The name reminds me of: Will.I.Am - "William" Flo Rida - "Florida" Eminem - "Chocolate candy" Well, John NY (eh...eh?!) is here to proclaim that this place is indeed amazeballs. The star of the show was the honey/brick toast...a gorgeous castle of sweetness. Our special brick toast wonderland fortress consisted of: - Asian flat top bread (buttered and honeyed) - Oreo ice cream (2-3 scoops) - Mochi (2 flavors) - Wafer sticks - Whipped cream - Macarons - Strawberries - Caramel Whoa Nelly. (Also a hip-hop artist.) The matcha/green tea shaved ice w/condensed milk (pairs well with the ice cream) and azuki beans was huge. Be prepared to share. The avocado smoothie was surprisingly creamy and not super sweet like the ones I've had in Vietnamese restaurants. THEY ALSO HAVE A NUMBERING SYSTEM NOW! Wut. So next time you're rolling through the hood (of Tigard), I'd highly recommend a stop here. I'm definitely going to try the bubble tea. Tables are still on the dirty side. Taro boba -- solid. Iced Tea with Lychee & boba -- good, a bit on the sweet side though. Matcha Shaved Snow Ice -- pretty good. I like the boba here because it's chewy & sweet. Had the Matcha shaved snow ice for the first time today & it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend adding condensed milk for a creamier texture. The azuki beans helped too, because it added a nice mild sweetness to it. The reason I give it 3 stars is because the interior isn't that clean (maybe because customers are supposed to bus their own tables) and the service is usually slow. read more

There are so few places that make a good Boba tea. I really wanted to like this place. I needed a nearby place to get a quality strawberry boba milk tea with tapioca and rainbow jelly. I got their strawberry milk tea made with real strawberries. It was in the $5-6 range. A little pricey but not excessive and it's a large size drink... probably 20 oz size? Took and sip and it tasted like mostly milk with a hint of strawberries. Their tapioca balls weren't great either. A little too mushy. It was a cup of disappointment. A couple weeks later I had another hungering for boba tea and decided to give Mo Cha another try. It's only 15 minutes from my house and everyone deserves a second chance. Maybe it was an off-day. Maybe the strawberries weren't flavorful. Maybe it was me and not them. Who knows. Either way I was craving boba and I was going to get it. Unfortunately, once again, it was like drinking a cup of whole milk. Worst part, I got their strawberry jelly (which is cut into these adorable heart shapes BTW) and they didn't even fit in the straw! So long story short. This is not the place for me. Quite good. This place was a recommendation from my sister a while back, but I only just now got to reviewing it. On first impression I thought the decor was nice and clean. I ordered the taro boba tea with tapioca pearls. Price wise, it is on par with the other boba tea shops in the Portland area. The taro one in particular was delicious! The day that I went it was slightly rainy and they left the doors open. It was kind of chilly, but I didn't want to sit in the back next to the bathrooms (as the smell wasn't super pleasant). Came here with my family and was very happy that Portland finally had a shave snow place. The only place that I've ever had this in the nw was in Vancouver BC. Defiantly worth trying. We had the taro and melon flavors. Although the portion is smaller then what you would get in BC, and the price is a little spendy I would recommend trying attest 1x. Their chicken wings were also very good. We had also tried their Honey Toast which was very crispy and filling. That was worth my while. Overall -1 star due to pricing and portions. read more

Came here on a Friday night around 9pm with one of my friends. When we arrived there was quite a bit of people in the tea shop already but we managed to get a seat. It got super busy just after we got there though, so I'm glad we got there at a good time. The ambience here is very nice. It's very clean, bright, and well decorated. It's definitely a good place to come and chat with your friends with some pretty good bubble tea. My friend and I just got basic stuff: I got matcha milk tea with tapioca pearls and she got original milk tea with pearls. We both liked our drinks but we weren't in love with the pearls. I thought they could have been cooked a little bit longer so they can be more chewy. One thing I thought was cool was that they still used those hand cocktail shakers to make the drinks. Most of the places I've been to have already switched over to using machines to shake their bubble tea. It's nostalgic for me because I remember as a kid I used to get bubble tea from places that used the shakers. The cups they used are "regular" thick plastic cups and not those thinner plastic bubble tea cups that gets sealed with a film of plastic on top. So the disadvantage of these cups is you can't flip your bubble tea upside down to mix it. One other thing I noticed is that they were very child friendly. Very confusing menu and overpriced. When we asked for recommendations, their customer service people looked annoyed. They couldn't explain their menu and could not recommend an ice cream dish. We brought our emotional support Dog and seemed annoyed he was inside the restaurant. I asked for explanation on the dishes we ordered because we weren't sure what we ordered given the confusing menu. The second server only mentioned that