignets ($3.75). The food and service were great. Other than the eggs, which had a box / govt. issued taste to them (I don't think they were freshly cracked eggs), the breakfast was spot on. The grits were creamy, cheesy and well seasoned. I think they add milk to their grits just like I do. I didn't have to add salt or pepper. They were delicious. Of course the hot sausage was sublime. If you're a native, you're familiar with Patton's reputation for producing a quality, almost irresistible product. Lastly, the honey butter biscuit was warm, fluffy and buttery. It's somewhat similar to a KFC biscuit. All that said, I don't know that it was worth $8. The grits were good, but it wasn't a lot of grits. The most expensive ingredient was the hot sausage. Next were the glazed beignets. I've been wanting to try glazed beignets ever since Antoine's debuted them. It seems more bakeries/eateries are adding this item to their menu. I had one as soon as I got back to my car and it was light, airy and not overly sweet. I could've used more sweet, though. I had another one when I got home, but by then it had become dense. Sooo, like a powdered beignet, these are best enjoyed when hot. The location is very small. It can comfortably accommodate about 7 people; pandemic or no pandemic, it's tight. I'm curious who their target audience is because the price point of their signature dishes are out of range for many of the people in the surrounding neighborhood. I'll be back to try some of the heartier dishes like salmon, lobster and lamb chops.

Lamb chops were okay, as well as my 2 sides. I would give this place another try with a different option. It's takeout only so my guy at the counter told me about 15-20 minutes and I got my food just in time. The location is near the corner so you'll have to find street parking which shouldn't be took bad considering the spot is to go only.

When I had planned to visit this establishment, I called numerous times over the phone and sent them a message over instagram,  but didn't get an answer or reply. When they finally did answer,  they said that they weren't taking orders over the phone. So we made our way over there and I ordered whatever looked best on Instagram, which for me was the grilled salmon and seafood potatoes with seafood pasta. When I say this, I mean it as a person fron new orleans, and not Texas, where we drove in from: LAWD! We loved it!  It had that it great Cajun flavor, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked, as was the seafood pasta. It's rare that I even come in to order food because I like to order on the phone and just come to pick up so that I don't have to wait, but this was definitely worth the wait! It only took about 15 minutes to make and it was as I had imagined it to be. I would definitely drive-in from Houston again just to get more of this food. My only regret was not having more time to order more to have it to go with me. Definitely do not order a small order of the pasta, make sure to get a large order, because it is quite good. Even my daughter liked the pasta, and my husband, who is quite picky, and only likes salmon if I make it, liked the salmon as well. And I'm happy to support a black owned business!

Best glazed beignets I've ever tasted! They fry them fresh and hot when you order, chef's kiss!

Hey y'all, I'm from Nola and I just want everyone to know that I KNOW how good food taste and this place "Mkm creations" just wasn't it at all. For starters, the wait time was super long for only wings and fries. I was there for over a hour. The customer service wasn't up to par either, but let's get back on subject and talk about this FOOD. The fries were old, and to say I waited that long I thought I'd be getting some FRESH and WELL SEASONED fries. The fries were stale. Chicken was watery like it was just defrosted and thrown in the grease. My total came up to 29.08. 15$ for a 10 piece and 6$ extra for "seafood fries" with little to NO seafood sauce. I don't recommend this place, 0/10 all across the boards.

The food was very delicious and tasty. I had been trying to get to this establishment several times. I am sooo glad I was able to taste the good cooking everyone keep bragging about. It was really good!!!

The men were extremely amazing who ran the Algiers location. They were so kind and helpful when I had an unexpected order issue. They were helpful and kind. They showed tremendous customer service by, having my food ready ASAP, not only that BUT, even came to my car and updated me how much longer the food will be, then brought it out to my car. God bless these amazing men, and yall have definitely got a loyal customer !!!

This is a must try whenever you visit the N.O. The lamb chops was the best I've ever had. The Gumbo is like someone's grandma cooked it at home, full of shrimp, sausage, and chicken. But the glazed beignets was the best, we ordered a dozen and should have ordered two dozen. The service was quick for a busy Sunday. We definitely will be back soon!

Authentic New Orleans cuisine. This will now become my go to whenever im In Nola and want that true orleans flavor. I devoured every bite. The location is pick up only so plan to take it to go. But its worth the effort. Cant wait to go back.

MKM Creations  Young chefs are making the way starting with from building a business from personal deliveries, then growing to a takeout restaurant. That's exactly how @mkm.creates started her legacy. For the longest time, I have wanted to support this black owned business, and I definitely had my coworkers roll right with me for this one.     We grabbed lunch one Friday and everyone was extremely happy. All together, we ordered "Grilled Salmon Burgers", "Lobster and lamb chop plates with seafood potatoes", wings and "Seafood Wraps". Everything was outstanding. Y'all already know I ordered the Lamb Chops. They were crazy flavorful and you could tell they were cooked at a great temperature. The plate came with two grilled . They were a great size, juicy and buttery. The mashed potatoes were slamming aka amazing. They were topped with creamy seafood sauce.    I also tried a bite of the wrap. I will certainly will be ordering  that on my next visit. The bread had a nice grilled flavor, was still soft and that sauce was just perfect. It was rich, creamy, cheesy and full of seafood. The lobster was also grilled nicely and seasoned even better. The fries were crispy but the salad should have been put on the side. It was soggy due to the sauce from potato ran over. For me this was okay because the sauce is just that darn good, but for someone expecting a salad to eat it would be a bummer.     MKM was very accommodating and pleasant. Unfortunately, they do not take phone orders and I would like to be able to find the menu online a little better. Overall 5/5                                    Atmosphere 3/5                                       Service 5/5                                 Food 5/5

    Fried salmon, seafood potatoes. $26.

It's a solid meal, definitely tasty. I think it was a bit overpriced because while in Nola, I had a similar plate elsewhere that was a lot less. I had the fried salmon with seafood potatoes. I liked that they use red potatoes and you get some skin in them. The salad that it comes with is put under the salmon, separated by foil, but the heat caused it all to be wilted immediately. They should definitely change that. I'd suggest going early because when we went around 5pm, they were sold out a most options.

For entrées we had Banana Foster Pain Perdu, Side of Duck Bacon, Hashbrown, 100% Seafood Gumbo and Fried Catfish. Everything was seasoned to perfection and hot!!! Last but definitely not least are the Cocktails which were very good. Try the Cold Brew Martini if you like iced coffee type drinks and also try the Strawberry Lemon drop for a sweet treat. Both taste great and have a nice amount of spirits in them. This is a must try in NOLA. Will definitely return!!

You have to wait in line to order/pay so depending on how difficult the group(s)/people(s) orders are ahead of you, will dictate how fast this process will go. The place is much bigger than I initially expected. There are 2 floors with seating. It would be hard to accommodate a large party but there's plenty of seating. I live the old 80's/90's theme and decor. Such a great throwback. We ordered 2 drip coffees (you get them in a to-go cups but you can get free refills), and the Grand Slam McMuffin. Both were great. Wish the sandwiches were bigger for the price you pay. $11.50 for a breakfast sandwich is pretty steep, but it's the price you pay considering everything is homemade. I would also like to point out that there is a discrepancy on the price of adding an egg. The menu says it's $2 more but we were charged $2.50. They should really update their menu or be upfront about it. Overall a great place to have a great breakfast. * Please note that you're not allowed to have someone save a table while another waits in line to order. We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside.
