Well, I recently decided to finally put that can in the recycling bin and actually make it over to Wiener Kitchen....and...OH MY GOD IT'S AMAZING!!!! Why have I wasted so many weeks of my life not knowing how delicious the food is here? When the staff realized it was my first visit, they gave me the entire rundown of the food cooked onsite and the fact that you can also purchase their meats to cook yourself at home. It's a pretty small area for eating, but that won't stop me from coming back again and again because I can't believe how much I enjoyed the Chorizo Rojo and the Jalapeno Cheddar Kielbasa! I also had the Chicken Apple which was good, but the other two were the stars of my tastebuds. I'm sure to be back over and over as Wiener Kitchen is officially added to the rotation of frequented restaurants in my repertoire...and you should add it to yours too! You can see more of my experience on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/LHjzsw63YUw

The restaurant itself isn't that big but the guy behind the counter was full of life and energy and the place has a nice vibe. You go up to the counter to order and they have several different sausage options including vegan. Since it was my inaugural visit I went with the Old School famous dog and some Sweet Onion Maui chips. The sausage link was really tasty and it had an assortment of toppings on it along with it being in a fancy hot dog shaped dish. My only complaint is The serving dish. it's A substantial sized entree and difficult to pick up so you have to eat it with a knife and fork and it's difficult to maneuver in the hot dog shaped tray. Someone In our group got the wagyu jerky and shared with us. And as a side note I don't think that was very successful as it didn't really taste like much of anything. And when I think of wagyu, I want a nice fatty piece of meat, not a dried out chunk of shoe leather.

The things I like most about Tay's include: the fries, sriracha ketchup, a fun car for kids meals, and of course the burger with all of the available toppings to choose from. I ordered a single with fries. My wife and I decided that we'll probably share next time. We might even get the slider with fries. My son loved the car his burger was served in. The ladies working were so friendly and worked quickly through the long line to get orders placed. We didn't have any issues finding a table to sit. They have plenty of high chairs and booster seats for kids too.

So the food... that's why we really came here. So many people hyped Tay's Burger Shack up that I think it made me set my expectations really high. I tried the Single Cheeseburger with fries, I will say that I didn't find it very special. My least favorite part was the buns, they didn't seem like they were toasted at all. Just your typical old cheeseburger. The fries were not my favorite. It does make a cute date night and maybe late night snack.

Our guests were so pleased. I've never loved a dog so much!! Also, having a vegetarian husband didn't go over well with most of the caterers we talked to. However, when we made the request, they were happy to come up with a custom "dog" with veggies, black beans and sriracha... it was so great. YUM! It was good and well balanced for a vegetarian. They were friendly, easy to work with and the food was DELISH! We love you Brock Hops!!! If you have planned a wedding, you know there are many details to work out so each vendor can make it easy or they can make things harder... Thanks for adding value to our weekend wedding. Definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed!

This was no made-at-home fried bologna with just bread and meat. But boused up with condiments and thick meat. Nice! Now I have visited them a couple more times at the Merriam market. Never got to see the fried bologna again but from the other items I have ordered, I have been pleased with. This food truck is on the top of my list to hit up when I can. Super excited to see they will be at the next Yelp event (December 2013).

What's better than French fries dipped in a milkshake (which you can also do here with or w/o alcohol haha)? TRUFFLE fries dipped in marshmallow sauce. If you love the sweet and salty combination, ong you will be dumping this sauce in everything. I ALWAYS get literally every sauce: garlic aioli, chipotle cocoa ketchup, jalapeño ranch, guajillo chili dip. Each sauce is delicious in its own way. On a burger that already has enough flavor by itself, or on 3 differently flavors of fries - the combinations are endless here. They can turn any burger into a vegetarian burger, a turkey burger or a salad. I wasn't a fan of the seasoning on the salad so even if you are on a cut or watching what you eat. Please come here with the intention of treating yourself and enjoying some good food. A local spot known around the community, they call your name on the intercom when the food is ready so keep your ears peeled. Extra parking in the back lot if you can't find anything on Mass street.
