The beer tasted watered down. Not sure if it's because we're from the San Diego area where great beer is served everywhere (SD is known as the craft beer capitol). The food was ok; nothing special. I had the fish fajitas and they were not very flavorful. Needed some umph!! My hubby had the bratwurst sandwich and they really should serve it while not sliced. He said it tasted like a bratwurst Philly cheesesteaks. Oh, and lastly, they sat us near the kitchen when they had plenty of better spots/booths elsewhere in the restaurant. When we asked to get moved to the enclosed patio we were told the waiter wasn't ready for us (as the other hostess lead another party to the patio. Huh?) There are INSANE amounts of people in Moab on the weekends in Spring. If you didn't know this already, be warned. Be ready for a wait at pretty much every restaurant on the main strip. The wait for a table here at about 6 PM was 70 minutes. And we waited about that long. I feel like the bar should be more accommodating knowing that this is going to happen. And know that if you're grabbing a drink in the bar while waiting for a table: 1. You have to stay in the bar with the drink. And good luck on getting a drink from the overwhelmed bartenders. 2. You will either be standing in a claustrophobic's nightmare of a crowd while drinking said drink or waiting impatiently to grab a seat/table in the bar area. 3. If you are lucky enough to grab a table, you will have vulturous patrons waiting impatiently for you to leave said table. That being said, once we got a table, everything else went swimmingly. The waiter took a bit to get my second drink, but was so nice that I couldn't be annoyed with him about it. In my opinion, the food was GOOD. The Hummus Wrap was delectable, and the Sunflower Cilantro Dressing that came with it on the side was so good I wanted to lick the container. The Veggie Chili that I got with it was ok, a little bland for my taste, but hearty. I could barely finish half of the food, and I was starving. The waiter was very nice and got me "to go" containers for everything. I didn't even have to ask twice! The next time I visit Moab, I'm coming in the middle of the damn week, because I can't take that many people. But when I do, I will make sure to make a repeat appearance at this joint! read more

It is what it is, only brewery within 100 miles of Moab and after hiking all day anything will do. The place seems to always be busy but we were able to get a seat at the bar right away. Got a huge pretzel, little stale in some parts, beer cheese and mustard was good. Beers are ok, Utah is very limiting with what you can do but its not terrible. service was fast, no empty beer glasses left on table. The fries were pretty good, thats all we had so cant speak for a full meal. Only game in town so take what you can. read more

The burger was cooked appropriately, right amount of blue cheese, but the Cajun seasoning tasted more like a Mexican spice blend than a traditional Cajun seasoning. The service was really slow, especially considering it was an off-peak time (2:30-ish). I think the server had too many tables. We waited a long time for him to come to our table. Our drinks were slow to arrive, and our glasses went dry before the food came. (At which point our server realized we needed refills.) The Bavarian pretzel appetizer was HUGE, and really good. The beer cheese sauce was AMAZING -- which is high praise from a Wisconsin girl who has high standards for beer cheese. Our entrees were so-so. We had heard good things from friends, so we came here on our first night in Moab. The space is huge and though busy, we were able to snag space in the bar area. We started with 4 of their beers as a sampler ( we wanted to get more but the rules are only 2 per person at a time). The beers were ok. I read later in another review that the alcohol percentage is limited. I did get one of their canned beers and that was much tastier. The food was ok...but it was cheap so that helps. My fish and chips were actually pretty good but the onion rings had a dark batter and tasted off. Our server seemed too busy and forgot our drink order once. Overall, we probably wouldn't return, though I would consider buying some of their beers from a liquor store. We paid about 48$ for dinner so at least it was cheap. read more

The beer was surprisingly good. The previous reviews had me pretty skeptical but the beer had nice subtle flavors. The service was also good and everyone was wearing a mask. Foodwise we only for the pretzel and it was not very good. It was covered in butter, like movie theater butter and it was cold and hard in places. Honestly this restaurant was just okay Definitely not following Covid-19 guidelines as the bar was overflowing with customers and the overall restaurant was way too packed. However, all the staff were wearing masks! Texas Pit Smoked Combo (tri-tip, ribs, and hot Italian sausage)- tri-tip was flavorless and ribs were just okay but the sausage was so good and so long! Was the best thing that came on that plate besides the onion rings. The coleslaw had a funky taste to it, as if they added pineapple juice to it?? Selection of beers was scarce and average. More so a restaurant than a brewery. We had their vegetarian chili which was soupy. There burrito was well done, but average. Visited this spot for a late dinner. Thankful they actually sat us as it was close to their closing time. Food was good, not exceptional but it did its job... filled out empty stomachs :). Waiter was funny in a quirky way, not particularly attentive but we got all we needed. At the end you get what you pay for, no frills American food, fast service. I am really surprised this place has good reviews and always has a wait. We came and ate in the bar because there was no wait. Loved that they had their own vodka which was excellent! Our waitress was potentially having a really bad day or she was really upset she had another table to wait on. Both me and my boyfriend felt like she wanted nothing to do with us except collect our money and get out. Not an inviting soul for sure. We ordered really quickly and the veggie burger was ok. Nothing great. This is kinda like a TGIF or Applebees. Its always packed and it closes early and with the service we got we won't be back. Walked in with 5 asked about getting some beers outside - was told Utah law prohibits beer outside (realize that isn't under their control) however several people were outside playing cornhole and drinking beer. Sat us in the dining room - 7 minutes nobody showed up, went to hostess asking for service. 2 - 3 more minutes nothing (wasn't that busy). We got up asked host if could go into bar and just stand and get a beer - "Oh yes you need to get the beer in there" - very confusing. We stood next to the bar - no service, and didn't see a service place around the bar. One lady in our party saw the bartender (whom was flirting with some lady) "excuse me where do we order". Rudely didn't even turn all the way around - pointed finger out at her and basically said he'd get to her. We walked out. Would not recommend on service alone. read more

