Came and checked this place out after filling up on gas at Costco. It is inside the Diner and Car wash building. Car wash was closed when we went due to the overcast weather. I ordered the beef Bulalo and my hubby ordered tapsilog. We were served some chips and salsa and then a bowl of beef broth. Delicious and flavorful broth. I got my bulalo with steamed rice. Fresh veggies and tasty broth. My hubby's tapsilog was delicious too. I had to try a piece. Lots of flavor and the portions are plenty. Very tropical ambiance. True filipino feels. We loved their Bulalo ( Filipino beef soup ), the meat is tender and the soup is tasty. Another favorite is their Tocilog, a Filipino breakfast staple. Mo Nina's Filipino Restaurant is a new addition within Cruisers Car Wash. The space has been occupied by several restaurants in the past, with the last few occupants providing Filipino food. This eatery however, also provides Mexican dishes. It is a nice location to get carry out, while your car is being cleaned and washed. I tried the Kare Kare with Chicken. It comes with 3 good size portions of chicken leg and thigh and very few beans, egg plant and one small piece of Bok Choy immersed in a thick peanut sauce. The accompanying steamed rice was good. However, they could easily improve on the components of the main dish. Personally, I feel that they should reduce the price and provide only two pieces of chicken. There needs to be more quantity of the vegetables, which were too scanty for this dish. Furthermore, I found the chicken pieces to be tough. More marination, maybe? TONY was the best - he was really attentive and kind. He feels really proud of the food he is serving here, and for good reason! I got the Kare Kare (peanut butter stew with beef) and the Lechon Kawali. The lechon is so deep fried crispy. My cholesterol hates me, but my stomach does not. Definitely recommend coming here! Firstly, the wife and husband owners are very friendly. The food was delicious and we loved that you get the best of both worlds (Filipino food and Mexican food). The little restaurant is tucked inside cruisers car wash and is very cute. They have both booths and a few little tables. Tucked in a car wash parking lot, Mo Nina is the definition of "don't judge the book by its cover". Kudos to Monina and Tony, a Filipina and Mexican chef duo who are also husband and wife so thankful that they perfectly cater to our taste all in one place because I am a Filipina and my husband is Mexican - I'd rather have Filipino food and the hubby would rather have Mexican. The owner is very friendly. Meals come with a Bulalo broth on the side along with your meal. Also, steamed rice is unlimited. I had the chance to try their Kare Kare dish. It was not too sweet on their peanut butter stew which was great and was very well complimented with the bagaoong. I do have to say that the rice was a little undercooked the meal itself was delicious. Meal is small but good enough to share between 2 people. Another highlight was a sample of the pancit sotanghon. Noodles were cooked perfectly with the right amount of flavor also complimented with a lime (calamansi would be a good compliment). None the less it was a good dish. It is located in the car wash in the Costco lot. So, if you're getting a car wash, come by and check this hidden restaurant. Very friendly staff, quiet atmosphere (despite it being in a car wash), quiet music and good food. For a place that has been open for 5 months, I would come back and try their other items on the menu. And next time I will take a picture of the food before I consume it. read more

We used to go to this location when it was Lilian's, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover Mo Nina's! The staff were immediately friendly as soon as we entered, and while we were deciding what to get as first-timers, a customer sitting nearby turned to us and told us that this was the best food in the Valley. So you KNOW it's a good sign when everyone, from the staff to the customers, is vouching for Mo Nina's! And I'm inclined to agree. We ordered their bulalo and their chicken mole so we can try both cuisines. Each meal is made-to-order, so the dishes come out as freshly cooked as possible. The wait time for the dishes was short, but despite the short wait, they bring you chips and salsa and tiny bowls of bulalo broth to whet your appetite. The bulalo broth is clear but still has much of the deliciousness without the use of MSG. The beef was nice and tender, the bone marrow was big, and the vegetables provided a perfect balance of freshness to the umami savoriness of the soup. The mole sauce was incredible! It was rich, had lots of good spices, and a nice kick that worked well with the Spanish rice and beans. The chicken legs were huge and the meat was tender, too. All in all, a very delicious meal! The ambiance of a small restaurant tucked away inside a car wash always felt cozy, but Mo Nina's staff adds to the ambiance with its welcoming staff. Monina personally took the time to talk to us, as did her husband and family friend, about the restaurant's start a few months ago and how it's been like working in this location.