we cannot order 2 flavors unless we order the large portion. It would've been nice to learn that at the cash register instead of her scolding us for ordering incorrectly. Not a lot of love at this place. I don't predict they will survive long with a confusing menu and attitude with staff. Don't expect warm and fuzzy entering this place. Customer service is high on my list and they rate low. Nice place to study, eat, or hang out with friends. The food may be a bit pricey, but overall decent. I would recommend the popcorn chicken ( snack or with rice). I would avoid the fried tofu. Been here several times and usually their service is slow, but tonight was more than just slow.. Walked in and it was not busy at all. One lady in the back, one lady cleaning tables right by the door. The lady by the door didn't care to look up and greet us, their paying customer.. No hi, no welcome, nothing. We stand by the cashier waiting for someone to come help but a good 5 minutes of no one caring to do so.. Turned around and noticed the lady was cleaning all of the tables. After she finished, she then came behind the counter and without eye contact, in a rude, grumpy manner asks, "Are you ready to order?" I responded back with "I've been ready for 5 minutes" no sorry, no apologies. Just a dry and disrespectful personality. Very rude, slow service, and I will not return after being treated that way. First time and last time for me. Matcha latte was gritty af. Couldn't even drink 1/5 of it. Like bleh. There house milk tea (original) is 2/5. Then I ordered there taro snow with condense milk. So the snow itself is thick and just some parts are just as powdery as my matcha. The next dessert i ordered was a mini brick toast mo cha. Mocha gross. But I have to admit their bread for the toast smelled good and taste good and who can go wrong with vanilla ice cream. Like common. Hot Boba Milk Tea only exists in Asian countries such as Taiwan. I was incredibly happy to find out that this Tea house sells such a thing and on top of that I get to dictate how much sugar goes into my boba tea as well as what tea and flavors. There are not many places here in Town that will let me order 50% sugar hot boba green milk tea and I am incredibly impressed that someone decided to bring that ordering model to U.S. They don't have proper food but they have pretty decent fried snacks such as popcorn chicken and fried tofu. Their popcorn chicken definitely reminded me of the Salt and Pepper Chicken from Taiwan night markets. It is because of these snacks and the ability to order hot drinks that is not overly sweet that keeps me going back to this Tea House. I truly hope it will stick around for a while. Go if you're retired or a bored housewife with lots of time on your hands cuz this place is slow as a snail. They ask for your name to call it out when your order is ready.. LIES, they call out the dessert and description instead. How efficient. Not. Plus the music cuts in and out so lots of times its crickets in there while waiting for your order. Finally, I found a cute cafe that offers a variety of things including brick toast (albeit a bit pricey compared to what I'm use to, but that is the nature of not having much competition in the area). I decided to get the "Berry Cute" brick toast and my friend got the strawberry snow cream. The snow cream came out pretty quickly but the toast took 15-20 mins to make, which the employees were nice enough to inform me of beforehand. Both items were very yummy and I'm hoping that next time I come again I'll get to try a tasty drink in their cute mugs. For it's location, Mo Cha Tea House has some great bubble milk tea (boba). First off, this place is not in Portland--its in the suburbs of Portland. So, unless you have a reason to be in Beaverton, i.e. your hotel is out there, it's about a half hour drive outside of Portland-proper. If you're trekking this far out, you must be really craving some boba. Looking around Portland, I didn't see much of a boba scene. After all, it is Portland--there's so much other stuff going on you can afford to skip the boba and get some good coffee instead. But then again, there are always the people who live off of boba, so you'll seek out boba in every city you visit. The milk tea here is good. Try not to have too high of expectations if you're coming from LA or SF where there is an infestation of boba shops. But given the context, I really enjoyed the milk tea here. You can select the type of creamer (they have soy if you're lactose-intolerant), the sweetness level, and the ice level. I appreciate places that let you do this since I prefer not-so-sweet drinks with less ice. They have a plethora of topping ranging from the typical boba to some of the other toppings such as aloe and jelly, etc, etc. I only tried the boba, which I thought was of pretty decent quality. It wasn't hard or crunchy, nor was it disgustingly mushy and soft. Also, it was a little bit sweet, which I appreciate. (some places don't sweeten their boba beforehand, so they taste gross when you eat them). The store itself doesn't have too much seating--maybe around 10 tables? Not so great for a huge group of people. One wall of the store has been fitted with a garage-door, so during the warm summer months, they open the door for a nice cross-breeze. During the summer, it's a great place to just chill and hangout with some friends. This place is our in the suburbs so there's plenty of parking in the plaza parking lot.