If you want to eat somewhere and feel safe during covid times, this is not it. Our waiter came to our table multiple times with his mask completely pulled down. Many of the wait staff, including the hostesses, were walking around with their masks only covering their mouths, but not their noses. Moab Brewery is an institution in Moab. Why? Because it's the town's only microbrewery. Its popularity results in long lines but I don't mind a wait for fresh, hand-crafted ales--especially in the desert! My dinner was surprisingly delicious. Plus, the portions are generous so prices aren't too bad for a vacation destination. I was particularly smitten with our waitress who was super friendly and sweet. Background: Moab Brewery is a tavern, restaurant, gift shop, and ice cream parlor all wrapped in one. I was hesitant about dining here. I knew the craft beers would be great (I've had their brews at other restaurants in Moab), but the food sounded iffy based on the reviews. However, I think if you set your expectations correctly and order their most popular items, you should be fine. Don't come anticipating a gourmet or incredible meal. The brewery offers western fare (think Tex-Mex, pizzas, steaks, burgers, and pastas); nothing fancy or mind-blowing. It's a casual eatery where you can refuel following a day's worth of adventuring in the nearby canyon country. After a strenuous 10+ mile hike in Canyonlands, my boyfriend and I arrived at Moab Brewery around 8pm. There were a bunch of folks waiting outside and we were given a buzzer and told the wait was around 25 minutes. We ended up being seated in less time than that. After perusing the brewery's extensive food menu, we decided on the following two entrees: Pistachio Chicken - pan-seared chicken breast topped with toasted pistachios and raspberry habanero sauce. Served with a dinner salad, vegetables and choice of garlic red potatoes or rice pilaf. Blacken'd Tilapia Filet Pasta - tilapia seared with fiery spices on a bed of penne and tossed with a tomato jalapeño cream sauce. Served with garlic bread. I can't remember the names of the beers we had but they were excellent. You can't go wrong with the brews here. Only wish there was more buzz in them (dang Mormons -- UT law restricts alcohol to 3.2% by weight). Both our entrees were HUGE and very filling. My chicken was moist and flavorful. The crushed pistachios elevated this dish. The raspberry habanero sauce was awesome. An unlikely duo but it added depth to my chicken with a sweet, tangy, and spicy flair. I opted for the red potatoes (starch freak right here), and loved them. The salad and veggies were all solid as well. My boyfriend enjoyed his pasta and the tilapia was flaky and soft. Only negative was the garlic bread; it needed more garlic flavor. So, it's a strong 4 stars for Moab Brewery. Definitely a place to replenish or chill after some rigorous outdoor activities in the area. read more

Great brews and gelato! The shop felt a little crowded given Covid, but it's clearly a popular spot so we were just glad we got to try it.

Don't leave reviews very often, but feel like I should for this place. We spent a weekend in Moab, driving out from Denver (5 hours or so). Stayed right across the street at La Quinta. Heard good things about the brewery, so took a look. The winter special price of $2.75 for a micro beer was the first thing we took advantage of. The menu is excellent and wide. I went with a vegetarian burrito, and some jalapeno corn bread - both were excellent. What really shows here is the service, and attention to detail. We tried another place the 2nd night, but decided to go back to the Brewery again ($2.75 beers!) Second time around we also bought gelato - right inside the door. Great place! read more

The beers here are pretty good. We sampled every single one they had. Each sample is 65 cents which is a bargain in my opinion! We could only have 4 at a time on the table. Some rule I think they have in Utah. No biggie. The food was just so so. We both had burgers. I had the jack Daniels burger and Andrew had the chile burger. He said mine was better - I didn't even bother trying his. Their BBQ JD sauce is homemade which is pretty cool. It was pretty tasty. The service here was pretty great as well. Very cute brewery inside. I was so hungry by the time we got to Moab from Scottsdale, AZ. We got a beer and dirty martini with their house distilled vodka which was the smoothest martini ever. After dinner we went into the little store attached to the restaurant and bought a bottle of their vodka. The food was average for a brewery and we were satisfied with the food itself. We ordered the smoked salmon dip with pita( would have liked the pita warmed a bit), onion rings( what can I say, hard to mess up onion rings), and vegetarian chili. The chili was the star of the meal and I would suggest giving it a try even if you are not a vegetarian. It was extremely flavorful and hardy on that cold evening.
